Went to purchase a dress on clearance for $29.99. At the register it rang up full price at $104.95. We let the cashier know it was on clearance, so she changed the price to $49. We showed her the tag marked 29.99. She acted exasperated and said she would have to get the manager who was five feet away. The manager came up and we showed her the tag. With a rude attitude she said it wasn't 29.99 and peeled off the tag. No apology for the mistake. From the comments below it sounds like the same manager. We have 5 teenagers. If this is the type of people they hire, the way the train and conduct business, we will no longer shop at any American Eagle store. read more

Horrible return policy. I've never had any issues at American eagle before with returning product that does not fit correctly. Wore my jeans for 3 hours and the waste band stretched from a size 8 to like a size 12. Tried to come exchange for a size 4 or 6 since I had not washed them and only worn them for a few hours. However, they wouldn't let me since I took the tags off. If your product is defective how is that my fault? Won't be buying jeans from here anymore. read more

As soon as me, my sister & cousin walked into the store, an employee rudely told us that we needed to wear masks when the employee and many other employees and other people in the store were not wearing masks and they did not tell any other customers that walked in after us to put a mask on. As we walked through the store another employee again not wearing a mask told us we had to have masks on. We felt very racially profiled and the employees were very rude which we ended up walking out of the store because they made it feel very unwelcoming. read more

I usually have a decent experience here. Not great, not bad. This evening was different than usual. It was complete and utter chaos in the store. I went in there for jeans. I knew what I wanted to buy (for the most part) but they were moving all of their inventory of jeans into boxes, as the wall behind them was to be painted this evening. It was entirely a mad house. People everywhere, you could barely get through, long lines and waiting. It was ridiculous. I had to have a clerk get them out of the box for me. They weren't exactly the color I was looking for but I was unable to be selective at that time and was not allowed to go through the boxes myself. I was handed the first pair in my size and it seemed I was expected to be done. I got in line to pay for my purchase. It was quite a long wait. Upon checkout, I was informed that they "wanted to get a head start on painting before closing". Never again. I should've left. I would highly recommend to management that they wait until closing to begin packing up their inventory and prepping for the paint job. It was so unprofessional and a great way to upset your customers. It should be noted that I overheard other customers complaining as well, and some so annoyed that they simply left. read more

I went into american eagle Tuesday night and was looking for favorite boyfriend jeans that i had seen online! They didn't have them in stock, which was no surprise for me, i knew that they wouldn't going in to it. There was a young girl who completely set me up to try n jeans similar and ordered them for me, they literally came two days later! I was so excited! Not only that, the girl that helped me went above and beyond what i expected her to do fr me! She was awesome! She gave amazing customer service, and was so helpful and listened to me! I also got a really good deal on two pair of jeans and she also helped me with that! I will definitely be going back she was absolutely amazing! I am a regular shopper at American Eagle and there is always a sweet young girl that works there, her name is Cynthia (I go there so much I actually know her name lol!) She's always super helpful and always has a smile on her face. Every time I go in she's always on top of things and always asking if I'm doing ok. I feel like a lot of places lack genuine people now a days. Glad I found an awesome associate at my fav store! read more
