Mad Mod Shop offers a wide diversity of beautiful things and unique clothing made on-site by Andrea, master seamstress, and all-around positive vibes woman. I found a beautifully crafted hair tie and asked if there were more, so my daughter and I would have matching ties. She looked through the basket and said that she would make one on the spot! We had a bit more shopping to do, so we returned to discover a pair of beautifully matched hair ties in a beautiful, sturdy fabric that will last for years. We also couldn't pass up some of the delectable chocolates, staring at us from behind a glass case, wanting to be eaten, lol! 3-hour free street parking.

I have never felt more degraded, embarrassed, disrespected or singled-out in any of my shopping experiences (which are MANY). I came here excited to spend money on clothes and gifts for friends. I was harassed throughout the entire experience and more or less assaulted when a young and clearly undertrained employee literally grabbed a pair of earrings out of my hand after I told her I was buying them and wanted to keep them along with the handful of other items I was purchasing. I expressed to the un-trained employee how uncomfortable, unpleasant, and UNPROFESSIONAL that kind of behavior is. She replied by blaming it on the amount of thefts they have and I understood that completely, but there where a handful of other Caucasian people who were barely Acknowledged. Nothing can excuse this business from the situation, I was 100% singled out. I made it back to my car and broke down. I decided that no matter how much I liked my purchases ($300+ merchandise), my heavy heart and mind could not support a business who operates in such unprofessional, outdated and prejudice manner. Just then, Lisa came out from inside the store and said "thank you for not trying the shoes outside. come on inside and we have other sizes too" Throughout our interaction, Lisa does seem a bit harsh "why don't you only try on shoes that actually fit you"... I was thinking to myself ... mmmm... was she being rude or ...? Then she grabbed all the shoes that I tried on -- that I don't want -- and she indicated that she'll spray them all down because she's OCD like that. Okay, i'm starting to get her... Towards the end of our interactions and after purchasing 3 pairs of shoes, I found that she just has dry humor. She is not rude. But I can definitely see how it comes across as rude though.
