Definitely could use a little bit of an upgrade.. chairs are a little older and uncomfortable compared to some of the other local options. Theatre feels a bit musty and stale smelling. Don't come out to the movies much anymore and this is a good reminder why. read more

I remember how excited local residents became after learning AMC was building a 12-Screen Complex in Spring Hill near Saturn Parkway and Main Street -- giving families a more convenient option for movies than driving to Franklin or Columbia. This was several years ago. Today was my first visit and was pleasantly surprised -- very clean, well maintained and comfortable. We watched a film in one of the larger theaters with elevated stadium seating and a good sound experience. I'll be going to the one in Franklin from now on like we normally do. I went to see the Best Christmas Pageant Ever in theater 10. Sat down in a broken chair. They are still cloth, not vinyl which is unsanitary. It was 21 degrees outside and 20 inside this theater because they had the air blowing the entire time. We made it through even though we talked about leaving several times throughout. The movie was very good but couldn't enjoy it fully from freezing to death! I had layers of clothes on, even kept my gloves on, and was still freezing from the air blowing on us. We even moved seats three times and no matter where we moved, the air was blowing on us. I haven't been to this location in a while because we normally go to the one in Franklin and wow, it needs an upgrade. I'm a local and it has taken me around 7 (?) years to visit this theater. Nothing against the theater, as I have actually been wanting to visit, but just do not go out to the movies very much. With that being said, I have been to the AMC Classic Spring Hill 12 twice this month! July 4 was the first time I came to this theater to see Top Gun: Maverick and I also went on July 18 to see Where the Crawdads Sing. It might actually be a personal record for me. =) The theater was clean, comfortable, and had friendly employees. The popcorn on July 4 was absolutely delicious. So delicious, my husband almost ruined his dinner (we were at a 4:30 matinee). My only complaint is if a company is going to charge $6.09 for a regular drink and $6.59 for a large soft drink, it should be dang good. I'm talking McDonald's soda machine good. If I'm really dreaming, it should be Sun Drop in the little glass bottle or can good. They have the Freestyle Coke machines at the theater. While it's nice to have options, I'd rather just have a great soft drink. My husband and I shared the large on July 4 and my friend and I each got a regular drink on July 18. We threw most of it out each time. I noticed my friend barely drank hers. I'd rather pay $6 for a 20 oz. bottle vs. the funky taste of the machine. Its not their machine specifically, all Freestyle machines have that bad taste to me. Maybe replace it with regular machines? So pro tip: get the bottled water. You'll like it better, I promise. All around, it was a great experience. Nice picture, sound, and theater. I will definitely return. read more

I go here almost every week, AMC A-list is the best membership program for any movie lovers. I can trust this place with its cleanliness- never saw a dirty seat. Never crowded on week day nights so if you want to enjoy a movie in a quiet auditorium, go here. Staff is always friendly. But only four stars because their popcorn's taste is inconsistent. This movie theater has become better since AMC bought it out. The employees are learning the new procedures and are working hard to provide good customer service. It's a different set up than I am use to. You buy your tickets at the concession stand and then go to a separate counter to get your popcorn and then go fill up your drink at the coke machine. It's not bad...just different. There have been times where the lobby is packed with people (literally standing room only) because they do not let anyone back by the theaters until the movie is seating. The lobby is small and this can be incredibly annoying (I get why they do it, it's just a struggle holding all the concessions and trying to keep your eyes on your kids and the small screen to see if your movie is being seated). *hopeful wish* in AZ a couple AMC theaters had reclining seats and a full bar...I think TN could use a couple of those!!! read more

A movie theater much needed for this area of Nashville. About 3 months old, you can still smell the newness of the seats. I saw a movie in the "Big D" cinema, wow! I prayed for the movie to be over so that we could leave this theater. Ever since AMC took over, it has been plagued with issues. Tonight, the air conditioning wasn't on in the theater we were in. The drink machines didn't have ice and the restrooms were closed. I am not sure why it was even open. I tweeted AMC and they said they were contacting the location to adjust the A/C, but it never came on. Skip this theater and go to a non-AMC theater. Regal is a better choice. This location needs to be shut down. read more

First of all, let me say that I hardly ever leave reviews on yelp, and I detest people who just like to gripe on social media. That being said... My wife, myself, and my 11-year-old son went tonight to the Star Wars premier at 9:45 PM. The theater was understandably quite busy, and with a lot of line confusion we found our seats. No real issues. After sailing into where we decided to sit, I took my 11-year-old son to the bathroom, did our thing, then came back. When I got back to the seat, I noticed one of the ushers, a teenage girl, snapping back-and-forth with one of the adult patrons sitting behind us. Apparently, she tried to give away mine and my sons seat because my wife was "saving it" while we were in the restroom. When one of the patrons brought up the fact that what we did was better than my turning a minor loose in a theater at 10 o'clock at night, she replied with "I don't care if you're mad. It doesn't bother me at all. I can always have you removed." "Because he took his child to the bathroom?" She was asked. "Because you can't save seats." Back and forth. An awkward stupid nightmare. She then stood, snapping back-and-forth with the guy behind us, and then eventually went down and hung out in the corner with a couple other ushers. Two other ushers after that, screamed at the crowd about cell phone use during the movie. Literally. Screamed. Like they were threatening a packed house of paying adult customers. Customers, who don't pay to be screamed at unnecessarily by teenagers. I completely understand piracy issues, but they chose every possible way to avoid sounding welcoming at all, and simply screamed that they'll have them "drug out of the theater." Needless to say, an act of God would have to happen to have me bring my family back. We can always go 20 minutes away to Cool Springs. read more

No clue why but the popcorn ALWAYS kills my stomach here. I dunno if it's the type of butter or what but I usually get unbuttered popcorn and do fine. Decent theater, not the best but it's nice not having to drive 30-40 minutes to see a flick. The staff seems broken up into cliques and don't expect the greatest support from them. I highly doubt I will return to this movie theater anytime soon. When we arrived there was a sign saying the heat was not working, but we could still see a movie if we chose. We went ahead and decided to stay because it didn't feel too bad inside. BIG MISTAKE! The place was disgusting. We got our tickets and concessions, and as we were filling up our cups noticed how sticky the floor was and how much trash was on the counter around the drink station. We waited awhile for the staff to clean the theater, when they finally got done, we walked in to find the theater still full of trash and popcorn all over the floor. Finally, when the movie actually started, they never turned the lights down, so it was very difficult to see when there were darker moments in the movie. I think next time I'll pay a little bit more to go to a cleaner theater. read more

Was staying in Columbia w/ family who were going to see Rory Feek in concert. I decided to venture to Spring Hill to see the new "Child's Play" while they were at the concert. Concessions were a little cheaper in price then what I am used to back home (Central Kentucky)...but I never visit the AMC at home. The screen (#7) was HUGE! Stadium seating that were at a steeper then usual incline (at least that I've ever seen). That's not a complaint...just an observation. I took pics but they don't do it justice. Great movie theater with great prices. Had fresh popcorn and medium soft drink which to my surprise wasn't too expensive.

The whole process of waiting in the concession line to buy your movie tickets even if you don't want concession is absolutely stupid. You are given an empty cup to fill yourself and then get into another line for popcorn. The icing on the whole experience is that the popcorn is cold. Men's room is closed for no apparent reason. Plenty of staff with very few patrons and the entire theater was filthy. Liquids all over the counters and popcorn and trash on the floor. At 6:00 on a Saturday there was no fresh popcorn...we got the crumbs at the bottom of the machine. The seats in the theater are covered in gunk. Will not be going back. read more

The movie theater itself is not bad. But... We went to the matinee on Monday, purchased our tickets, the last showing was still playing so we patiently waited outside the movie up against the wall. (not in front of the doors in case someone wanted to come out and go to the bathroom) just minding our buisness when the ticket stub guy came from their breakroom telling us we can't stand there. We pointed out that we were waiting for the next movie and wasn't in the way. He tells us it was against their policy, then he tells us it was a fire hazard. I pointed out that we were across from a bench. If it was a fire hazzard then why were there benches to sit. He kept on changing his story as to why we couldn't stand there, so my husband told him fine, we would like to speak to the manager. We will move if she tells us we needed to. He said he was going to get the manager. He came back without the manager.. and was walking back to the lobby when he almost bumped into this lady that was standing in the middle of the main aisle. He was having trouble getting around her because she was just standing in the middle.. right in the way. But never said anything to her... so why were we singled out and treated the way he was talking to us is beyond me. After the movie let out, we stood there for someone to clean it. No one came. This one worker came by and asked why we hadn't went in and was wondering if it was still playing. We told her no its over, but no one had cleaned it yet. So she went in the break room and told them. Still no one came so we went in about 15 min before the movie started. I went to the restroom.. which had a double roll dispenser and both were out. I had to ask the lady next to me for paper. My husband said after 3 min of us going in someone came in to "clean" the theater. It was discusting the amount of trash in the theater. All he did was go down two aisle and picked up a popcorn bag. I came back in from the restroom and took this picture AFTER the cleaning guy left. They need to worry more about cleaning the theater and stocking the restrooms rather than wasting time singling out and being rude to customers. read more

This place is perfectly located and my closest theater, but the staff looks like they hate there jobs and this place is disgusting. The seats are so old and the fabrics is so worn, and the arm rests feel wet. And there are exposed wires hanging down from the front of the concession stand. But the picture quality and sound are great, especially for an old theater. I wish AMC would give this place a massive overhaul. read more

Do they even bother to clean? So I took my daughter to a week day showing of Incredibles 2, the theater was disgusting. Trash all over the floors as soon as you walk into the lobby, and the screening room was even worse. I get that it's during the week and they are working with a "skeleton crew" but at least have enough people to keep the lobby somewhat clean. read more

We went on Friday night so grated, it was very busy. But it was 7:30 pm and it was a dump. I bought popcorn and a drink and the cashier gave me empty cup and popcorn bag and walked away. No direction about what to do. I turned around and saw that it's self serve drinks. There were drinks spilt and ice all over the ground where you fix your drink. Straws, garbage, and sticky all on the countertops. The poor guy working the pop corn stand was trying to run around and clean up the place between customers. The bathrooms were a mess. Paper all over the floor. We watched a movie on Big D and the previews were so loud I think I may have hearing damage. I would think on one of the busiest movie weekends there would be more help on hand to take care of these issues. I don't recommend you wasting your money here. read more

Paid $ 3.50 extra to miss all the previews and 15 minutes of the movie!! Management needs to hire a consultant to revamp the lobby, lines, etc. $37 for two tickets and $17 on popcorn and cokes for a shambles theater purchased our tickets through the AMC carmike website and paid an extra $3.50 to stand at one little kiosk in a line to pick up our tickets. Then to get concessions we had to get at the end of the standard line behind people waiting to purchase tickets. was in the lobby for 30 minutes after already purchasing our tickets so I missed all 15 minutes of previews in the first 15 minutes of the movie. the concession experience was a disaster, one drink station had a broken machine and the other was out of coke, had to walk to the other side of lobby and nearly twisted my knee slipping on wet floor because the one machine working over there wasn't draining. The other was Broken. This drink station was out of the size lid I needed so I had to walk to the other side of the lobby back to the other drink station to get a lid read more

Came here for the first time, have to say I was overall impressed. The have the 100 flavor coke machines so you can serve yourself anytime.. I liked that.. and a separate popcorn counter so your not tied up with other folks getting candy and snacks. read more

This is a nice theatre. That is the only nice thing I have to say about it though. They do not have enough employees for how busy they are. Each time I have been I have had to wait in line for around half an hour to get tickets and concessions. To get into an actual theatre you had to wait in another line for a very rude young lady to check to make sure we had tickets. This wasn't a good experience! read more

This is a very cozy theater where regulars can get rewards and friends can go to hang out. They have an excellent menu and there is a very modern feel to the whole establishment. I have not seen any drastic differences since AMC bought it, and definitely no bad things have come since. I have had great experiences and look forward to my next horror movie binge at this theater. read more

We love having this in town. It was awful when it first opened but within six months got its act together and was great...and now isn't. Today, there were 2 and never more than 3 registers open. Six or more trainees stood behind the registers and it was clear today was about training them, not serving the public. We are premier members and that line is supposed to be called first but it was ignored for 20min before I went up and reminded them that we paid extra and showed loyalty to get a couple minor privileges. It got better but 2 groups were taken from the general line for every 1 taken in the premier. Ordering food was easy but it took over 20min to get all of it as they were out of things, sent people to find things, etc. They finally opened the other side's do it yourself drink dispensers (which always slow down everybody) when the lines for the two already open were 6+ deep. No one was there to take tickets or direct us to where our movie was. The theater itself was clean and the movie was crisp and clear both in picture and in sound. The seats were great. And then the restrooms. The women in our party said the toilets were blocked and there was no paper. They also said it was filthy and smelled bad. In the men's room, two urinals and one toilet were blocked and it wasn't very clean. This is so sad. The people of Spring Hill and the towns around here deserve better. We will drive to Cool Springs or even Green Hills before going here again. We spent over $102 for our family's tickets and food. The movie (Coco) was great but the experience left a bad taste in our mouths. read more
