Not the first time they told me they would do something,then not. I now believe everything they post is just to make themselves look good,because they have done nothing to make it right. I just hope no one has a nightmare experience we have. We are in eighties,my husband in hospice and not long left. They obviously do not care. I'm sure they don't walk around on their own floors,with most planks loose.Was told I would get " one time curtesy call". Fixed about three planks that came loose again. Its been 1 year since this company destroyed what used to be our "dream forever home". We withheld payment until the job was done correctly and we finally got to a point where we had to settle with them months later. After many, many "re-dos" they repeatedly showed us they do not know what they are doing. And destroyed our house in the process. The sloppiness evidenced by dents/chips all throughout our house are still being found (dishwasher, custom cabinetry, baseboards, doors, walls, etc). I brought it to their attention and no accountability was taken. They also lied about the results of the moisture level test on our slab. We had a specialized flooring inspector come to our house and reported the grouting was done incorrectly. Don Williams (owner) then came to our house and tried to use intimidation tactics to get us to pay full price and also said, "When you started this project did you think it was going to come out perfect?" Well, yes.. As it should be for the price we paid and our expectations of a flooring company. Please look elsewhere for future work. I would not recommend this business. read more

This place is ok. The manager (I believe) helped us when we went in. The salesmen were way too pushy though, which is a huge turn off for me. My aunt liked the carpets we were shown and I verified with my interior designer friends that we were getting a good carpet at a great price. My aunt decided to proceed with having her home measured. The girl who came out to measure totally ruined the sale. When my aunt asked her what the house was measured at she says, "Oh I am just too busy to tell you, you can call the store and get it!" and wasn't very nice at that. Our dealings with then afterwards were just awful though. So between the pushiness & the measuring gal, we are going with another company. While the price I was quoted was very reasonable, the actual service and installation process was terrible. First they brought the wrong sinks. I pointed this out to them when they arrived, and they told me the proper sinks were on another truck that was on the way. AFTER they removed all of my kitchen and bathroom sinks, they admitted they didn't have the right replacements. They gave me the run - around for three weeks before they arrived with the wrong replacements again! Having gone THREE WEEKS without a sink in my house, I relented, and accepted the newest sinks (that still weren't right). I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy, much less a friend or neighbor. read more

If I could give them a zero I woould they laid laminate flooring in my hallway and tile in my bedroom. The guy who installed the laminate flooring did an awful job, I will post pictures of the crap work. It took him 15 hours to do less than 100sqft of work. I called the company and Johnny Marino was my sales man, he was rude and didn't care about my problems since we had already paid, so he transferred me to someone else that didn't answer the phone. I called back and spoke with a different sales person who then transferred me to the right person. He had no resolution to my problem just said he was sorry. My laminate looks horrible and all I get from the company is an oh well it's not our fault. read more

Ii have been doing business with this company for over 30 year's and I was satisfied until September 2020, I purchase Granite for my kitchen and they installed marble, I wasn't award that they installed the wrong product until it stared change colors, I went back to the store and talk with the owner Don Williams he stated granite don't change color, so he sent one of his employer to home and confirm what was going on at that time point he confirm that I didn't have granite it was marble, however, they finally confirm that I had put wrong countertop , Don Williams stated they will replace my countertops however they advised me to go there warehouse in Loxley wear they had a large selection however I wanted a light they didn't have light colors so Andrew kept tell me he expected new products and. They may have a light colors, and they didn't, finally I got tried if waiting so decided to get something and at time they decide they wasn't going to replace countertops They want me pay $3,9000 that I pay in the beginning and they gave me the wrong countertop . I'm giving five stars, not because everything went perfect, because in fact it didn't. BUT - the company did do a great job at resolving the issue. It's easy to give a five star review when everything goes as expected, but how a company handles challenges can be more important. I hired them for a medium size (about 1000' sq ft) tile job with a fair amount of complexity (herringbone pattern - tons of cuts). Johnny M. the sales person helped us match a tile that we brought with us a sample (tile was excellent quality by the way), and helped choose a grout. We quoted the job with several places, and they were on par and local so we choose American Flooring and Cabinets. We scheduled the job far in advance (almost 2 months I believe), and alloted about 10 days for the jobs completion. Long story short, the tile person they had scheduled completely failed to do the job within the window (a condo that I rent out out, so down time costs me money). Andy with the company did do a great job of finding another installer (Chris) who is from their Pensacola branch I believe. Chris told me exactly what he was going to do, when he was going to do it, and without fail lived up to his word. My wife and I can't be happier with the result. While I wish things would have gone smoother during the original install, I can say that they never wavered in their responsibility for the job, and really came through to complete it to our lofty expectations. read more

I'm only giving one star because the material itself was great. The guy that did our template for our countertops measured wrong and only half of my notch was able to be done. The installers flooded my bathroom because the water wasn't off when they took the pipes apart. They knocked several holes in my walls and left without mentioning any of them. After a SIX HOUR install, I still had no water to my sinks and only half of the kitchen done. My stuff wet and laying everywhere and holes in walls in every room they worked in. read more

I have spent a total of over 13,000 at this store. I bought granite in excess of over 6,000, tile in excess of over 1200.00. I paid 2099.00 for a Cabinet that I don't have in my kitchen. The employee Jay is who ordered said Cabinet. The gentleman that came to measure for my granite also took measurements for the cabinet and he also took a picture of where it was to go. I also made a special trip to Lowe's to get Jay a copy of the measurements for the Microwave and template that I paid over 500.00 for, and took them to him the next day. He said it would be five weeks for the cabinet to come in(ordered on July 20,2020). I never heard anything after the five weeks had come and gone, so I called and spoke to Ruby who said it was scheduled to be in October 10, but it actually came in on the 12th. I also furnished Jay a photo of what I wanted. To try and finish this up, the cabinet was the wrong size, not the four drawers I wanted but three with about ten inches of wasted space above the where the microwave was supposed to be. The owner requires you to pay in full, Don't buy here because they won't make it RIGHT. read more

After purchasing tile, granite counter tops and wood flooring from American Carpets, I can truthfully say I was most pleased. We had used them in the past and while there were no issues with the product, the installer did a very poor job - uneven tile, plug cutouts that were not fit to the opening, sloppy job with shoe mold, etc.. This time, however, we are very happy with the way the bathrooms look and the wood floors could not be more beautiful. Jennifer was so helpful in planning contrasting and complementary products and was ready to answer any question I had during the process. Don Williams, the owner, was also very professional, giving expert advise regarding the usability of various products in areas where we were remodeling. Through all of this, I can say, though, the installer really does make the difference - Lee Hamilton Flooring was very professional and deliberate in the installation of the tile and the hardwood. You can have a great product but if the people who are installing the tile and floors don't pay attention to detail, the end result will disappoint. 3000 square feet of tile and flooring takes a while, but the stunning design and products have made the wait worthwhile. read more

This is my third visit to American Carpets. I have used them all three times to purchase area rugs. The two times I purchased rugs from remnants, the sales associate was very knowledgeable about what kind of carpet was on each roll and pointed out which rolls were closest to the size I needed, so I wouldn't have to over pay for carpet not used. Shane was very helpful and patient, as the first carpet I purchased (already bound and with cloth backing) was not the right color, and he credited my account immediately upon return. Understanding that I could not return a carpet that had to be custom cut and bound, Shane was more than happy to give me time enough to take pictures of the carpet I was considering and go home to make sure it was right. So far, we have had nothing but professional, courteous service. As for pushy sales, I think it is refreshing to have a knowledgeable sales associate approach me and ask if I need help. I am quite frankly sick of going to big stores where no one ever helps you unless you are ready to check out; even then, its like pulling teeth to find someone to take your money. Way to go Shane for being heads and shoulders above that crowd! That being said, I cannot give 5 stars because I have never used this company for installing carpet or anything else. I have to say though, the reviews I've read, I might not use them for a big installation job, and my husband is a builder. Too bad a company is only as good as the contractors it hires! read more

I used American Flooring to put in new cabinets, bamboo and tile floors in my whole home. It was a mess from the very start. My tile floors were left with grout and a hazy film on them that will not come off. My bamboo floors do not go all the way to the wall in some spots which expose the concrete and padding underneath. They did not deliver nor install all of my cabinets. The cabinets that were installed are not custom as I was lead to believe. There are gaps between the walls gaps between the molding and cabinets. They did not install all the kick plates, or the backing and trim to my bar or island. There are no handles on any of my cabinets. After trying for 5 months to get them out to fix and Finnish the job I gave up and counted it as a lesson learned. Now almost 2 years later after no hearing a word from them they want to try to sue me not giving them their final payment. Even though they never came for a final walk through on the house, never returned my calls, never mailed me an invoice of any kind, no a temp to fix what was wrong at all. read more

My granite countertop purchase and installation was not a good experience. The granite slab I selected did not have the "cut" I selected ie the grain was not cut to specification. The installers showed up late at end of day. The new s/s sink to be installed which they brought was dented and damaged, so we had to reschedule for another day. On installation, the joining edges the granite were not even ie one edge raised above the meeting edge of the adjoining piece of granite, In short, I wouldn't use American Flooring again. read more

We had the floors redone throughout our new home by American Flooring- BIG mistake! The installers were not considerate of our newly painted walls and we ended up with dirty hand prints all down them and black marks on our doors. They managed to scrape the paint off our doors, some doorways, and even put a hole in one of the walls. They did not complete the quarter-round molding along the base boards where laminate was installed, left the tack strips accessible for stepping on through entrances of carpeted rooms, and did not even install the laminate correctly in the living room- it was like a trampoline and bounced up and down when stepping on it. When I called to complain about this it took him two days to come and DO NOTHING about it. I was on the phone for days trying to get someone to come fix my floors--- this has delayed our moving in to our new home. When I called to speak to the owner, he was nice but got the installer manager on the phone and he lied about his knowledge of said issues and that some of the things had been resolved.
