So I called givemethevin.com on Monday 3/9/26 and had a nice conversation with Jennifer. She asked for information about the car and some photos of my car. After hanging up I was able to send her the information and within an hour of our first conversation she called me right back with an excellent offer and asked if I was interested. I was very happy and excited about the offer. Then she asked for some other sepcific pictures of the car and documents. Jennifer and I talked again on 3/10/26 she made an offer of $19,750, oh yeah! Selling it private party I was going to ask $20,000 and if it got desperate I would have gone down to $18,000. So $19,750 was way above my expectations. Finalizing the documentating was completed the same day with a plesant lady named Monica. I was given instructions on completing the documentation and on where to deliver the car (40 miles away) and made an appointment for delivery on 3/11/26. When I arrived there the man who did the intake inspection was nice to work with and he already had the $19,750 check in hand. That took around 20 minutes then they paid for an Uber Chevy Suburban to drive me home. That being said this was my first auto loan and I walked in there with all honesty, as far as how much I had down. They offered me a 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan and I had expressed my situation to a young lady, Alyssa and the older Middle Eastern man Tariq Elfauri. I drove off the lot in that vehicle on August 28th, and on October 20 2025 it was repossessed from my job. I was told at the dealership that they were going to give me a month to make my car payment. They claimed and never got it, the date was repossessed I made an additional payment of 480 and they still refused to reinstate my loan. Tariq also HIT MY CREDIT REPORT WITH THE REPOSSESSED and I've heard from "Deontye" that he basically blacklisted me from getting another car with anyone else. The day that I was able to go to the dealership and get my things out of the car a man introduced himself as Deontye and claimed he was helping me get my car back.. it's now December 15 and that has not been the case. I'm obviously going to get a lawyer involved. Watch out. This entire thing was a whole scam. Im sure they are all in on it. I'm very embarrassed and upset but I wanted to share so no one else falls for this crap. I heard from Deontye there's 20 REPOSSESSION cars right now and some other lady came up there crying about her car being repo'ed. If you're already in a hard spot.. don't trust them. Hi everyone!…read more Yesterday I came in to Carmax to sell them my Tesla. I did most of the process online first. Got an offer I felt was fair and made the appointment to come in and finish the deal. I have to admit, being new to this, I was skeptical. I came in and worked with Johnny. We went through my paperwork. They checked out my car to make sure it was as I indicated online. About 30 minutes later, I walked out with a check. We had a cataclysmic failure on the fucking freeway Sunday 6/7/26. We got stuck for over an hour with both my parents age 70+ suffering in the heat. Even when we got the jeep moved the car wouldn't move even in neutral off the tow truck. Had a mechanic friend take a look at it and yea looks like liquids that come from the radiator are just splashed about everywhere. This has been the worst experience ever.
