Courtney did my acrylic nail fill and new gel polish. I really love the outcome. She was pleasant to interact with (even though another customer was going on and on with political views about "illegal aliens" that kind of ruined my vibe of self-care). Courtney did a lovely job. The price was great --- she removed old gel polish, re-attached one acrylic that was separating, filled and blended with new acrylic, careful filing and thinning prep, applied subcoat plus 3 coats of gel polish plus one overcoat (all with light in between coats) -- I was impressed. Awful experience! The waxing room was incredibly dirty. The sheet on the table had stains. I should have known to leave. But I had the facial waxing done and regret it deeply. The burn on my chin will leave a scar. They didn't really seem to care when I went back the next day to see what I could do to. read more

After calling and making an appointment I was left to wait; my manicurist was in the back, cleaning the pedicure stations The shop is run by a husband and wife -- . After a half hour i asked him when I would be taken -- he called out to her to to help me. I had requested get nails -- which go under curing lamps three times. Which I have had for years. She insisted that I have "powder and gel nails" which only are cured once. Every place i have been the lights are built into the work stations. Here you have to move to a special table. I realized that what I wanted wa not as convenient. They are not what I want --my manicures last over a month -- they are clear. I have been going to another salon for some time -- it is 30 minutes away and I was pressed or time time today. The people seemed skilled --- please give the client what they want. read more

Terrible, I paint my nails better myself! $50 wasted! Cut my finger, and gel nail polish all over my cuticles, one hour later it is already peeling up! Absolutely the worst nail salon I have ever been to. The thing they scrub the bottom of your feet with was visibly dirty! Yes I was a walk in but only for an eye brow wax... they took other walk ins that came in after me before me.... do not recommend LY Nails off argyle forest in Jacksonville!!! I chose Ly's because they are walking distance from the Residence Inn where I was staying.... SO pleasantly surprised with how sweet and accommodating Kim and her husband were... I'm pretty picky and OCD about my nails, but my fill and pedi was right on point :) The salon is large and clean. They even have a cool little pug named cheeto. I will totally go back to Ly's next time I'm on the island. read more

Horrible service! My 2 friends and I Waited with feet soaking for FORTY minutes and no service. Walked out extremely dissatisfied and the owner didn't even acknowledge us as we left. This place is the worst. If it were not for my daughter I would not have stayed. She was just too excited to get her nails done. The services were cheaply performed, the place was dirty and the polish chipped within 24 hours: I paid for a full manicure and pedicure for my daughter but because she was a child and didnt know any better they just rushed her through and didn't give her the full service. Excellent nail salon with great service by a husband and wife team. A friend and I were walk ins and both had standard pedicures done. There were a couple of regulars that also walked in during the time we were there. Pedicures was reasonably priced at $25. I had a couple of toes done with nail art for the Super Bowl (Go Pats!) Ly also had the cutest pug dog that loves to be rubbed. The salon is in a strip mall that is sad and tired looking, but don't let that distract you.
