Unfortunately this review is not for the food it's for the rude service. I stopped in this place today for lunch at 11:45 and I was told they shouldn't have let me in the door and that they were closed. But the hours posted says they open at 11. Her rude response was "I don't have anyone to cook the food and they should have never let you in " she never apologized. I understand things happen. Employees call out sick. Life happens but I would expect some kind of courtesy. At the least an apology and explain that they would open later in the day. She practically kicked me out the joint. It doesn't matter cause I will NOT be back. This place will not be open long with that kind of service. Some people aren't meant to be in customer service roles. read more

I just want to say the that the customer service is impeccable within this business. I was only delivering an order through doordash but I witnessed and experienced too tier interaction. Greeted as soon as I got in the door with a smile , informed about my order taking a slight but longer but I was able to observe how they interacted with all customers. A nice convo and a smile as well as letting them know about their order. The young woman at the counter made sure to ask a customer if they needed any additional sauces and offered them extra. So my coworker is always talking about Seafood Cafe & how great it is blah blah. Well I finally decided to try it & man let me tell you, IM GLAD I DID! Its a small takeout spot right off the main highway; no dine- in, but delivery available. After perusing the menu I settled on fried shrimp & grits with a garlic egg on the side. The shrimp were the standout item in the whole meal for sure, but everything was well seasoned & a good value. Plump, juicy and full of flavor, I will order these next time I eat here. Rice was prepared well, broccoli was well seasoned with a hint a sweet and the salmon was cooked with a hickory glaze of choice. I also got a cluster of crabs with potato's which had a very unique fresh seasoning to It. Loved it ! My second time eating here I got the salmon garlic crusted by accident . It was delicious, I really enjoy how tender and fresh the salmon is. The rice wasn't too good this time and the broccoli was steamed very well as per usual. So glad I found this spot which has officially become the seafood spot that I'll be bringing family and friends when they come to town. When I walked in, one of the gentleman who worked there, was sitting at a table and asked me what I wanted. Since it was my first time, I had to ponder. He asked me to give him and idea of what I was thinking about getting and he pointed out the platter that met all my needs. He was very helpful. I ordered the Snow Crab Cluster, fried shrimp, fried catfish, a double side of the fried broccoli. I can't believe I've never had fried broccoli before. Everything was seasoned to perfection tasted absolutely delicious. I also had a piece of chocolate cake which is making my mouth water as I think about it. I, literally, demolished that slice. I paid $29 for everything which if you ask me, is a great price for the great taste and for the amount of food. A friend of mine told me a while back that most places that fry shrimp don't clean the feces from the shrimp beforehand. Knowing this turned me off from wanting fried shrimp. That may not be a concern to many, but that would be my only gripe...some of the shrimp had the feces inside, so I spent time removing it before I ate it. Unfortunately, the filet fish had bones. So I couldn't enjoy it the way I liked. But it was well-seasoned. The fried seafood platter was also well-seasoned. But upon reheating it-it was kind of salty. The salmon dinner was delicious and well-seasoned. Please note-the vegetables are seasoned with garlic. I went to Seafood cafe for lunch today based on Yelp reviews. I called to place my order a few times but no one picked up until about 12:30. Maybe they open later than stated due to COVID. However , I did place an order and the lady on the phone was very friendly and thorough with my order. I chose 3 lunch menu items , which are very good prices. The lady told me she would call me back in 30 minutes to pick up my order. Due to the pandemic there are no walk in orders which I appreciate, safety first. I ordered the crab leg lunch special that comes with one side for $10. I chose the yellow rice.It also comes with a can drink. I also got the 2 pc whiting lunch with fried okra which was delicious! I also ordered ( I'm greedy) the shrimp pasta lunch with the garlic egg for the side and garlic bread. I didn't like the garlic bread it had a funny taste so I tossed it. Everything else was pretty tasty. The food all comes with a lot of garlic, but I like garlic. They had several cake slices on display which looked heavenly! I didn't purchase a slice as I already ordered a lot of food. The flavors included a key lime which I must come back and try. The parking is ample, and the store is clean. I would eat here again. I've been dying for good fish and shrimp!! I happened to be on this side of town for a hair appointment and found this gem thanks to Yelp!! Went to the restaurant, grabbed a menu out front( they're practicing social distancing) and gladly called my order in. It was done right when they said it would be.
