I called the warranty/ Maytag number and am told that since I didn't purchase the Lowes "extended" warranty I was out of luck! Excuse me, what part of 5 years parts & labor from Maytag (its the Commercial model) would have me buy a 3 year overlapping warranty. But, Mr Appliance sent a tech. He listened to it running for about two minutes, said "Ive never heard that sound before?" And tells me the motor is out, ran no codes or any troubleshooting? Came back in with the estimate of $768. To fix a washer UNDER WARRANTY. ($975. Washer, 4 years old.) They charged me $125 for the service call but we're "supposed" to deduct it from my final bill. Ended up costing me 570 More to have them fix it . He replaced a perfectly good motor (and took the old one with him, even when I asked for it to be left, since I bought it. He ended up using process of elimination to decide it was the plastic gear and he "happened" to have a spare... for $80. Once that one piece went in. Ran perfectly. No break 9n the bill, no warranty help from Maytag. Didn't even deduct the $125 at the end. Done fighting both.. cut my loses and just let everyone know to avoid Both. Especially Maytag washers. ​

Pre-Review in the hopes to spare any potential customers the misery and disappointment in working with this company that obviously doesn't care about their integrity or business any longer (all current reviews seem to confer). Bill convinced us our old well didn't have enough supply (though it has perfect drinking water) to spend 5K for a new well that was drilled to the exact same depth. Except this new well has water that is being reported to the health department for contamination. This company doesn't care about what they give you, just finishing as soon as possible with no customer product review or approval and getting your check. The iron and sulfur in the water has ruined our appliances and made us sick. Bill has lied numerous times about 'fixing our water quality' or even coming back out to finish the job and put a pad under the tank. Our underground pipes are now twisted because they failed to do the basics. We have contacted an attorney and will be suing this company for new well, damaged appliances, ruined pipes and any pain and suffering I can get. We are also contacting news channels. Please please do not give your hard earned money to this company! From the start, the visit felt more like a sales call than a service inspection. I was told my unit "probably wouldn't make it through the summer" and that it would cost more to repair than replace. I was immediately pushed toward a full replacement instead of real troubleshooting. They quoted $17,000 to install a 5-ton unit. When I declined and mentioned that I expected a price closer to $10,000, I was suddenly offered a "huge discount" to match that price--but only if I agreed to install it the very next day. That alone raised red flags. After installation, several issues followed. The crew left a mess and damaged a fairly new access door (less than a year old). While they did eventually send a contractor to repair it, it shouldn't have happened in the first place. More concerning were the technical issues. I had ongoing problems with a clogged drain line, and after three separate visits, no real solution was provided. Instead, I was repeatedly pushed to buy a $1,600 water condenser and a service plan. I later learned that the line simply needed to be properly vacuumed out--something that should have been basic knowledge. I also experienced recurring power loss to the unit. For nearly a year, the issue was blamed on the thermostat. Eventually, it was discovered that the breaker in front of the air handler was never properly installed and was missing screws from day one. At this point, I honestly can't tell if this comes down to poor training or a company culture focused on repeat visits and upselling. Either way, it was frustrating, time-consuming, and unacceptable for such a large investment. The upside is that I now know how to maintain my own system--because I had no choice but to learn. Unfortunately, I would not recommend ARS Rescue Rooter based on my experience.
