I had the front of my vehicle fixed after hitting a deer late last year. Checking in my vehicle and receiving my estimate was easy. They gave me a timeline to expect my vehicle to be out of service. The rental car that was set up through my insurance was a few buildings over. They offered to drive me over but I decided to walk over instead. It was a little confusing when we received text message updates from them that gave us a clear date into the future of when our vehicle would be ready for pickup and then a few minutes later getting another text message saying our vehicle was ready for pickup. I like that they guarantee their work as long as you own your vehicle. You even get a certificate. Service was good. I would recommend them. read more

Wait!?! WHAT?! I can't believe that this is American Auto Body's first review! This place is SOLID. So, where to start? I got into an altercation with a pole... it happens. Made the claim with my insurance and then took it to a few places for an estimate. When I got to American Auto Body, I was impressed with their office, and even more impressed with their staff. My estimator was Wayne. What a great dude. He went above and beyond to get my truck fixed right. He worked with my insurance to get the damage from the 'altercation' fixed, and then he negotiated some warranty work with a body shop in Denver! He didn't have to do it, but he did... I couldn't be more pleased. The paint is flawless, the chrome is blingin', my mirror is fixed; perfection. They even cleaned the interior... it SMELLS like a new car again. American auto body repaired my vehicle and when I picked it up, there was a windshield chip on the center of my windshield. When I called to see if they would have it fixed they told me to file a claim with my insurance company instead of taking responsibility for the damage. I will not be taking any vehicles off mine back to American Auto body nor will I refer anyone to their shop. read more

These people do horrible work. Then when you question the poor quality of their work, the stuff they ruined, the stuff they broke, the stuff thats missing, and the stuff with greasy hand prints all over it they start degrading you. Trying to make you think it's some how your fault or your wrong. Then they act like they are going to do you a favor to fix all their screw ups. They straight up lie to your face. read more

I have taken several vehicles to American Auto Body for repair and have had wonderful service and quality work each time, hence my repeated business. But the most recent experience was the best. I was out of town during the repair and they were willing to leave my car outside to pickup when I got back into town Saturday night. However, because their parking lot was being repaved and they would have had to put my truck inside and I would not have had access, they drove it to my house! Far west-end Billings! I know that is atypical and I hope no one asks for that delivery service but under the circumstances they went above and beyond - again! Thank you American Auto Body. read more

Good customer service - excellent body work and pricing is in line with what is expected - they don't cheap out with parts to try and undercut - always have used OEM for the vehicles I have brought them. Not sure what happened to CP. but I have had nothing but good service and they have kept me informed. read more

I shopped three auto body shops in Billings before choosing American. I am super picky when it comes to customer service and I am really glad I chose this auto body shop. The staff communicated with me, very clearly, on when the car was expected to be done and although it took one day later because of an extra part that had to be delivered, the staff gave me a three day heads up, which I really appreciated. I am a happy customer and I would definitely recommend this shop! read more

I gave one star because I can't give zero! This place has horable customer service! When my truck got hail damage from the big storm that went through town in may I immediately went into them because they came recommended. I was probably one of the first folks to come in they said but probably still be a few months out since they have been backed. 5months went by and I never heard a word! I called them and they tell me they didn't have any info on my truck and that I would need to come in. Uuugh!!! So I go in and they finally found a little sheet of paper with my name and number and nothing else. They said they would call me again in a few weeks but nothing! I have since went to another place and my truck is darn near finished! Pooor poor poor customer service! Where have the days gone when a company actually cared about the customer Over the $$$! read more

I had always heard good things about American Auto Body, as a professional reliable auto body shop. However, after recently taking a vehicle in for an estimate I was thoroughly unimpressed with their level of professionalism. On top of an incredibly rude employee handling my estimate, I have also had a great amount of difficulty with communication between the Autobody shop and the insurance company I am dealing with. I will never go to American Auto Body again after being told blatantly that I was "welcome to take it somewhere else" after questioning a delay. read more

I went in there to get an estimate to bolt on my bumper. Three clips had broken and needed to be replaced. they quoted me $1044.00 dollars and said I needed a new bumper and when I told them I only wanted the bolts brpaced they said it would still be $1044.00. I ended up getting the bolts at O'riley for $2.99 and had a friewnd fix the bumper for free. They are a rip off. read more
