I stop by and order a fish sandwich before reading the reviews. Of course the reviews are horrible and the health score is a 82 as of 1 month ago. I literally inspected my sandwich like my life depended on it. It was actually hot and fresh. The service was fast. I didn't go inside just did the drive thru. It was good. But I wouldn't go back just. I hate I didnt look up score before ordering. I am finicky like that. Anything under a 90 I try to avoid eating. read more

I always see this place wi t h several customers parked outside so I gave them a try. They have some of the smallest chicken wings I have ever had. The taste was good but they fried them on the hard side and I hate hard, or what I called burned food. Unless it's a hit dog or sesame on the grill. Those I like a little charred. But we are talking about Wings here. So overall I did not like them. The 3 piece Whiting fish dinner was another NO. The skin owner the bottom of the fish filets was not cooked well enough. So perhaps they should fry the fish harder Nd the wings not so hard. But out of the entire meal the fishy smelling fish had hmthe best rast. The rice was fluffy and bland, the onion rigs would be delicious if they dropped them when you ordered as the last thing in your order, and let that be the last thing that hit the plate. Would I go back. Nah there's a Ysin in Ellenwood and a JJ Fish like 4 minutes away. We walked into the restaurant Friday night with my baby squirrel in my daughter's purse. The squirrels name is Lisa. We didn't think much of it since she goes everywhere with us, but the smell of chicken wings woke Lisa up and made her go berserk. She ran across 14 tables before the cook threw a pot over her and captured her. When the police showed up, we briefly told them that it was us, but we bribed them by buying them tilapia and Lemon pepper wings. They let us go. I'll never forget that day. The End. read more

I tried this place because it had decent reviews and someone spoke about the catfish and that it was really good. So I gave it a try and ordered the catfish snack, the popcorn shrimp, and the chicken wing dinner. I was not happy because I specifically ordered catfish but yet I received swai . There is a big difference between catfish and swai and these restaurants need to stop thinking that people do not know the difference. Today, my wife and I ventured to a new restaurant Ameen fish in Stockbridge with high hopes, only to be met with disappointment. Our anticipation for a delicious serving of catfish was quickly shattered when we discovered we had been served Swai instead. As someone who has grown up savoring the distinct flavors of catfish and even cooks it religiously every Friday, the attempt to deceive me with a substitute did not go unnoticed. The consistency of Swai is vastly different from catfish.Such deceptive practices warrant serious consequences, and establishments engaging in such shenanigans should face the rightful action of being shut down. On Saturday December 18, I decided to patronize Ameen Fish & Wing business in Stockbridge. I ordered a 3 pc Flounder meal which comes with 2 sides & hush puppies. I also ordered a 5pc wing snack. I ordered my meal & waited patiently for it. When it was ready, the gentleman quickly bagged it & handed it over to me before I can see it. Now, I admit that I should have looked at my meals before I left but I didn't..shame on me. When I got home, I open my meals and I realized that they gave me the wrong fish. Apparently, I received tilapia instead of flounder. I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager & stated that I got the wrong meal by mistake but he assured me that it wasn't the wrong meal. He states that tilapia looks like flounder. Really, since when? I am a personal chef and you can't convince me in believing that tilapia looks like flounder...I'm a well educated culinary art professional so you can't trick me. He asked me to returned but to only see the difference between raw tilapia v/s raw flounder...I'm not interested. He also stated that he is 95% sure that I received flounder. As a business owner, it would be unfair for me to tell you not to patronize this restaurant, even if they tried to past one fish type off as another. That's just something I don't like to do. But I kindly informed him that I won't be back to purchase anything else. I don't like trickery. I placed a large online order late Saturday night to be picked up one hour after the opening time. Not only was the food ready on time, I received a courtesy call making sure I was on my way so the food would be hot upon pick up. When I arrived there were other patrons in front of me but, I received all of my order plus condiments expeditiously and the staff was very professional! The food was hot and absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh and hot, I ordered the Daily special which consisted of 3 whole wings, swai filet, fries, and drinks. We flew in late Sunday night and was searching for something to eat. The Sunday before Labor Day offered limited options, Ameen was open to 11 pm so Ameen it was. I would recommend more seasoning on the fish and wings but it was fresh and hot. read more

8/21/2021 - I saw this eatery and figured I'd give it a try. I expected larger portion for the price. The truth is... Ameen's food menus is way overpriced and not commensurate to the portion you receive! 3 whole small wings $6.49 ($2.00+ a small wing?) Not worth it! Supreme Fish is so much better! 2 small whiting fish for ($7.00?)... not a whole piece of fish but a slide of a slice of fish - split down the middle (counted as one piece). These were the snacks from the menu without any sides? For &14.42 w/tax. Everything fit on a saucer dish! Horrible tasting and a ripoff for a snack. First and last time! Went there to overt Saturday cooking. Still have to thaw out some wings and cook anyway. I do better wings in my air fryer... Buyer BEWARE! Not even a one star! read more

My husband and I stopped by for lunch today and we were very impressed. I ordered the honey hot wings and fries, my husband had the fried flounder and shrimp with fried okra. I was NOT pleased with what I had ordered from this restaurant. I believe the order came from the Stockbridge location. I ordered the Swai dinner with two sides and additional okra. To start, the fish was undercooked for my taste. It looked nothing like the advertised pictures. Secondly, I have to REALLY go there about the red beans & rice. That was the most disgusting representation of this dish! Who uses yellow rice? It was beyond bland, soupy, and had no type of flavor. I thought is was a bad batch of bean soup. The coleslaw lacked any type of flavor, and after one bite, I was more concerned about its freshness. The highlight of the meal was the hush puppies and the side of okra, which actually were okay. I did Door dash and now out of $23.00. I will NEVER order from this establishment again. If I sound a bit harsh, I am! Totally disappointed. read more

There needs to be a zero stars option. The customer service here sucks. I placed a delivery order for a Swai and Jumbo Shrimp dinner and only received the fish. I called Ameen and was told they couldn't give me any money back because I received two pieces of fish and a scoop of potato salad. I paid 19.68 for two pieces of fish and some nasty potato salad that's great. Never again! My next step is to dispute the charges. You will not get over on me. read more

Went by the Stockbridge location and ordered the wing's special and a large red beans & rice. After arriving home to eat to find out that the large red beans & rice basically had a container full of rice & may about a teaspoon &half on top of the rice. The next day contacted the restaurant and informed them of the what I received. The person that answered the phone stated that's how it comes. Help me to make it make sense. He then stated to bring it back and they will give me another one and I live almost in Griffin. i explained to him that I'm always ordering food from them but I was not going to drive back over there to bring a container of rice & a little red beans. He stated that I needed to just stir it up when all it was mostly rice. He commented & stated that what do I want him to do sarcastically. Instead of saying the next time I visit to let them know and it will be replace but he did not. I will not return the and spread the word. Don't do business with this restaurant because they are very rude & not accommodating with their customers, when they make a mistake. At that point I hung up the phone.
