Visited the sales office and looked at pieces of quartz- the experience was good so we called them back to ask them to come to our home to template for a more accurate price. After I received the call from the guy in the picture- I gave him permission to go into my home since my contractor was there working. I asked him to call me when he was leaving and he did not. In the meantime, we shopped around and decided we weren't going to use them and stick with a different local business, but about a week later, as we were going through our inventory, we noticed one of our sinks was missing. So now, we panicked thinking of how it could've gone missing. We called the contractor and reviewed our cameras and saw this! Was this a tactic to have to go to the business or call back? How unscrupulous is this!?! My husband went there are said to the sales rep- your guy went to my house and left with something that didn't belong to him. The salesman was just as surprised as us as he was wondering why he would take our sink. It wasn't until my husband showed the surveillance video/pictures that everyone's memory was jogged as to what happened with our sink. We had a vessel sink and they only took the sink without the drain piece so why take something that doesn't belong to you? This is crooked! The owner never even called to personally apologize. Is that common practice idk- but either way- you don't take something that doesn't belong to you without the homeowner knowing. Stay away and don't give them a deposit. Read other reviews. read more

I'm surprised to see so many negatives. I know many ppl use American Granite and I've heard nothing but good things - I guess the ppl who are unhappy are going to make a point to comment. My experience was excellent. Customer service was very good, they did a great job cutting and installing the countertop and the stone is absolutely beautiful 3 years later. No complaints. I don't know where to start. First off I would never use them again or would I recommend them to anyone. It was a nightmare of an experience. The pictures will tell the story. You would have thought a blind man cut the slabs. We put in a new kitchen that was ripped down to the studs. Carlos had to have his guys come back numerous times to fixed botched work They damaged brand new walls as well as my brand new cabinets. Had to have my Plummer and electrician make 2 trips because the holes that were drilled were not accurate to run plumbing and electric. Then they had a huge chunk missing near the window that they had to fill in with filler from day one that has a yellow tint to it. They wanted to use caulking to his horrific cuts. They cut the kitchen sink crooked which is unheard of. The caulking turned brown after a few months because it was separating. If Carlos wants to make this better I believe I deserve some money back. At the end of the day you will see from my pictures. Stay far away. read more

HORRIBLE! Over sell and under deliver. Shoddy sloppy work, no shows, excuses, Kevin who "claims" to be a designer is only skilled at making excuses. Job left unfinished, any and all attempts for communication were ignored, American Granite owner, and so called manager Kevin have been non-responsive and abandoned a job. Their mess needs to be removed and replaced. Others who we have spoken who currently are using this company are also experiencing the same non-responsive behavior. We had been searching for a special quartzite for months. We started our journey at American, and months later selected them. We put a down payment on two slabs, the only two they had in stock. The cabinets were installed and the template was made. We went to the yard to approve and place the templates and found out that they cut half of one of the slabs. The templates didn't fit within the remaining slabs. Carlos the owner could care less. He said we could make it fit somehow. It took us over two months to find these pieces and they cut them after the took our money. I canceled the order and it put my kitchen renovation 3 weeks behind and we paid threw the nose with the next company because we were stuck. Funny I was warned by two people not to use them. I've used American Granite Design on 2 houses already and I'm a fan. They have a pretty big yard full of pallets at good prices, better than Home Depot by far. I dealt with Carlos Guzman (Owner) at the time in 2010, and I'm planning on going back again for a 3rd house now, 2016. NOTE, they are located in Freehold and traveled down to Ventnor, NJ at no extra charge for my job. It was a standard kitchen @ 34 ft2. I will use these guys again. read more

If there was a option below 1 star i would definitely choose that!! they have no customer service, not organized.. don't pay them up front or they will never return if they made a mistake. they will make appointment to come, and at the last second they will cancel on you. they have no appreciation of your time at all. the owner doesn't even care to listen to mess ups or apologize for their mistakes. please do your research before going to them!! there are plenty of other businesses.. please go somewhere they will appreciate you! your time! and business!!! read more

Unfortunately I used this company to install my kitchen countertop. Carlos was very unprofessional, did not return my calls or texts. The granite was not delivered when stated. The installation was very poor. All of my seams were very visible and the grout in between them have cracked. This coutertop was installed in June 2012. read more

BEWARE!!!!!! I would advise not to use this company. I would of gave no stars but had to pick one to write a review. I had my granite installed in the summer of 2014 and was unhappy. The product, which they claimed was exotic, is horrendous. Not what I wanted!!! What was suppose to be grey and white has brown rusty spots that do no belong. Also, was supposedly sealed by then installers, yet when I place anything on it, it stains. They also damaged my wall installing it. I called the second day of installation to complain about the product, installation, and damage they did. It is now Jan 2015 and all I get is the run around. Someone will call after a complaint was filled at the BBB. Then promise of fixing it, and no one comes. It is now the third time my case with bbb and still no results. I feel robbed of thousands of dollars!!! Horrible customer service. Lots of no calls and o shows to fix the issues. read more

I'm quite disappointed in the granite that we purchased in November of 2015. For several reasons.: Reason number one the sales person ( since been fired) indicated that the stone as it appears in the warehouse has dust on it and the granite would be polished . After the stone was installed we noticed it had a film on it , several areas needed to be filled in and tape strap marks were still visible. The granite never-acquired a nice smooth surface. Reason number two they took incorrect measurements for the backsplash. They cut it to short and then suggested that we use caulking in between tile and top of backsplash . We informed him we were not satisfied and asked them to remove it and adjust the bill. We contacted the owner and informed him we were still displeased with the results. Once again they came to the house to try and rectify with no success. Carlos came to inspect the granite his response was that this is what we purchased. He used an analogy " it's like buying a dress" . Really a poor comparison, dresses can be returned. We were also to,d to polish it use "lemon Pledge ". He suggested to come down to the warehouse and pick a new granite and we could have it for fifty percent of his cost. Now he wants us to pay an additional cost on top of what we initially paid. My husband and I are very displeased with the service we received. My kitchen is at a stand still until this is resolved. I do believe in supporting your local merchants, but not in this case.
