Both companies, in writing, stated that the flooring "wasn't installed correctly". We ended up having to REMOVE the entire flooring and had a competent installer reinstall the entire floor. GH Flooring would not admit to the mistake or correct the mistake. Their response was " its close enough". We recommend to stay away from them. If on the off chance they cause damage to your home, (which they did in our home and refused to take responsibility) or install the flooring incorrectly, they won't correct it. Completely unprofessional and unworthy. Please take heed of our warning and just go with a real professional installer. Do yourself a favor and avoid the expense and hassle of having to do your floor twice.

Of course, he ignored my contact. I reached out to my contractor who promised to correct the issue but was ghosted as well. But in the meantime, I was asked to remove the bad review I had initially left for Rob. I guess he didn't like it but doesn't sound like he's trying s to correct his ways. He just wants to fool other people into purchasing cabinets from him then disappearing once he has your money. Not a great way to run a business and word travels fast.

I let him know what I needed and he even came that same night after hours to do a consultation. Once he assessed, and understood the urgency he sent a quote that night, and made an appt that same week to install the door/door frame. He sent me all my options and picked everything up at Home Depot for me so I didn't have to move a finger. Dorian answered texts promptly, was very careful with his work, and kept me updated throughout the day on progress/issues he found when installing my door. While he was working he listened to my needs and customized the door to what I needed. At the end of the job he even offered to fix some messed up door locks in the house that my sister mentioned weren't working properly, free of charge. Even now, we think they did an outstanding job laying new hardwood and sanding. However, 1 year later the floors were showing a lot of wear after supposedly using 3 coats of Duraseal oil based polyurethane. 4 years later we now have to refinish our floors. In multiple areas the color has completely worn away and in some other areas it's peeling. I even reached out to Duraseal to find out if this lack of durability is expected. They told me that it's possible if they didn't apply enough layers, didn't give it enough time to dry between layers, or applied it too thin or thick. Since we were not living at the house when the work was done we couldn't monitor this. Since they were sloppy enough to dent our new floor with cans, they could've been sloppy applying Duraseal. The companies coming in to quote us to refinish our floors are flabbergasted at the amount of wear in such a short period of time. Every vendor said it looks like they didn't apply enough coats. I'm not sure what the actual reasoning is. Hardwood Guys had competitive pricing. However, it cost us more in the long run. Now, we have to pay a second time, deal with dust, VOCs, and smell, in addition to being displaced with a young child to redo the work that should've been done properly in the first place.

The entire process of dealing with this company was top notch professional from the initial home visit consultation to the actual job itself. The 2 workers sent to the house were so amazing: respectful, presentable, hardworking and very good at their job. They plastic covered everything and advised me how best to set the A/C and windows for maximum drying. They came several days in a row and were easy to deal with regarding scheduling. Lastly, their price was super! No wonder the Property Brothers like this company. I will definitely use them again for future projects.

His pricing was quite fair for this large job. They began work within a week and I was incredibly impressed with his team, how clean they kept the worksite (our front courtyard) and how they cleaned up after each day's work. They were organized, methodical and worked section by section around the entire roof. The men were all hard workers and very kind. The roof is now done to code (wasn't before), with new flashing and the proper protections under the cedar shingles for longevity. Could not be more thrilled. Let me start by saying we highly recommend AKD and love our kitchen…read more We had been talking to different companies about a remodel of our very old, outdated, and minimally functional kitchen. Everyone but AKD came in with a "plan" that really was just replacing cabinets and changing the island a bit. When Justin came in he immediately looked at our situation, suggested changing out some windows to allow for another bank of cabinets and tremendous cabinet space. We were sold - a completely new design, improved storage and heaps more counter space, and best of all significantly improved functionality. I'm not going to lie - it was not a joy to go through. But everything was done perfectly in a very imperfect location (our house is 142 years old and nothing is level). The subcontractors were all top notch and everyone was very accommodating. Requested changes were made well and without complaint. When something didn't function as we hoped it would Justin's answer was "we will make it right." And he did. And to not give the wrong impression, those were always minor things. There is not a single complaint I can make except that the project took a long long time - in part due to some difficult to install equipment we wanted. (The installer told us it was the most difficult installation he ever did.) I have spoken to friends and our experience with a remodel was so much better and easier than they had with other contractors. From design originality to perfect execution (Justin is a perfectionist and it shows in the final product) I truly believe you cannot do better than AKD for your remodel.
