Used to be one of my favorite location not any more. It was ran better when the Asian guy who seemed to be the manager or owner was there. Since then the quality has went down. I went inside to order and while waiting I observed the cooks. The cook was grabbing rice to fry with his bare hands. Then he rinsed a sauce bowl that you toss the wings in and threw the liquid he was rinsing out on the floor in the back. Not only that he grabbed a wing out the fryer with his hand and a napkin squeezed the grease off with a napkin then put it in an order that I'm guessing was short a wing. The drinks were all flat I told the cashier her response was I thought it was only one. Didn't bother to refill the machine. Just looked at the reviews and didn't want to base my opinion off of other people's experience. However, the previous reviews were no where near close to lying. I called in to place an order for pick up and I was not greeted properly but that wasn't my main concern. My concern was when i started to place my order but before then i asked if i can place an order she responded with "go ahead" i didn't think i heard her correctly and i said "excuse me" she responded it more aggressively "go head wit ya order". Right there just showed me if i was to place an order in person that not be a good look for this place or my character. Where to begin with American Deli, Ellenwood... According to all the previous reviews, this location and perhaps many was rated under 2 stars. In my opinion, I didn't have much of a complaint from my experience. Once arriving, it was slightly busy but a fast moving line & great service! The friendly gentlemen was so nice, especially when asking if we needed anymore sauces or condiments. The food came cooked to order in about 10 minutes, good timing. Getting to the food, it was hot and simply satisfying to the eye. The fried rice was just your average store fried rice, but it was well cooked for me I guess so that makes a difference. The chicken was cooked to an almost perfect crisp, tender. I choose lemon pepper, wet style, as my sauce but I do have to say it was a lot more lemon salt than it was pepper at all. I will admit, I threw some of the in-house bottle of lemon pepper & sprinkled it over my fries before I left. That was amazing, would definitely get that again on my fries, just add some of my pepper from home. I usually have good service and a nice experience at this location, but it seems they have two new hires handling the order taking. These two gentlemen should not be anywhere near customers, they might try to seem polite but are very rude. Was on hold on the phone for over 15 minutes, when one of them picked up and I expressed my displeasure he said "if you've been on hold for that long then you should have your order ready and not complain to me" and then cut the call. I called back and he answered again, I told him that he was rude and his last statement was unnecessary, he proceeds to say "do I sound Asian, Mexican or Chinese? Why are you bugging? Would you like to order or not" now anyone with half a brain would know how ignorant that statement sounds. But like I said I usually have great service there so I decided to drive up there, and make my order in person (since I was still going to have to pick it up). When I get there I see two new faces and I automatically know that's why. I make my order and guess what?? THEY MESSED UP MY ORDER. 2006-2007 this used to be my favorite location. The service was good and the wings and sauce were awesome. They have changed and it has gone downhill. First off the wings have gotten extremely tiny and the hot sauce doesn't even taste the same. There is this rude Asian guy that works the register and his customer service sucks. I went last night and got the 15 piece combo. I had to remind him it comes with a drink, since he didn't hand me my cup, and when I went to get my soda they were all out. I asked if there was anymore soda and he said no they were out and I would have to get juice. He didn't bother to let me know ahead of time they had no soda. The fries sucked and had no salt. I felt like my $15 went down the drain. Will never be back to this location. I'll stick with the Gresham location. read more

My first impression was not good, and I should have followed my gut and walked out. No one was at the register to help. The cashier came from what appeared to be the back door.
