I came in for acrylic removal and dip powder on my natural nails. I communicated that clearly at check-in. After I was seated, I asked for color books and was brought dip powder books. I chose a pink sparkly dip color from those books. Later, when it was time for color, I was told that shade was not available, so I picked another color, still under the assumption we were doing dip. Near the end of the service, I realized he was doing a gel acrylic process instead of dip powder. I had never had dip before, so I did not immediately recognize the steps, but once I did, I spoke up. He then claimed he "didn't know," which does not make sense given that I stated the service at check-in and selected from dip powder books. At that point, instead of acknowledging the mistake, multiple staff members insisted it was my fault and still attempted to charge me. I was also told I could leave with my nails partially done and not have to pay, but this came only after the situation had escalated and become circular. Looking back, the color situation raises concerns. I selected a dip powder color from a dip book, yet was told it was not available. Given that the service being performed had shifted to gel without being confirmed, it suggests the color may have been treated as unavailable because it did not fit the service they had already started, rather than because it did not exist. The interaction then became repetitive and unproductive. I was told over and over that it was my fault because I came in with acrylic on my nails, even though I had clearly requested removal and a different service. The technician also kept repeating that the service "would have been $60," which had nothing to do with the issue. I was initially willing to tip because I understood time had been spent, but it became clear that responsibility was being redirected instead of addressed. The only reason this situation fully resolved without escalation is because another customer stepped in and offered to pay. The salon itself did not correct the mistake or take responsibility. Dip powder and gel acrylic are completely different services. At no point was a change in service confirmed with me, despite choosing from dip powder books and requesting dip from the beginning. This is not a simple misunderstanding. It follows a pattern: perform a different service, avoid confirming the change, and when questioned, deny awareness, repeat irrelevant points, and shift responsibility onto the customer to justify payment. Be very clear about what you want and watch the process closely from the start if you come here. Even though I ultimately didn't have to pay, I'm still so pissed because they look awful and I will now have to go through this whole process again in the next couple of days but this time, It will be awful getting them roved because they are fresh. This is a nice little nail shop in a strip mall. I like that it's hidden so it's not just packed with any and every passerby. The place is clean, it has nice chairs, and plenty of stations. Lots of color options. Pricing was not too bad. No upscale wine or soda offerings, only water. My mother,my daughter, and me went to get acrylics soaked off, dip put on the nails, my daughter got gel, and we all got pedicures. Experience was just meh. My mother's guy "Andy" was really good. He took a lot of time on my mom's feet and did her nails to perfection. Everything looked really good. My daughter's gel nails were polished really quickly and they had bumps in them when they were done. My nail stylist didn't put a top coat on my feet nor did she fully remove my acrylic before putting on the dip. Both me and my daughter's nail technicians were in a big rush to get other clients once the rush started coming in which meant we didn't get the best massages or service after the first 20 or so minutes. I do plan on returning and just getting Andy next time because I really like the shop. I'll update when I return. My nails look ok. Service was ok. But honestly I've had trouble finding a nail shop that gives really good service. Nice massages, takes their time on your nails, you know like they use to do back in the day. The prices are high and I want good service. I'm going to try this place out again with a specific technician.. I'm hoping I can make it my place... we'll see... read more

We scheduled an appointment on our anniversary at 2pm. We were 8 mins late which was totally on us, but instead of asking us to come back in a bit, they acted like they could still help us. (Based on how busy it was, not sure being on time would've mattered). We sat there for 25 mins in lukewarm water, before anyone even asked us if we wanted something to drink. Overall, we waited 55mins before walking out. (After a worker freed up & they told us she had to help someone that just got there, because they requested that technician, specifically.) l We were trying to be patient, but that was a super disappointing waste of our time, especially on our anniversary. All they had to do was be honest about timeframes, & we would've been glad to come back in a bit. read more

If I could chose no stars I would. This was the worst customer service I ever experienced getting my nails done. I had a 5:30pm appointment and they did not take me until 6:40pm. If it wasn't for my friend already getting her nails done, I would've left. I have only been here twice and this was the second time this happened. I also wanted to change the shape of my nails, from square to almond. Instead of doing it without an up charge because of the major inconvenience of me having to wait that long, they wanted to charge me $5 extra. No where I have ever gone to has charged me extra for that. I wish I got the girls name that I had because not only did all of that happen, she also completely messed up my nails. They look awful for my anniversary weekend. Cut too short and crooked. With that being said, that will be my last time trying this place. read more

I'm a local and I've been to many nails salons around yulee and Fernandina. Paris Nails is clean and They have nice staff. However, you shouldn't have to wait an hour "with" an appt. They could really do something about over booking their clients and/or not taking appts and just do walk-ins Only. I don't know what they need to do, but the quality of my nails everytime I go is Not great, especially paying what I've paid to get mani's and pedi's there. Not to mention the staff always seems to be in a hurry to get customers in and out. its like quantity over quality there. I Like the place, but that needs to change. read more

The place was great, and I loved both my pedi & mani. The reason for the 3 star review is because cash tips are required. I couldn't leave a tip with my debit card and due to the fact that I had no cash, had to use the ATM beside the check in counter, which charges a fee. Love this place!! It's super clean( it's new) They seem to have a loyalty program. Had my nails and toes done today by Jackie and she did a great job. She's very friendly but not pushy at all. Upon paying my bill I was given a $5 gift card for my next visit. This was the third time Jackie has done my nails and her work is very consistent. Maybe the only down side is you can't add a tip on when paying with a card. I almost never carry cash so this is kind of a pain However, there is an ATM machine at the front desk for those who don't carry cash like myself. read more

I've been here three times. Each time I made an appointment well in advance. Each time I called to confirm and they had nothing, so I scheduled again. Each time I got there and they had no clue about any appointment. First time I got a really good pedicure, then they transferred me to someone else to start soaking off my gels, then had me move to someone else to get my gel French tip because they said he was the best. Got a good French tip. Next time made an appointment with the same guy. He didn't know I had an appointment but he was nice enough, but the polish started chipping off after a day or two, which should last a good two weeks. Walked in today with an appointment made two weeks in advance and confirmed several days in advance. They told me the person I scheduled with was backed up and someone else would do my pedicure. I told them I like to know who I'm dealing with which is why I always make an appointment in advance. He told me everyone here does a good job, so it doesn't matter who does the services. I told him I'm not interested in taking whomever is available every time I come in and that if he didn't want to take care of me I would go somewhere else. He told me that was not necessary and proceeded with my pedicure and gels. Horrible, surely attitude the entire time and filed my nails like they were horses hooves. Uneven with sharp corners everywhere and polish all over my fingers and toes. I will not be back. I'll miss the pedicures, but not the attitude or not having appointments recognized. read more
