My experience at Ocean Nails was deeply disappointing and frankly unsafe. The cleanliness standards were far below what any customer should ever encounter. The floors, stations, and tools appeared visibly neglected, and there was no meaningful effort to sanitize between clients because of "time". Within days of my visit, I developed a painful staph infection, which required medical treatment. I can't state this with absolute certainty, but the timing and symptoms strongly point back to unsanitary conditions at this salon. That alone should be enough for anyone to reconsider stepping through the door. The service quality was equally poor. The technician rushed through the appointment, ignored basic requests, and offered no attention to detail. The manicure and pedicure were sloppy, uneven, and far below professional standards. When I raised concerns, the response was dismissive, almost irritated that I expected better. What makes this even more infuriating is the pricing. Ocean Nails charges premium rates, but delivers bargain-basement quality. For these incredibly high prices, customers deserve sterilized tools, safe facilities, and skilled, respectful service. Ocean Nails delivered none of the above. I will not return, and other customers should prioritize their health, time, and money elsewhere. read more

I came for a pedicure opted to do the seasonal pedicure instead of the basic was really looking forward to a nice massage. never did she rub my feet or legs also was to get the sugar scrub. Exfoliation never received it when I finally mentioned it. They showed me a bottle and said this is the sugar scrub, which by the way was oil with zero exfoliating material. nevertheless, I paid $40 for a pedicure and only got my toes painted. Basically no one apologized. No one said a thing and everyone around me was getting massage everything! you can't tell me you go up to the $100 pedicure to get the basic! avoid this place at all cost! read more

The pros: Nice technician Nice relaxing space The cons: NAIL POLISH CAME OFF WITHIN 72 Hours. I don't mean slightly chipped. I mean 25-50% of the polish on each nail vanished. While I was getting my nails done, I noticed the tech poured a clear liquid into the polish bottle and shook it vigorously before applying. I now think this business thins its OPI polish and consequently customers are not getting a full coating of OPI polish but instead are getting a manicure of polish that has been so diluted it cannot possibly hold up. Maybe regular customers get better quality polish, but I was in for the weekend and perhaps they treat visitors differently. I am willing to bet that all of the displayed polish has been diluted. I don't like businesses that trick/cheat customers so I suggest either take your own polish or find a place that doesn't dilute its polish. Sorry for the length, but wanted to be clear. read more

New to the area and came here based on the good reviews. So glad I did! I received a friendly welcome when I arrive and they checked me in for my appointment. (They do take walk-ins but I'd def schedule to make sure to get in and not wait; they do get busy). Fendi was my tech. She is so sweet and helped me decide on the best nail shape. I tried the new hybrid gel- I LOVE it. Since I got a full set, she spent a little extra time making sure my nails were shaped perfectly. This is the best my nails have looked! The staff there are all fun and friendly. The energy in the shop is wonderful. They joke together, laugh and have a good time. I will def be coming back to see Fendi. Oh! I stopped by today on Saturday night an hour before closing for a regular pedicure which was $28. The female nail tech did a good job. I didn't feel rushed. Great OPI regular polish selection that is organized neatly by colors. They have the plexiglass separating you and the nail tech for both pedicures and manicures. You get a free drink: glass of wine, bottled water or can of soda. Overall I am pleased with this salon and this will likely be my go to place. read more

It was busy and filled with local and repeat customers (always a good sign) It's been a WHILE since I had some TLC for my toesies during this pandemic so I had some trepidation of their state, but in short order I was cleaned buffed massaged and painted. My husband and I went in for a manicure and pedicure at this location. Our hotel had given them a recommendation. An appointment was easy to obtain for that same day. We were greeted promptly and handed a card with options. We were show to our chairs for our pedicures. Our technicians said very little to either of us but spoke constantly to each other. We were never asked if we wanted a buff or clear coat on our toenails. I then received a manicure from the technician that did my pedicure. She never spoke to me but continued to speak with other technicians. Again, I was never asked if I wanted a buff or clear coat on my nails. The manicure was average, nothing special. I would recommend folks try to find another vendor for this service. Enjoy Fernandina and Amelia Island, but find another nail salon. read more

The ambiance is great. I get that. When I moved to the island years ago this was my place. The fill ins and pedi always took WAY TOO LONG but I kept going for the environment. Now, for the past 7 months I can't get in. They always say they are too full yet there are people who appear to be techs not working. The guy working the front tells me to have a seat then after waiting 10 minutes tells me (only after I ask) that it will be another 15-20 minutes. Each time I have been these past months I am told "an appointment is better" (but rudely so) and turned away. Rude. Popped in to get one acrylic nail fixed that was broken. Guy said there was only one person on staff who could do acrylic (why????) and it would be over an hour wait. There was no one else waiting. He asked me to come back the next day. I told him I was in town today only and needed the nail fixed before I went back to work the next day. I have been to several different nail salons in the Fernandina / Yulee area trying to find a salon that can deliver a great pedicure all the way around. Ocean Club Nails did it. 10/10 recommend going here for a pedicure. Staff was friendly, they have a good range of colors to choose from, and the nail polish itself came out amazing (they also have a dog in there that runs around and is super cute). Recently called in hopes to get an appointment for that day. After the nail tech answered the phone i asked very politely if i could just get a nail repair on one of my nails since it had popped off a couple days after getting it done. The young man who answered the phone immediately denied, very rudely telling me no and before i could respond , hung the phone up. Prior to this, the last appointment i had there took me over 3 hours for just a white acrylic set that was not even at all. My 2 daughters and I went in for pedicures. I was asked at least 5 times if we wanted manicures as well. Every time my reply was I just had a manicure last week. We all 3 asked for the same design which was a simple white flower on the big toe nails only. My nail tech laughed and said no. One daughters nail tech gave her a white flower which she did like. My other daughter's nail tech gave her no design at all. He did not charge us for one though either. I did not see any sanitizing of equipment at all. I was given polka dots on my big toes which could have been cute but she smeared the dots with the clear polish on one foot and left finger nail polish on the top of my foot, nowhere near my toes. We were so excited after reading some of the reviews but walked away really disappointed. My mom and I booked in for a pedicure each and arrived early for our appointments to give us time to look at colors and have a relaxing experience, but it was the total opposite from start to finish. It was the week of Thanksgiving so I am always willing to give grace, but we were rushed through the door, rushed through selecting a color, and our requests were not listened to. My mom was asked if she wanted her toenails cut to which she said no, she would just like them filed slightly; not even two minutes later the guy clipped them all short. I was torn between several colors and wanted the person doing my pedicure to test it out on a nail and she was not understanding that I wanted to see if the color would look good on my skin tone and kept showing me it painted on her nails. After some back and forth, I basically said screw it, and picked one to prevent the awkwardness continuing. I left feeling flustered, rushed, and like it was a total inconvenience we had been there, despite booking an appointment a few days before and even arriving early. Neither of our pedicures ended up very good and it was fairly pricey for an experience that was less than good. I'm from out of town anyway, but I won't be back and hope that outside of the craziness of the holidays, folks have more relaxing, enjoyable experiences. read more

This has become my regular nail salon... I have never had a regular place before. I'm the client who attracts the nail people who don't do a great job or who aren't consistent. Not anymore! I love the atmosphere. It's decorated really great and feels very classy. I have been coming here for about 6 months regularly. I get dip manicure and gel pedicure. I either get the basic pedicure or the one above it. Everything is very clean, everyone is very nice. I bring my baby boy here with me and the ladies have even tried entertaining him by shaking the nail samples in front of him. I really like the work done by Bao and Tan. read more
