Try to keep this from getting TLDR. I guess the short story is this place did great work. I bought a used car years ago, it had a "performance" muffler on it. After putting up with the loud exhaust for a couple years, I was done. I went to a place that was closer to me at the time, and they put a stock muffler on it. Still had a little rumble, but told not much to do about it. Job well done, or so I thought. Few years later, I start noticing a rattle on startup. It's not bad, it goes away after warm up. I carry on. Few months ago, it gets worse, still goes away, but I think I might have a transmission issue. Friend of mine I'm telling about it said he had the same thing once and he had a broken bracket on his exhaust system. I get under and see this mess. Cracked welds, pipe separated from the muffler. Also, they didn't install a mounting support above the pipe, probably one of the reasons it broke. Well, not going back to that place. I did a little research, and Big Johns looked like the best place. Little out of my way, but I wanted to make sure this time things went better. I believe John was there when I arrived, and had another guy who worked with him. I mentioned the whole problem, plus said it was still a little loud. He suggested a slightly bigger muffler, plus he installed a bracket support where the other place hadn't, and also redid the other two supports that were in place. The new supports were obviously more heavy duty. It did the trick. Also, I noticed my car was running better and a couple of issues had gone away. Car is now running like it did before all this started, and it's the quietest it's ever been. Charged me $200 and it was well worth it. At this point, I'm pretty happy. Be aware that when I was there, they only work on one car at a time. I don't know if he utilizes the other garage bay, but they work fast. It took maybe 30 minutes or so to do the job. read more

Asked for a quote to get a resonator and muffler delete on MKV Supra. A reply was given promptly through Google, with a rough estimate. Few days later, I take off work early to bring the vehicle in, calling beforehand to ensure stopping by was ok. After arriving, there was one customer being assisted before me. I head into an empty office and take a seat, nobody to greet me. Couple minutes later, a seemingly disgruntled employee came through the door and quickly greeted me and said they would be with me as soon as possible, before disappearing back through the shop Being an enthusiast, I wanted to do my usual mods with a new vehicle and wanted to try this shop after looking through the reviews. Why not? It's on the way home from work. I waited around for 30 minutes with no other interactions, updates, etc. This isn't my first time doing a mod of this nature and I know how much time it typically takes and the work involved. I felt pretty disrespected as a customer and after, (who I am guessing is the owner), walked in the office several times without any sort of update on when he would get to me, I decided to leave. Its sad as a car enthusiast to be treated this way. I asked for a quote, I called before coming, I did my due diligence. Its unfortunate that "Big John" or whoever didn't think my business or seemingly my character/appearance was good enough... I advise any enthusiast or potential customer to stay away. Come to find out that the Flex Tube was broken, I must've ran over something which caused it to break. He even asked if I wanted to see it, which I did. Have and will always use this shop for my exhaust system. I have used him on several occasions, with different trucks. Always honest informs you what would be best. Very reasonable price. Sent my daughter to him a few years back on an issue we thought was the converter. He informed her she didn't need. Told her to get the sensors checked. He could have easily done the job for several $100. She used him again when her tailpipe was rattling, he checked it and repaired it quickly and only charged a minimum amount. I started having issues and saw that Big John's was recommended in one of my FB groups, and I am so happy he was! I messaged him and he got back to me quickly with my zillion questions. I was able to pick up the parts and take them to the shop. He was quick and very reasonably priced. A couple of weeks ago I thought one of my cc's was stolen as there was an incredibly loud coming from underneath and only got louder the more I pressed the gas, typical in a theft. I messaged him again and said to bring it on it. I did and as soon as it got up on the lift, he assured me there wasn't theft but had a couple of bolts loose and a leak. This place is totally awesome. I was referred to "Big John's" by another auto shop for exhaust leak. I went there at 8:30 am with no appointment and they had me on a lift inspecting the leak within 15 minutes. They showed me the problem which was a cut exhaust pipe where someone had tried to steal my catalytic converter from my 1 ton cargo van. They welded the pipe back together and I was on the road by 9:15 am. AND, the cost was only $30. Over the weekend my wife got our 2014 QX80 stuck in ditch while trying to find park. In the process of getting the vehicle out, we damaged & broke off the muffler(resonator). I searched in yelp for some quotes for the repair. Big John's was one of the first to reply & gave me a decent quote but would need to look at it to be sure. Ohmygoodness. I don't have enough wonderful things to say about this place. Our muffler fell off while driving (only 1/2 way off) and we were referred here from our oil change place. We tied up the muffler with some wire- drove it over and they fixed it in under an hour for $50! And they were the nicest people ever. This place is AS GOOD AS IT GETS!!! I highly recommend Big John's. They have the best price in town. It being so close to Christmas I was worried I wasn't going to have enough money for gifts. But his prices blew everyone else's out the water! Not to mention he is super kind! I had my Catalytic Converter replaced. I called earlier in the week and told him I would be there Saturday morning at 8am. It was really cold that morning and he made sure the office was nice and warm just for me!
