He and his crew did sheetrock, bamboo floors, baseboards, painting/texturing, tile, bathtub replacement, appliance retrieval and installation, some fencing and a garage floor. They are prompt, professional and are not scattered out over several projects at once. His employees have been with him for 5-20 years, wear a company uniform, and are dedicated and respectful. Unlike other contractors, Saul is present at the job site performing some of the work. He presented me with no surprises with the billing. He was pleasant to work with, takes pride in a job well done, and has none of the arrogance I've encountered with other contractors. I gave one of my neighbors (an engineer) a tour and he was amazed how quickly and expertly the work was done. He exclaimed, "My contractor took 6 months and the craftsmanship does not compare with Mr. Cabrera's". I was referred to Robert King to repair the drywall. Feb. 22, 2020, he went, gave me a great estimate, said the job would be done in 3-4 days, asked that I send him $300 as a deposit so he could get the materials (insulation, sheetrock, tape, and joint compound) and get started right away. He fixed 2 small patches the same day and part of a wall in the living room. Two days later (Feb 24, 2020) he was supposed to go back, but didn't, he said the sheetrock got wet with the rain and would be there the next day. On the 3rd day (Feb 25, 2020) when he said he would go, he never showed up or called to say he wasn't going. The same thing happened the next day (Feb 26, 2020), however, that evening he sent a text saying he would be at the house from 7-10 am on Sat., Feb 27, 2020, and wanted to make sure someone was available to let him in. Arrangements were made and once again he failed to show up. I called and texted him several times that day and got no response. I reached out to the person that referred him to me and was told that his phone had ended up in a pool and he was working on getting a new phone and would call me later. Five hours later I still had not heard from him. I sent him an email hoping tp have some communication from him and still nothing. I didn't reach out to him on Sun., Feb 28, 2020 so as to respect his time with family and reached out again on Mon, March 1, 2020...I got no response! I am now in the process of having to find someone new and as new estimates are being given, I find out he used the OLD insulation back in the living room wall, after we had discussed it would be thrown away to avoid possible mold build up! COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNRELIABLE!!!
