I am currently studying English in a 2:1 student/teacher ratio class at the Optimus language school. It's amazing for only two students to have one teacher. I don't hesitate to satisfy my curiosity. I feel free to ask any question at any time in the middle of the lesson, which I could not imagine in a class with more than 10 students. I prepared for learning English in the U.S. through the Internet. There were countless language school websites like Kaplan on the Internet but, most of them had over at least 10 students in a class. I didn't think it would be efficient to study English in those settings so, I chose this school. I think I was so lucky that I found the Optimus language school because I feel everyday my English is getting better at its fastest face. Additionally, this school's website is serving a video to show how to fill out the DS 160 Form needed for the online visa application in multiple languages such as Chinese, Korean, Japanese and so on. It is so detailed, accurate and easy to follow. I was able to write down the form thanks to the video very easily. I strongly recommend the Optimus language school and am sure you will not regret selecting this school as your starting point to improve your English skills. read more

This language school is unbelievable!. The teachers here at Optimus really cares about my English progress. The class size is really really small so that I can interact a lot with my teacher! Currently, I only have 3 other students in my class! And the tuition is very cheap if you thinking about taking class with only 3 students! All teachers here are native speakers. No accent at all! They don't have any students who just want to maintain their visa status. All students here really want to improve their English, not like other local language schools where a lot of students just want to maintain their I-20. The tuition is very reasonable considering the class size. (of course, a little more expensive than local language schools where the focus is just to maintain their status, where there are so many students in class.) I strongly recommend this school to everyone who currently go to other language school. You really have to try this school!!! read more

My experience with AELS has been awesome. I was at another language school before and was unhappy. There was so many students in my class so I was shy and did not want to speak in front of so many people. Also, there was not a lot of chances to speak English and ask the teacher questions. So I looked into AELS and was very satisfied. First, the staff is all fantastic. They are caring and very hands on. They love what they do and it shows with all the students. Next, the classes are awesome. I only had 3 other classmates in my class, so it felt like I had a private tutoring class. This let me be able to speak a lot more in class and ask the teacher questions whenever I wanted to. I really enjoyed how personal the class was. My family hosted an International student from Korea during winter time. The student of lower English ability found Optimus Language School supportive, helpful, friendly and fun. I am currently attending Optimus Language School to enhance my English. I have lived here in California for so long, around 30 years, but I feel like I don't use English as well as I would like to. I am surrounded by my own ethnic group most of the time. A lot of my friends don't think it's necessary to continue to improve English after they lived here for so many years. However, it doesn't matter how long you have lived here. It's how fluent you can speak English and how much you have tried to assimilate into American culture. I go to Optimus Language School to improve my English skills. I came to America 3 months ago. When I came here, I was not good at listening and speaking in English. So, I was worried about communicating with my teacher, but he tries to speak in plain English. It's good for me that Optimus has classes with small ratios of students to teachers. It gives me many chances to speak in my class. The textbooks are written about English grammar, but my classmates and I had already learned that. #1 English Language School in California! I attended this school for 6 months (2 quarters) to go to graduate program in Japan. I improved my speaking and listening a lot! There were only 4 other students in my class. Usually each class has about 5-6 students in class unlike other language schools. Well, that's the reason I chose this school because my reading and grammar were good, but my speaking and listening were not good. Their tuition is very good too. It's only $500/month. Their teachers are wonderful! They really teach well and I loved my teacher! I don't think you can go to a better English language school than this school in terms of tuition, class size, and teacher quality. My cousin came to the States back in the beginning of July. I spent time with him looking for different language schools so he could learn English. We looked around everywhere from Diamond Bar to Rowland Heights, hoping to find a good place. Luckily, we came upon this place in Brea. It's really cool that we got to find such a nearby location for my cousin. Location was the only thing we looked for, and that itself was great. It's only been a few weeks, but he really really LOVES the program. He told me all about it, how there's no more than 8 students in a class with one teacher, and everyone really does seem to care about the program. I would highly recommend AELS for anyone looking to improve their English. The teachers and staff are very helpful and friendly, and I was able to learn and improve a lot because the classes were so small and intimate, unlike other language schools I've been to. I came from Germany around May last year. I was looking for a place to learn English around Fullerton and Brea but I didn't find one I liked until I got here. This school provided a great environment for me with non-native students from many different cultures and native speaking teachers who provide their students with engaging and beneficial classes. The class ratios are also small, the biggest being around 8:1 so the teachers can help with problems you might personally have with the language. Most of language schools had around 10 to 15 students in one class, so I didn't have chance to have conversations with classmates or teachers.
