They get one star because Yelp won't allow less. Their motto is they love their customers and welcome you to call them for an appointment, that's straight from their website. From beginning to end this was the worst service and attention to detail I've ever received when getting a mortgage loan. This was the most unprofessional rag tag operation of mortgage lenders in Miami, we felt completely in the dark throughout the entire loan process, mistakes, lack of communication and delays upon delays, for starters Nelson Fernandez can't communicate one sentence without confusing you or making you feel lost or like he's doing you a favor, he's a salad of confused words only making a stressful loan process even even more stressful. Mr. Fernandez never took the time to walk us through the loan process and explain our every move, it felt like pulling teeth. Every time we called Nelson he was either busy, zoom meetings, lunch, or with his kids. He always left us for last, at the end of the day, phone calls at nearly 5pm and rushed. Never returned calls as promised, for God sakes we felt so rushed and so not in control. Nelson rushed this loan and made mistakes because of lack of attention to detail. Our loan closing was delayed by nearly 2 weeks, then to make matters worse he sends the wrong price addendum to the lender and rushes the Clear to close on a Friday at nearly 5pm with wrong figures adding an additional 2 days of delay. When calling him on Saturday because the Title Company was making an effort for us to sign, he never responded to our phone calls, finally after blowing up his phone he spoke to Title company that we was with his kids and couldn't do anything, Mr. Fernandez made us wait until Monday nearly 5pm to advise the Clear to Close was finally corrected, when calling him he made my wife feel like an unvalued customer and wanted us not to call him anymore, made no efforts to make anything right, offered no apologies, and made us feel like he was doing us a favor, imagine that, we're paying customers. If you want to feel unvalued, confused, and in the dark throughout your loan process then America Reverse Mortgage Group is for you. I would never recommend this minor league operation to anyone. It seems like they do mortgages from their basement that's the feel you get, two man operation with no attention to detail or professionalism. You deserve better, take your time and find true Mortgage professionals, trust me, it makes a difference. read more
