I figured the battery was toast, but (after filling the cells with distilled water) decided to take it to AutoZone for testing. Well I learned that not only do they test, but they charge batteries too. Since their charger is higher amperage than my dinky home charger, I know this can often breath life into a battery. The process took about an hour, so we used this time to pop down the street for some tamales, which we ate in the park. An hour later we returned to AutoZone to learn that battery passed the test and charged properly. I put it back in the gate and so far it's working fine. AutoZone's free service just saved (or delayed) another cash outlay. Thanks AutoZone! PS. Don't forget about AutoZone's free engine diagnostic code reader (if your Check Engine Light) is on. This can save you big bucks!

They were able to locate one nearby, picked it up and installed it within a couple of hours. We were able to get to our next stop. Traveling north days later, we noticed another engine problem (sluggish power), called Cummins Ft. Worth again - they ran diagnostics and replaced EGR pressure sensor. All fixed and on our way! Everyone made sure we were comfortable from Billy Eldridge, service mgr. , Daniel Jones, service advisor to Ryan, an EXCELLENT Mechanic who wouldn't sign off until he put it under pressure with a smoke machine and the Dyno machine. First time I felt as though a company was trying to rip off a woman. I had called to get generator…read moreservice in my RV and when I arrived after a week they said they didn't have the air filter. Then it proceeded, they checked the code and it said it needed a fuel filter. They said it would cost to change the fuel filter and do a diagnostic it would cost over $700. They said it would take 3 hours. Why read the code....it said just a fuel filter needed to be replaced. I had my generator serviced late last year and got bad fuel. Of course I walked away from a ridiculous quote. I tried to get the fuel filter from them but they immediately erased my information. I can order from Amazon because I have an old invoice with the part#. Very disappointed in Cummins.
