Super cute farmers market. Great place to get fresh veggies and fruit and locally made bites. On the pricey side but who's counting? lol. Really nice place to eat outside. The weather was nice so it felt really peaceful. I'd recommend anyone to swing by who's in the area.

Upscale market and farm utopia, with sprawling meadows and picnic tables and classes for kids and fresh blueberries and green juices and plums and more. Of course everything is expensive but that's the Hamptons. Offers breakfast and lunch sandwiches, too. A ritzy outdoor supermarket where you could laze at the picnic tables for a while and people watch. 5 stars!!!

Great not-for-profit farm with fresh produce and tasty lunch offerings. Educational garden is open to the public, unique for the east end of Long Island. Friendly staff and interesting operation. Highly recommend!!

Best farm stand! Glad we were able to make stop in Amagansett at Amber Waves from Montauk to NYC. What a gem - hard to miss since it's on the main road. Fresh fruits, veggies, and flowers, cute merchandise too. I'm all for this non-profit. Must stops when at the Hamptons.

Fresh menu with interesting flavor combinations. Get it to go or eat at their outdoor picnic tables. Everything was fresh and made well, though it took a bit of time to come out.

Absolutely LOVED this farmers market! We decided to stop by on our way home from Montauk and had fun exploring. The indoor section has a lot of fresh food that you can take home or sit outside to eat. I took home a couple items, but I'm the most excited about the mini eggplants because I've never seen those before. You can also head to the flower field to pick your own flowers, or walk around to see the animals and produce that they're growing. They even have a workshop section in which they'll have different lessons throughout the week (pasta workshop, wine and cheese pairing, tomato sauce making class, etc). This place is so cute and I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

The best place I ate at in The Hamptons. I know it's more farm than restaurant but it's got more soul than most. As a California girl you know I have a produce obsession and quite honestly spoiled when it comes to selection of fresh and in season fruit and vegetables, so it's no surprise that I fell in love with the place.

Really cute little farm stand in Amagansett located on the highway. They have a variety of organic fruits, vegetables and plants here, along with home goods such as soaps and bath salts. There is an outdoor seating area they have with tables in the shade.

Amber Waves is everything you'd want for a day out in Amagansett. It IS expensive, but that's what you get out in the Hamptons. Their kitchen is closed Tuesday (of course we tried to go for breakfast on a Tuesday) but it was worth it to try and go again. Their brunch and lunch options are written out and seasonal, and they have a few vegan/gluten-free options. The pastries we tried were all great, and not too full of sugar. Shop for produce and bougie snacks... or have a meal, or do it all! There is a large field for picnicking and playing if you have the family with you. Parking is easy just along the street, and they have tables and benches for you to enjoy your meal at. They offer proper teas and coffees, and we also tried a delicious blueberry muffin. I thought their take on bun chay (Vietnamese cold noodle salad) was, well, just a summer American salad with vermicelli. But the socca hit it out of the park. This is a naturally gluten-free chickpea flatbread. They filled it with veggies and it was just the perfect texture and flavor. Savory, summery, warm, filling. I also had my final summer peach here, and it was so ripe and juicy that it might be enough to get me to the next peach season...

Yummy and healthy take away food. Loved the vibe and the many offerings here! Great latte also ;)

Nice little market. Good selection of local produce, cheeses and provisions. Prices were very high it seemed. The place has friendly folks and some nice walkable grounds. Some of their stuff isn't easily marked with pricing so that was a bit annoying. Overall good spot if you want to pick up local goods for a meal.

Socca ($16)

I came here on my first day in the Hamptons, and it was such a good first stop. The whole place is adorable. I wandered around the shop first, where they have a ton of really great looking produce and other products. I got an oat milk latte and Socca ($16). The Socca was a chickpea pancake with a medley of vegetables and a salad. The whole thing was delicious and it was so nice sitting outside of their farm. Everyone that works there was also really nice. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu and shop around their market.

Friendly staff, cute ambience, and some of the best groceries in the Hamptons -- way better than the IGA down the road.

Artists & Writers Softball Game

Artists & Writers Softball Game

Alec Baldwin struck out. Let's just get that out of the way right off the bat, no pun intended…read more Baldwin whiffed in the first inning, which was the "first-ever strikeout in the 61-year history of the Artists & Writers Softball Game," said the P.A. announcer. The charity game, played last Saturday in East Hampton, is by far the longest-running sporting event on the east end of Long Island (way older than pussy polo). This year's game raised money for East End Hospice, East End Day Care Center and Phoenix House. Here are some of the things I observed/learned during this year's game, while sitting in the small center field bleachers: ** The first Artists game, played in the beautiful Springs area (before the lowly Writers got involved years later), featured such players as Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning. ** Herrick Park, site of this year's game, is a dead zone on the Internet. Try Googling it, try Bing, try finding it on Google Earth. Where the fuck is this place? ** Actress Lori Singer, of "Footloose" fame and some other stuff, is a pretty good outfielder and has a gun for an arm. She's like the Artists' version of Melky Cabrera. ** Veteran scribe Mike Lupica is a pretty scrappy second baseman. I don't think he should give up his day job on "The Sportswriters," but he can play on my team any day. ** Biggest error of the game? Whoever decided it would be a good idea to play live cheesy music over loudspeakers during the actual game. Da fuck is that all about? Meanwhile, the game turned into a thrilling back-and-forth affair. It was tied, 11-11, after nine innings, before the Writers scored a run on an error in the bottom of the tenth for a 12-11 win. A great time was had by all, money was raised for local charities, and I want Lori Singer on my team, too. Even if I have to trade Lupica. As for Baldwin, I have two words of advice for next year: Batting Practice. BP, babe.

At it's peak, there were 150+ fellow viewers. I loved every moment... the wonderful instructor was extremely calming, motivating, down to earth and genuinely positive. In fact, I almost forgot that this was being done over Zoom... it felt like the class was literally happening within my living room.
