Not a big fan of This theatre - it is older and they have done renovations like the reclining chairs but they are all in a row with no tables and impossible not to social distance . Management needs to revisit regular theater-monitoring protocols because I just got out of a 7:30 p.m. showing with my two kids during which a group of teenagers roamed around the doorway and the last partial row behind us. They sat on the floor behind us and vaped and talked throughout the entire show. Like constant clouds of smoke. I'm not at all a prude, but didn't come to AMC with my kids to party. This behavior would not have escalated had staff regularly monitored the theater or their security cameras - especially for areas prone to this sort of thing. Out of all the suburban AMCs I've been to (which are a lot!), this Norridge location ranks amongst the highest. It wasn't outstanding, but definitely above average! This AMC was very clean - you can tell it was redone not too long ago. The counters and flooring were all new (or at least they looked new!), and the bathrooms were nice, as well. It is on the bit smaller side; the lobby was one of the smallest I've seen, but again, it was really clean and nice. The theaters itself were hugeeeee. They surprised me since the lobby was small! I don't know if this was just in the theater I went to, but the theater was very non-steep if that makes sense. I feel like they should've made the stairs and seats higher and steeper because it looked and felt very low. The seats were very comfortable and all reclined. I would definitely come to this AMC again! read more

My first time here and I was impressed with the size of the theatre, the reclining seats, and the leg room. I'm 5'8 and even with my legs stretched out someone was still able to walk by in front of me. Bathroom was also clean; which is a plus. read more

Rough day for the Norridge Theater. I'm really partial to this place as I grew up close by watching Star Wars here as a kid, pretended to be 16 in order to see Jerky Boys, had a few blind dates where i wish i was blinded, oh the memories but this is all besides the point. Took my daughter to see Dune 2, got popcorn (butter machines all broken), go to the theater and watch every dumb preview for 20 mins ranging from the next Ryan Reynolds movie where I'll be forced to think he's actually funny to the next M Night Shyamalan movie where the ending I'm sure somehow disappoints us all again. Dune 2 comes on for 17 seconds and the power goes off. We all have to leave because if the "power goes back on there could be an electrical fire." Word to the wise to the young AMC manager, don't mention the word fire in a public place. So, I'm back home, guess I'll just have to watch the Sixth Sense again, the only M Night Shyamalan movie with a good ending (PS Bruce Willis is dead). read more

This is a very nice theatre inside. The location is a bit hidden but a very nice theatre. Plus they also make the theatre good for watching movies. Some other AMC theaters don't. They have reserved seating, recliner seats, and ample leg room too. I most likely will revisit this theatre again later. read more

This theater is located right by the HIP mall which is nice if you want to shop beforehand. There's a very large parking lot but no garage to protect your car from snow/rain. The theater is tucked behind chick fil a and go bananas. When you walk in, it's a very clean theater. No bar area like other AMC theaters but good enough for me. When I went into the theater for the movie, I was a bit disappointed because the seats aren't really stacked at an incline. It slightly is but not steep enough because my seats were in the back and it was hard to see the screen. There were recliner seats but I couldn't lie down and view the screen completely. That might be because I'm short too though. Overall this is a nice AMC if you're in the area but it's not my top choice because of my obstructed view. read more

I'm only giving 4 stars because we were like an hour or more into the movie before the turned the lights off in the film room. So before that it was extremely bright in the theater, which was irritating and took away from the experience of the movie. Really love this theater tho overall! The staff was chill. The theater was clean, they also now offer wipes to sanitize your seat which I think is generous and thoughtful! I hope it is a continued effort/standard across the bird for theaters! read more

I like this theater because it's small, relatively close, and has recliner seats in each of the auditoriums. But it's also sometimes weird in how it works... I've been here to see films where the theater didn't even open until 10-15 minutes before the film was supposed to begin. That might not be too big a problem if it didn't happen as often as it seems to (I like to get to movies early). But what might make it a bigger problem is that there is literally nowhere to sit except for the auditoriums or the bathroom. There is a single small bench near the exit of the theater, and that bench is the only place (besides the toilets and theater seats I mentioned) to sit while you're waiting for a movie to begin. And for people with any sort of mobility issue, that might be kind of a pain. Also annoying is that they sometimes have someone to check tickets, and sometimes not. So when they don't, you have to wait for someone to either come from wherever they are over to the ticket purchase area, or you have to wait for the person who's managing the ticket machines to have a moment to come check your ticket. There may be a way to do it via the machines, but I'm not familiar with them (and there's no one to show you how they work), and also as an AMC a-List member I'm supposed to show my ID anyway. read more

RIP OFF PRICES.....GO TO THE AMC ROSEMONT OR PICKWICK Came to see a 1 pm matinee movie, "The Goldfinch" and it is not a matinee price. $9.99 plus tax, $1.20 so the price point is a major rip off. Go to the AMC ROSEMONT where the 1st movie of the day is only $4.99 or the Pickwick in Park Ridge where tickets are $6 (matinee before 5 pm). Tickets at the AMC Rosemont are $4.99 before 2 p.m. (if you see a movie at the AMC Rosemont after 2 p.m., you will pay a higher price). This is the 1st showing of the day but matinee prices are non-existent here (unless of course you see a movie at 9:30 a.m., 10 a.m. or 11 a.m.). I returned on September 22nd to see Downton Abbey. I saw the 11 a.m. movie and my total was only $6.15 (however the next showing of the same movie is $9.99 (even if it starts at 1:30 or 2 p.m.). I hate, hate, hate getting ripped off. This AMC theater is a major rip off. Paying $9.99 for a 1 pm movie? WTF is wrong with the AMC Norridge!!!!!! read more

I bright my moon and niece to see Barbie today. Wednesday. They had no cheese for nachos or pretzel bites, No slushy. One of the fountain machines was not working and we were not told. My niece got black sticky stuff so offer her. The popcorn was stale. This is a sad theater. I do NOT recommend it! I will never come back. read more

This is a typical AMC Theatre localed along Harlem Avenue. There is ample parking. The theatre appears not as clean as a few other AMC theatres I have visited. The carpets are heavily stained and seats and cup holders not clean. Also, the social distancing for movie goers not in the same group is not practiced. My party was seated next to another party of movie goers without space between us. And after the movie, when the lights came on, you can see a packed theater with no socially distance between movie goers. The theater has the comfy recliner seating but without the social distance and the dirty carpets and seats that are not cleaned I wonder how safe it is. There is mask wearing protocols at the theater. I do not wish to return to this theater again until they clean the carpets or replace them and get and follow better sanitation and social distance protocols. read more

Came here the other day and I like it a little more than I did the first time I came when they first opened. I'm getting more used to the seats because they have them at the Streets of Woodfield (which I've been going to a lot more), and the workers where you buy tickets are super nice here. When I came to see A Star Is Born, there was a bit of an issue. The movie was supposed to start at 7:30, but when we were about to walk in at 7:10, the worker was in there and said he still had to clean. Understandable, but the there was a large crowd of people waiting outside the theater until 7:30 because he didn't leave the room til right when the previews started. We were all so annoyed and had no where to even go. It was crazy because the literally 30 people were standing outside the theater and no worker even walked up to anyone and apologized it was taking so long. When he finally left the theater, he just walked out wide-eyed because of all of the people just staring at him annoyed. Now again, this would have been fine if the theater was actually clean, but it really wasn't. Popcorn was still on the floor, and the garbage was literally full to the top still. He literally only took the garbage that overflowed onto the counter and threw that out but left the full garbage bag of crap in there. The thing that makes me really not like this theater over many others is that you can hear booms and vibrations from other movies. When I was watching my movie, idk what movie was next to us, but the other movie was so loud and we heard it all through the silent parts of our movie. Super annoying. read more

Update: This is the first time I've been to this theater in over 3 years, since before the Covid pandemic hit. Yesterday, I went to see"Killers of the Flower Moon", an excellent film, my second time seeing it actually, but my first time seeing it at this theater. Sadly, I have to give this theater a poor review. First of all, the theater auditorium was exceptionally cold and the air that was blowing down on us was cold air not heat, the temp outside was 31 degrees, the heating system should have been activated. Secondly, the electronic reader that I was given, was only picking up about 70% of the dialogue. Best tip: if you are coming to see a film here during the winter months, wear thermal underwear, thick socks and bring a hat and gloves, especially during a long picture like this that ran well over 3 hours. Finally for the money that I paid to see this film here, I could of just waited to buy the DVD when it's released and watch it in the heated comfort of my living room. read more

Unbeatable prices for AM cinema. I watched the last Avengers flick here with my brother and the tickets I purchased through AMC's website only cost $5.49 each. Reserved seating - always a plus. They can be so comfy that some moviegoers could easily fall asleep. Some guy sitting somewhere in the rows in front of me did and the whole room heard him snore a couple of times during the movie... There's a ton of space in between rows, so if you're like me and don't have 20/20 vision, I would suggest moving up your usual row preference. But I guess that also depends on which room your movie will be showing in. I believe we were in the biggest one (had rows from A to P) and I thought sitting on the L row was a bit too far. The sound was certainly off a bit and it kind of tainted the experience, but since the tickets weren't that much it wasn't a major issue. read more

It's not the swankiest of movie theaters, but with it's proximity to home and the ability to reserve seats, AMC Norridge is a fave. The area needed a movieplex and it's great that they built one on the site of a much loved and visited theater complex from the 80's. With some nice restaurant choices in the area it can make for a nice outing. I like the reclining seats--although they aren't as comfy as some other theater's I've visited, but they are roomy and there is plenty of space between rows so you don't feel crowded. It's not real stadium seating either, but the movie view isn't that bad. Typical movie fare--popcorn, soda, nachos. There looks to be a bar and some other food, but we are matinee people so I've never seen the bar open. I love the Coca Cola Freestyle machine--that's always a plus. Folks working here are always nice. The place always seems clean/tidy, but like I said, we are here during the day so unsure of what it's like during the busy evening hours. Big parking lot. But easily accessible by bus too. read more

First time coming to this theater now that they have completely remodeled it and its pretty nice! Not as big as most of the other theaters but they did a good job with the place. Full bar for the adults who want a little drink to unwind from their daily lives. For me thats the whole idea of going to the movies, so you feel like you're in a whole different world or time. The new seating is also great, every single seat is a plush lazy boy recliner and there is plenty of space between everyone which is not usually the case. Got me a nice cold large cup of bluemoon and a tub of popcorn and I was ready to watch the movie! Huge parking lot so no problem with spaces and the staff is pretty friendly. Only negative is that reclining chair was not working so I didn't get the full lazy boy experience while watching the film. Other than its a great place to watch some movies. read more

Longtime listener/eater/drinker/: This place got quite the make-over. More like A-M-I see you! Last time I was there, it was heartbreaking. Sorta how I felt the last time I was at Kiddie Land or Little Cesar's which also used to be staples in this Norridge neighborhood- you just knew it was over & given up on. Leaking ceiling, piles of trash, stale popcorn. Now, like other AMC theaters, they have a full bar, the leather reclining seats, and it's totally clean/modern. I notice that some people always mention steep ticket prices, but I do not think that's at the fault of the location. It's just the price of movie tickets these days- at least at chain theaters such as this. Tip: They still have a huge, open-space parking lot & with Miller's Ale House now thriving just a few hundred feet away, there's food/drink nearby with TONS of daily specials/late night happy hour to save you some $. I have noticed that they don't have as much seating compared to other places, so I wouldn't go there for a major premier, but otherwise I am fully considering Norridge to be my so-called home theatre again. read more

This is probably the worst AMC I've been to, and it JUST opened. I won't mention the prices for everything were MORE than any other AMC I've been too, but it was the actual seating in the theater that was horrrrriiibbbllleeee. Since this was an old theater that was renovated, there was No stadium seating and they didn't make any. Yes they had new reclining chairs, which were smaller and didn't recline as much as other AMC theaters around, but the seating was only separated by 1 step each row. My kids could barely see the screen, they were looking at the seats in front of them. For that purpose alone, I will never go back and I'd gladly drive another 20 minutes to a normal AMC with normal size seats, stadium seating, and cheaper concessions. read more

Do NOT see a movie in theatres 1 and 2. Construction rumbling constant during matinees. Not only distracting from the movie - but gave me a headache that lasted for an hour afterward. 40 minutes into the film I brought it to the attention of the staff. After the film I spoke with the manager. "We will bring it tio the attention of the construction crew". WTF?! read more

I used to come here a lot to see movies in the old days, but now this place is more of a backup plan as there are nicer theaters around Chicagoland. The ten screens are divided into two sections that are not physically together, so be sure not to park too far from the section you are going to. read more

I have only been here once, but while sitting for almost 3 hours, I have to say it's worth the few extra bucks to stretch out & get comfy for your movie! Our tickets for a Sunday night 3D movie were about $15 each. This theater is smaller than most AMC theaters, but all of the seats recline. I only wish that the reclining function had a lock button, because my big ol' butt kept accidentally hitting the button. Plenty of arm room, even for the person next to you. I also love that I can reserve my seat, and the seat # prints out on the tickets, so no one can try to claim your spot. The aisles are well spaced, so don't fear if you are short, you will be able to see the screen. There is a full bar inside, but I haven't tried it yet. I will update when I do. We just came from dinner, so I also didn't get to try the popcorn. Again, I will update when I do. read more

I came to this movie theatre as a teenager and spent a ton of time watching movies. It wasn't the best theatre and it wasn't the best seats but today I am really impressed with the update and the seats. I've been to theaters on the regular within 15 Miles of portage park. Definitely my new place, also lower that chicago prices. read more

2 words - Reclining Seats. 'nough said. Yes, it's a smallish theater, but I'm a matinee-goer, so there's never a lot of people here in the mornings anyways. Also, I think the morning rates are roughly $5 bucks per person. Winning! And like I mentioned, the seats are awesome! I'm the kind of person who wiggles around trying to find a comfortable seat for the entire length of the film, but you wont find that issue with that here. Lastly, I don't have anything to really mention about service (nothing spectacular, nor bad). However a few weeks ago we did attempt to see a movie, but there was a problem with their projector, so management offered us complimentary tickets to see 2 future films (VERY cool). read more

Arrived for matinee and no popcorn. Alarm sounded asking us to leave theater. Apparently a false fire alarm. We returned to a dark screen playing the movie for 10 minutes. The picture returned but movie was not rewound to the point that we lost picture, despite reassurances that it would be. It was a children's movie, so you'd think they would have made the effort to make it right ASAP. Free passes but I'd rather have my money back and not return to this theater again! read more
