Very clean and well-run hotel. Beds are good quality and sheets are soft and comfortable. This is a basic hotel and the price reflects it. However, they don't scrimp on cleanliness and quality of rooms. The manager is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is sparse, but there is something for everyone. Forget about the pre-fab eggs, bacon and potatoes. They don't serve a hot breakfast which is just fine as that stuff tends to be gross. We loved our recent stay. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Our room also had a refrigerator and microwave. We stayed there for two nights after picking up our son from the PCT trail. (He resupplied in Ridgecrest before continuing his hike.). The owner of the Inn washed our son's clothes and was very supportive to the PCT hikers. Continental breakfast was great and it included delicious freshly fried eggs and toast. Very disappointed in my stay. I reserved the room because of the local air show that was coming to town. This hotel is only a few years old, so I thought it would be nice etc. I was wrong. The problem started the second we checked in. We went up to go to our room and it had a do not disturb sign and was locked from the inside. The owner actually wanted us to go with him while he used his master key to check it out. Of course we refused. When the owner came back to the lobby they agreed someone was staying there. We were the assigned a different room. The room itself is ok, aside from the manic bathroom light. It is on a sensor that has malfunctioned so it turns on and off every 2 minutes. The door also looks to have been previously kicked in. I've included a picture of that. We were kept awake our final night because of loud people in the next room. The tv was full body all night, they were speaking loudly and banging on things that kept hitting the wall. We would have said something but the owner had previously stated he had a lot of family in from Pakistan. PAKISTAN! The continental breakfast is a gallon of orange juice sitting on a table and store bought pastries. That's it Please save yourselves the trouble, this is not worth the headache or expense. read more

When I found America Inn online, I was happy to find a "new" motel for a budget price. My first and last impression was ... this building is not new. I asked about it at the front desk. "We've only been open a few months!" they bragged (at New Year's 2015 - 16). Maybe it has new management or a new name or something, but there's no way this is a new building. The ceiling over the shower was mildewed and water-damaged. There are cracks in the stucco outside. That's not a big deal, but it belies the "new" claim. The first room I was assigned to was too far from the modem to get internet! I had to move to a different room closer to the lobby. It didn't have a desk, hangers, a bathroom countertop, a fridge / microwave, or an outlet for the computer. I walked out of my room at night, and then my card key didn't let me back in. I was locked out of the room in 30 degree weather! Fortunately, I reached security to let me in. I told management about it the next day and got a replacement card. They told me that sometimes the card keys don't work when the sun has been shining on the door. I would say that's a problem! Sheesh. You get what you pay for. It was a dive. read more

Other than that; Uncomfortable beds, TV that decides when it wants to work or not, and a dead bolt that almost locked us in the room when it stopped working. Avoid. I booked two rooms for our group and the rooms smelled. There was used soap in the shower, the toilet was not cleaned properly, there was a used q-tip on the table. Considering that this was in the middle of a pandemic, this hotel is definitely not following health and safety protocols if they are even cleaning the rooms. read more

Stayed here in 2016 for 3 wks and really liked the place. Everything looked new and service was excellent. Fast fwd to March 2017, this place has really gone downhill. Walls had food splatters and looked like blood on back of door, gross stuff on walls in bathroom. Looks like someone pried door, bottom lock did not work. Wifi is terrible connection. Walls are thin and people next door partied for 2 nights straight. My biggest complaint is my company paid for hotel in full 3 nights but they tried to charge me 20.00 extra for a dog (I don't have a problem paying this because other hotels charge) but I was told, "you can pay cash for that" when I asked for receipt I was told they couldn't put it in the system and give me a receipt. The guy at the front desk was extremely rude when we first arrived, he said his name was jack but he was an Indian guy with a thick accent but I doubt that's his real name. I called the front desk around 10pm asking about the wifi, jack told me he was sleeping and hung up on me twice. The wifi does not work here, there is no continental breakfast like they advertise and the toilets don't flush very well so plan to go down to the road to Carl's jr to use the restroom. Went back to office with no apologies waited another 10 minutes of silence as clerk was attempting to login on computer. Finally given another room but card key would not open the door. I was so grateful for the owners father to wait up for our late arrival. His Hospitality was excellent. The hotel is a budget hotel. It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was basic but again, when the owner's father saw us come in, he brought out fresh juice and cherries and extra chairs. Picked one star only because I couldn't give negative stars. Only reason I stayed here in the first place was every other place in town was booked and I had to be here these dates. That given, let me give you another insight. I stay in a hotel anywhere from 250 to 300 nights a year. I may have a bit of insight on this issue. Booked through Hotels.com and saw the Star Rating of 3.5. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! I arrived and when checking in was overwhelmed by the odor of what I would describe as horse piss but others may describe as curry. Mind you, I had no other options other than commuting to Lancaster, which I will do in the future. I then went to the room. Again, think Lancaster. The entire door knob facial piece moved when you turned the door knob. Once inside, you become aware that the door security device is broken, the beds are shit, the A/C doesn't work properly and oh by the way, the whole room smells like someone's been fucking a goat while on Viagra. By now I have accepted my fate and (try) to turn to alcohol to make it all better. Think I can find an ice machine? Think again. I go to the office and wait for 15 minutes. What I hear is something ANYONE thinking of EVER doing business with these asshats should consider. Apparently, the gentleman in front of me was booked on his employers account which there was a problem with. I walked in to the hotel manager demanding some sort of payment which the lady on the phone gladly gave him, Credit card number, expiration date and 3 digit code, ALL OVER SPEAKER PHONE!!!!!!! THREE TIMES!!!!!! And he had her spell her entire name 3 times as well. NEVER, EVER STAY HERE!!!!!! I would sleep in a crib as a child with a child molester before I EVER stay here again!!!!! Love this place - little electrical plug on bedside lamp, nice. Bowed shower curtain rod to keep the curtain from trying to stick to you - great. Clean new room, nicely covered beds with 3 fluffy pillows stacked up. Modern TV with great channel selection. Sign on street is small, just next to Motel Six. read more

checked into this hotel for a 3 night stay. the first night we had hot water. the second night no hot water but was promised it would be fixed the next day. complained and asked for refund and was told there was no refund allowed. third night still no hot water had to call expedia to get $50 refunded. to top it all off the room stunk, only a few channels on the TV, WiFi didn't work and there was hair on towels/bedding. do not waste your money on this hotel, even for the price. both men in the front lobby are rude and their continental breakfast consisted of prepackaged honey buns and some orange juice. read more

Not a pleasant experience. First of all the front desk was not happy that Expedia didn't mesh with their system in a way that my name was correct, next was the fact I have dogs (service dogs) she was very angry about it and lastly she yelled at me when I misunderstood which badly printed receipt was mine (not cool). When we got checked in I asked about breakfast and was told, "NO BREAKFAST!" Yet breakfast is clearly advertised on the building, we went in the morning and there was a meager breakfast of old coffee, cold water in hot water container and various honey buns and sweet, cheap, pastries. Still the place was decently clean, so we stayed. There are NO Carbon Monoxide detectors in the rooms ( health code violation), there was no fire extinguishers outside any of the rooms on our side of the complex (health code violation), and there had been extensive flooding and instead of pulling the drywall it was painted over and the paint was peeling. All and all, I will never come back to this place. read more
