The reason I always chose Southwest was because I didn't mind flying commercial and economy-class within the United States if it saved me money. Plus their bag limits and fees were better than other major airlines. The flight attendants were once upon a time much more enjoyable. Now it seems like staff members at all Southwest Airlines are going through the motions. Couldn't even hear or understand the person at the podium when boarding time started. Moreover, recently Southwest has announced they are doing away with their long-established policy of "first-come, first-served" seating. Instead, they are moving to assigned seating. I've seen many comments from individuals across social media expressing their joy over this, citing the awkwardness that goes with the usual seat-seeking process. Whatever! I highly doubt the experience overall gets better by taking away first choice seating and (we all know it's going to happen) raising prices, Southwest.

4/11/23 After…read morereading the reviews, I was kind of apprehensive ...not gonna lie. Got to the airport around 5:30 am and there were about 5 people in line and the counter was closed. Mind you boarding was at 6:50am and the flight leaves at 7:15 am. I was probably standing in line about 5-10 mins when they opened. Here are my observations and suggestions to keep the line moving and people from getting upset with the counter agents. 1) Check in PRIOR to arrival. If you can weigh your luggage, especially if you KNOW you're close to weight limit, Pulling stuff at the counter and figuring out what to put in the carry on is time consuming and holds up the line. One person was so overweight he had a $200 surcharge. 2) Do any paperwork or pre-pay for luggage ahead of time. One couple had about 6 pieces of luggage. They were sent out of line because the did not fill out the fire arm disclosure paperwork ahead of time. Being flustered, it looked as if they were going to have a panic attack as they were unsure how they were going to do it online. 3) CARRY-ONS : if you can get away with a carry on, do it. You can check yourself in at the kiosk and by-pass seeing an agent. The agent was friendly and quick. I treated her nicely, she treated me nicely. TRAVEL ON!

We asked for a refund as we specifically requested adjoining rooms during the booking process, the lady at the front desk was EXTREMELY RUDE and refused to process a refund, stating they had a 24 hour cancellation policy. This did not go well for any of us. I feel like they intentionally lied during booking to take our money knowing they would not refund it when they were not able to meet our needs. I will admit that I got ugly and tempers flared, she would not allow me to speak with the "Manager on Duty", she told me she did not have a phone number for him. She did finally send him an email and he agreed to refund the money (in 3 business days, I'm still waiting). I am hoping they give the refund as they stated, if not I will spend the money on an attorney. I will never waste my time or money with this hotel.
