American Eagle Outfitters is a chain store that sells women's and men's clothing and accessories. I occasionally shop at this particular location in Ross Park Mall. As I shopped around the store, an employee greeted me. I thought that the selection of women's clothes was decent. I found two articles of clothing, a shirt and a pair of socks, to purchase. The checkout line was long, so I waited for several minutes. The cashier correctly rang up my transaction, and she said thank you and told me to have a great day. The absolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced (specifically dealt with Libbeth and Molly M on the Customer Service team). American Eagle has recently changed their return policy (nothing like it used to be), and I was out of the country on my honeymoon in the window when my order was to be returned. I called immediately when I got back from my honeymoon to explain the situation and got the runaround from several Customer Service Representatives that they were "looking into it" and they would get back to me. I never received a phone call back and instead, had to turn to leaving feedback on their app in order for someone to even respond to me via email. That's when I spoke to both Molly and Libbeth (via email), and they let me know that they couldn't find any calls or indication that I spoke to anyone over there. They said several times that they were unwilling to help me return the items and suggested that I go sell the items on Poshmark or Plato's Closet. They also said that they would not escalate the issue to a supervisor because there was no one beyond them that would be able to help. This is so disappointing coming from a loyal customer for the past 10+ years and it seems like they care more about their new "policy", versus working with a customer to try to arrive at a solution. store was organized but the employees were cliquey and looked at me like i was in the wrong place.. the cashier did not greet me whatsoever. i have worked customer service / retail for many years so i understand but there is a certain level of respect that should be administered regardless of the employee is young, in high school, etc. it's 2024! do your job! read more

Decent enough selection of items you'll see on just about every person in the Pittsburgh area, but the employees were a little bit on the pestering side. From the moment my friend and I walked into this store until the moment we left it felt like we had a tail on us. If you want me to buy your $70 sweater that I'll find at Goodwill next week, leave me alone. Aside from that little annoyance, the store is pretty big, selection is well organized and they have a fairly sized section of the store for clearance. I also hate how they jump seasons, I know you need to get a jump start on your competition, but when it's cold out, I'm not in the mood to look at shorts. read more

I absolutely love this store! The Ross Park location has excellent customer service and merchandise. Aerie is a great brand that promotes self confidence and real beauty. The models in the store graphics are real, not photoshopped, and the store also tends to have positive messages on them as well. The merchandise is wonderful! It is stylish, affordable, and long-lasting and durable. This is my go-to place for cotton panties, which are super comfy from here. In addition to panties and bras, they have much more, like shirts, sweatpants, leggings, jackets, accessories, etc. The store is always stocked, clean, and organized. It is very easy to find what you need in here. The employees are friendly, outgoing, and helpful. I 100% recommend shopping here! The lady working here wasn't very welcoming or helpful. She was nice but I was the only one in the store and she never even talked to me until I came up to her. The clothes are 5 stars as their bralettes are my favorite, but it's because of this employee that I gave it a lower rating. read more
