NOW LIVE OAK WASTE Canceled service today for my 85 yr old disabled Mom-after being told will no longer accomodate the disabled or elderly. For the last 2 mths they have missed pickup every week & had to call. At one point this went on for 3 weeks with NO PICKUP at all. When I called this morning for yet another missed pickup-I was told their drivers will no longer accomodate the disabled pickup at the end of her driveway, but that my 85 yr old mother would have to drag her can up a football field length to the top of the road for pickup. This review is for Live Oak or Ameritex or whatever they call themselves nowadays. I call the horrible. I cancelled due to poor service and increasing fees. That was in feb. They keep sending bills with late fees. I have told them I will not pay them services I did not receive. I guess they don't believe me. Started service with them in February of 2022. They didn't get a can out for over a month. When they finally did, they decided to never come and pick up the trash unless they felt like it. They claimed to be understaffed. I exchanged emails with Heather Dryman on multiple occasions about it and finally they stopped responding leaving me with a "we will get to it when we get to it" and an inbox full of automated emails about "delayed garbage pickup" . Never once did I miss a payment. Never once were we late on our bill. A few days ago (November 10 2022) They picked up the trash.. they also decided to leave the can in the middle of the road. I called and got no answer... not shocking because half the time, they can't be bothered to answer their phones. So I went to their facebook page and left a comment about what they had done. They limit their comments so you can only comment on certain posts and the one I commented on just so happened to be a post about 9/11. Someone private messaged me (claiming they weren't even an employee of Live Oak waste/Ameritex) and said they couldn't believe I would make such a post on veterans day. They went on to call me a troll and harass me for about a half an hour. Then cancelled my account and then blocked me. I called and had to wait for 30-45 minutes to get a person on the phone. I told her what happened and she transferred me to apparently the person I was speaking with online. She yelled at me. Said I called her a troll online (which it was the other way around and I have the screenshots to prove that). She proceeded to call me names, talk over me and then hung up on me. So I went BACK on to Facebook and shared all of those screen shots on their facebook page- They deleted the post I put them on and then blocked commenting all together. However, if you go to their page you will see that they always respond in private and that I am not the only one who has issues with this lousy company. I also shared the screen shots in all of the East Texas Facebook pages where so many other people shared stories just as bad (if not worse) than what I experienced. One woman said they continue to bill her dead father even though he called before passing to cancel their services. She called in and told them he had passed away and they said it's not their problem, he will still have to contact them to make sure he wants to cancel services. This scam company is a joke full of rude people who honestly should not be able to do what they do. Save your time and money and get literally any other garbage service... because these people are just a horrible joke. I mean... look at ALL of the other reviews. 1 stars across the board. I would rate lower if I could. They have 1 week to get my payment refunded before I pursue legal action against them. read more

Been a customer for 7 years but cancelled service today. My trash hasn't been picked up in 3 weeks. Calls to customer service take upwards of 30 minutes to get to a rep. Then they are not able to give any indication of when they can get to the 'missed pickup'. But that isn't suppressing considering they can't get to the regular scheduled pickups. I think they got bought out by Live Oak Waste recently. It's a shame yelp wont allow 0 star reviews. One star is being very generous. read more

I have been requesting for a month now for Live oak to come and pick up the previous owners bin! They keep blowing me off saying they will be there by the end of the week. 25 days without a pickup from live oak. They've missed the last 3 pick ups, I've called over 15 times in 2 week, emailed multiple districts with no response back, Facebook messenger seemed like it was going to be the best solution turns out it didn't change a thing. All of the excuses of new drivers or new routes doesn't makes sense after one week missed let alone 3 weeks missed! Every time you call you're on hold for a min. 30-45 minutes before someone comes on and puts you back on hold. My wife and I have asked anyone we've talked to that a manager or supervisor needs to call us back and they haven't. We have had the same trash service for over 2 years it used to be on-site and they were awesome and then they got bought out by live oak. Started out great with minimal issues, and now despite all of our efforts no trash was picked up!! We thought we were the outliers in this situation but after reading all of these reviews turns out it's just a horribly ran company! They took over Piney Woods Sanitation this year and I had no problems until we got to July. I never missed any payment as I have been on autopay and I'm disabled. I have not had my trash picked up for 2 weeks. I have called and sent several message. They tell me they will send someone out to get it on the days I call but no one comes. They assure me my account is fine as I just paid them for the next three months on July 3,2024. After I paid they never picked up my trash on the 5th or 12th of Jul. I switched to Ameri-Tex or as they are now known as Live Oak Waste Company because they were way cheaper than my current trash service. Well be careful because sometimes you get what you pay for. We live on a dirt county road and every time it rained the trash truck driver would say that our road was too muddy and would not pick up our trash. This would require me to hold on to the trash until the next week's pickup which was very had to do and keep the animals out of. When I would call and complain the representative at Live Oak would just say they were sorry and that they would note on our account that we would have more trash than normal for the next week's pickup. Do yourself a favor and do not use Ameri-Tex / Live Oak Waste Company to save a few dollars because they are not worth the price. read more

Horribly unreliable service and yet they continue to increase the price. Once the company was bought/acquired by Live Oak the service has been terrible. Many missed pick ups and recently, they only took a bag or two from our can and left the remaining ones in the can- what gives. Let me start out by saying that I've been a loyal customer for over 10 yrs, my payments were automatic , so I was never late and I've never complained about anything, even their raising the rates with no notice, I've never complained. Now just out of the blue there is an issue with the driver not wanting to pick up my trash, but they pick up right up the rd from me. Wish I could give a 0 rating. This company has the worst customer service I've ever come across. They won't return call, or emails, or even messages sent thru their website. I called and was on hold for 31 minutes and while I was on the phone with the office help, someone from the office was calling me . We're new customers, and 5/6 of the weeks we've had this service they have been anywhere from a day late to NOT COMING AT ALL (twice). You can't get a response, currently their number isn't even working and they aren't responding to messages submitted on their website beyond a blanket reply-all type message. We also ordered a second trach can, NEITHER have been delivered for us to use, and they're billing us for the extra. Pick any other service and you'll probably be better off. read more

Absolute worst waste company. I never know when my service is going to be picked up but they are always quick to take payment. When you call the phone number, it's automated and when you choose ANY mailbox, they are all full and you can't leave a voicemail...I don't even know how to cancel my service because I can't leave a message or speak to someone. They are unreliable picking up trash. Our trash is supposed to be picked up on Friday and they are late all the time! Usually a day late but this time is the last straw. they frequently do not pick up your trash on time.. if you call it rings for 2 hours until someone picks up, then they don't care and won't give a refund. The beginning of Jan , my pick up day is Mon, mon and tues we had ice. So I left my trash out we'd, thinking they will pick up a couple days later since there was ice on the roads.no pick up on wed or Thursday. I call Friday, it literally rings for 2 hours. She said there was ice mon and Tuesday so we decided those routes wouldn't be picked up until next week. Will you give a refund? no. I said I'm disabled and dogs got in the trash and I can't keep picking it up..no answer from her..it didn't matter..The next Monday, trash was not picked up. Tuesday not picked up. Wednesday they picked up the trash. Meanwhile stray dogs have got in my trash 3 times because the lid wouldn't shut on the trash can. I'm disabled and I had to pick it all up. i pay monthly and they didn't pick up for over 2 weeks,but no refund. So they got paid a full month and only worked 2 weeks. That's easy money..get paid for doing nothing..and im left cleaning up the mess. This is not the first time.. when I started with them I even had to go pick up my trash can because after having service with them for over a month, they still had not brought me a trash can. Plus no pick up on time over and over..and what kind of business won't answer the phone for 2 hours? I only used them because there was no other service in my area. i just found someone that just started a new trash service and I canceled. Horrible customer services. Nothings their fault, it's their computer system and they have no control. Cuts off services during month of service that was paid for, so they rip you off a week of paid service. This has been happening to us three times since we moved our trash service to them. I will be reporting them to the BBB, and finding out who gave them their trash permit. They have no complaint department and will not settle up disputes, it's not part of their company. I have NO WORDS to describe how absolutely HORRIBLE AND UNDEPENDABLE THEIR SERVICE IS! Trash can stack up OVER a week and they do not CARE!!! We had auto pay and pick ups were scheduled on Fridays. In the beginning, they simply missed my can because it was a brand new one and not the color of the old ones on the route! After consistently complaining and strays scattering trash, (that I had to clean up), some local showed up in a flatbed and picked it up. Since January, it's anybody's guess when they'll show up! Maybe a week later even!! And NO CREDIT to your account either for all of those missed pick ups!!! And they OWE ME!! But, by golly, they take that payment out on time!!! Ameri-Tex Services is scheduled for Tuesday pick-ups. Many times, it can be one or two days later. Since the truck doesn't have a can dump, it is done manually. On numerous occasions, I have had to pick up spilled trash. Recently, my trash can and my neighbor's was not picked up. It was there Thursday and I contacted the website chat. Told me it would be picked up that day. I called again on Friday and was told that it would be picked up that day. I then asked to talk to a supervisor because I was very displeased with the chat agent. She told me that a supervisor would contact me within 24-48 hours. That was on a Friday. The following Tuesday, the trash was finally picked up. I was never contacted by a supervisor or any staff member. The next day, Wednesday, I contacted the company and they refused to refund the missed day. They have our phone numbers but don't advise us of the delays. They also didn't tell us about the price increase. So the price went up while the quality of service went down. I explained that I have changed trash services. The new company is cheaper. I do not recommend this company. It is extremely difficult to talk to a real person. read more

This company will cut you off and pass you up without notice if you miss even one payment. It's understandable if they send warning note first in mail or even an email to let you know service will stop, but they do not care and will just pass your house up and leave trash out to get torn into by raccoons and birds etc. And since they only come once per week unlike other trash guys.. you are left with double the trash to stash somehow for another full 7 days! That means over $22 they will stop serving you. Another thing I have had to replace my personal trash cans due to their guys messing them up being to rough and even dumping our lids in the trash truck.. so then rain and animals will get into the trash. And last but not least many of us in neighborhood and other nearby neighborhoods catch the guys urinating right outside of our houses wherever they want to. Gross! read more

We currently have Ameri-tex. We started out with a different company 7 years ago. That company merged, then another merged and that brings us to Ameri-tex. Initially all was fine.... but the last few months have been unpredictable. We are supposed to have Friday pick ups. Sometimes they pick up on Friday, and sometimes it's Saturday. We are never given any notice. Also, they are notorious for setting our empty can in the center of our driveway, and sometimes not emptying it completely. No doubt there office is closed and I will not be able to contact them about this issue. Monday is pick up day and they will not pick up my trash.
