I highly doubt I will return to this movie theater anytime soon. When we arrived there was a sign saying the heat was not working, but we could still see a movie if we chose. We went ahead and decided to stay because it didn't feel too bad inside. BIG MISTAKE! The place was disgusting. We got our tickets and concessions, and as we were filling up our cups noticed how sticky the floor was and how much trash was on the counter around the drink station. We waited awhile for the staff to clean the theater, when they finally got done, we walked in to find the theater still full of trash and popcorn all over the floor. Finally, when the movie actually started, they never turned the lights down, so it was very difficult to see when there were darker moments in the movie. I think next time I'll pay a little bit more to go to a cleaner theater.

Decent option for the area. Doesn't compete though with other venues, like Thoroughbred location

Great movie theater with great prices. Had fresh popcorn and medium soft drink which to my surprise wasn't too expensive.

From the moment I sank into those ultra-comfortable, spacious reclining chairs, I knew this was going to be something special. The seats are ridiculously plush--plenty of room to stretch out, perfect recline, and enough space that even my tall frame didn't feel cramped. It felt more like lounging in my living room than sitting in a theater, but with a massive screen and incredible sound. As for the movie itself, "A Great Awakening" is an absolute masterpiece. It's powerful, thought-provoking, and emotionally gripping from start to finish. The storytelling is masterful, the performances are outstanding, and the cinematography is breathtaking. I was completely immersed the entire time. It left me inspired, moved, and genuinely uplifted--exactly what a great film should do. The theater in Franklin gets everything right: clean facilities, friendly staff, and those heavenly recliners that make the whole experience feel luxurious. I can't recommend this combination enough. If you're anywhere near Franklin, do yourself a favor and see "A Great Awakening" here. You won't just watch a great movie--you'll enjoy it in total comfort.

While this theater isn't perfect, it definitely feels like a step above others in Middle TN. There is plenty of free parking on-site. We purchased our tickets online in advance, and heeded the warning about the movie starting 20 minutes or so after the initial time listed. The staff working concessions was quick and friendly - and they seemed appropriately staffed for a busy night at the movies. Popcorn prices are pretty standard to other theaters, and they do have several other food options if you're interested in more of a meal. Our movie was showing in the Dolby Theater (6), and I feel like this made our experience even better. The seats vibrate and are synced with the action and music throughout the movie, making it a truly immersive event. The recliners are comfortable, if a bit dated. Honestly though, there are still theaters in Nashville that don't have any recliners at all, so an older recliner is still a win in my book. Thankfully, the bathrooms were pretty clean as well.

I was very skeptical about coming here based on the poor reviews and rat situation (both Google and…read moreYelp reviews have mentioned this infestation). I nearly refunded the movie tickets after reading the reviews but at $12/ticket at 7pm, I was willing to take the chance. True, there is no AC in the lobby and it can be very warm while waiting in line. However, there was AC in our movie theater (10) and we were comfortable with the temperature. We ordered two candies and two large icees and the total came out to $25 after taxes. We were also told that the icees get free refills, too! The regular soda fountains are for guests to use and are also refillable at their convenience. These were nice touches when most movie theaters have become unaffordable for a night out. Our two movie tickets totaled $28 after taxes and fees. In total, we spent $53 at Roxy. We booked the loveseat and it was super comfortable and the recliner went back pretty far, nearly at a lay down position. These were probably the most comfortable seats we've ever sat in for a movie. The visuals were good and the sound was clear as day...a bit too loud, especially because we saw Obsession and there was a lot of screaming in the movie. However, I'd prefer too loud over too quiet. We shared the theater with 3 other people so we didn't experience any interruptions. Overall, we were pretty satisfied with this theater and will definitely be back...as long as the rat problem has been fixed.

That said, the theater really needs a deep cleaning and some refurbishing -- the carpets, seats, and restrooms could use attention. The staff is somewhat friendly, but the place would truly benefit from stronger management and more consistent upkeep. It has so much potential to be a fantastic small-town theater again. With the right care and leadership, The Roxy could easily become a five-star favorite for Lebanon moviegoers.

The midnight shows are definitely the thing to do in your 20s (or if you are a night owl) - the crowds are group, the selections are always fun - it is really an energy that cannot be beat. As a nonprofit theatre, it just feels good to go a show at the Belcourt - like you are truly supporting a Nashville institution. They also support local by having local companies provide some of the concession snacks! It is a double treat to be able to eat a HiFi cookie while watching a movie. And somehow the popcorn is just better. I also love that a lot of podcasts and other pop-ups choose the Belcourt for their events. It is always a good time at the Belcourt no matter what you are going to see!

The carpets didn't have stains, no trash on the floor (or not much anyway). Ceiling tiles are stylized and new looking. Lighting on the walls was on the fancy side. Good painted designs on the walls. For the smaller size, there are at least 6 theaters on the lower floor and more on the second. The new seats are nice and comfortable. The bathrooms were also well kept. The theater itself was very clean and well lit. The projector (which is at least 4K resolution) was bright, perfectly focused, and centered on the screen. The sound was not too loud and climate was not too cold, just right in my opinion. Prices are also reasonable and as with most places, going to the mid-afternoon matinee with save you a few dollars.
