I went there two years ago. Bought over a thousand dollars worth of package. It was hard to call in and make an appointment because they never return your phone call. Maybe they will in 3 days or a week, but that's really unacceptable follow-up time frame! Anyway, after I made a cancellation on one of the appointments because of conflict, they didn't call back to re-book an appointment for me. They just didn't call me for almost 2 years. They took the money and just didn't care if you came back. I knew my package wouldn't run out, and I didn't need the service at the time, so I didn't get in touch with them either.. So this year, I called back because I need the service, I had called them 5 times, left them 3 messages, and it took them a span of 3 days to get back to me. I was so upset! I didn't even know if their business was still working or not, since it takes them so long! Anyway, this type of follow-up is not transparent, and judging them from a business standpoint, I would not come back after this package runs out. Again, they cancelled my appointment which I made a month ago. They called me the night before and said that they don't have enough technicians to cover the morning and said they have to cancel my appointment. Why me? she said the girl suppose to take your appointment will be out tomorrow. I really can not accept this kind service anymore. Anyway, I have to ask for another appointment. Anyway, I came in 10 mins earlier to wait for my appointment and the technician walked back and forth doing her thing and did not even say Hi or anything when she saw me came in to the office. She let me wait till 15 mins after the appointment time before she called me in and did not even say a thing about anything. I came to the North Andover American Laser throughout the year last year. A little weird sharing reviews for hair removal, but I was really pleased with the results so I felt like I should share about it. The people that work here are great, very professional and extremely nice! I started seeing results after only a few treatments and now the hair is almost completely gone! It's like magic! Just wanted to share my wonderful experience at ALC in North Andover, i have been a client there now for a few months, they are the most professional staff, they are young and energetic. two girls there, Nicole and Jessica, love them. They know exactly what needed to be done as they talked to me and evulated my skin. i absolutly love going there and feel wonderful when i leave. There technique is fantastic and clients always come first, as i found out when they stayed late one night on a very snowing evening to accomidate me. very very please customer, will be there for a long time. The staff was nice, but don't ever expect to have any privacy, ever. There are constantly people knocking on the door in the middle of your treatment. I had my bikini area done which was uncomfortable to begin with, and there would always be someone at the door. Extremely unprofessional. They would also discuss my appointments in front of other clients. The management there leaves something to be disired. I would never go back. read more

Very unprofessional atmosphere. You have ZERO privacy. In the middle of my laser sessions there would be knocks on the door or the door opening, which is the last thing you want when you are half naked. They also discuss things in front of other clients that should be kept confidential. There is a spare office to be used for that, but I was never brought into it to discuss anything. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Where do I start? Ok, DO NOT GO HERE! I got scammed into buying over FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS worth of treatment supposedly worth over 10,000 dollars about 3 1/2 years ago. I was told the hair would be GONE, I repeat, 100% GONE, in 6-8 treatments; the sales woman (who was fired for her horrid customer service and lying to customers about results to con them into spending more, as told by MANY of the technicians) said normally it takes 4-6 treatments ONLY to get rid of the hair, but because my hair was darker it would take 6-8 treatments. Not bad right? Ok, fine. After about 3 treatments on my legs, arms and bikini area I saw amazing results, the hair really was disappearing. Then, it stopped. I remained at about 50% hair growth as opposed to the 100% I was promised, or even 75%. Why? It was never explained, and when I asked I was rudely shut down for questioning the company. I got appointments cancelled about 6 or 7 times, once while I was on my way to the appointment and just pulling into the parking lot, and once when I was sitting there waiting after I had already rescheduled for them because the girl's 'babysitter could not handle her kids anymore and had to get home.' I was her last patient of the night and all she had to do were my arms. She was very VERY rude to me too when she told me to go home and didn't even reschedule me. Needless to say she ended up getting fired, again, told in detail by one of the technicians, but how much more unprofessional does it get? From cancelled appointments, to horrid customer service, to rudeness when you enter the door to check in, to inconsistent treatments, this place is just awful, and the laser does not work the way THEY SAY it will. I would have technicians take pictures of my areas, some of which are private, then some wouldn't, but the ones that would insisted it had to be done at every appointment... why? And why did they not all do that? They would ask how my previous treatment was and then 'write notes down' that were magically missing at the next treatment. I got burned so many times from technicians not properly lubricating my skin I have scars that are far from inconspicuous. And, to top it off, I was told I had an expiration date on the package I paid for; yet I heard others did not. 2 years from my last of the initial 6 treatments I had; that was news to me when I heard it. I am also one who has a high tolerance for pain, so I never complained and always asked them to crank up the laser since they said the more painful, the more effective it was. Still my results were 50% or less reduction. No one seemed to care. I was told 'we can work something out and get you more free treatments since it's not working' and that never happened. On my last appointment which was about 8 months ago, after being told I would have my 'file audited' to determine what I was eligible for for the THIRD TIME (twice by the same girl that 'kept forgetting') and would get called back once finished, I never heard from this place again. I really, really regret the time money I wasted on this service, especially at this place. I went through hours and hours of pain that is something I never experienced in my life but I sucked it up to make sure it worked as promised, and it did not. I really feel I am owed a refund but I know I wouldn't get anything, despite the horrific service and countless hours of pain I endured for 3 YEARS. Do not go here if you get laser hair removal, unless you want to be treated like you are subhuman, a waste of time, and an animal in need of endless branding. Can only imagine what they do with all the pictures they take of their patients, too. read more
