Large drink menu and very reasonably priced (considering it's downtown.) Perfect pre-game spot. Limited food menu so don't come for a real meal. Also came to a silent disco here in the past. Versatile venue downtown. Owners do a great job with the spot.

Iron Works is an ideal venue in a lot fo way- not too big, not too small, and the perfect place for an intimate experience with a band you enjoy. Most recently we saw Caligula Blushed for their first visit to Buffalo. My other half has been a fan of The Smiths since forever, but we have stopped seeing Morrissey in concert. This was the next best thing to seeing Johnny Marr in concert. Great show, good crowd, not too crowded, and people were actually there to see the show unlike when we saw Nick Lowe at Iron Works and some people would not stop talking!! Post-pandemic, but also anytime, I have to say how incredibly wonderful it is to get fresh air during a show. The garage style door by the stage was open letting in some natural night and lots of fresh air on a cool night, which is really perfect for a show. I'm over crowded, stuffy, hot, and dark. The opening leads to an adorable patio with lots of tables, chairs, and string lights. There's a platform with seating and a little balcony with seating. There are lots places to set your drink whole dancing as the platform and pillars all have ledges. There are two selve-serve water coolers, which is also great to see. I tried a summer cocktail - a Loganberry Dirty Shirley, which was super sweet but that's what it's designed to be. A Coke was $3 and the cocktail specials were $10. Mocktails are $8 and there are other n/a offerings as well, along side beer, liquor, and what have you. They have a garden burger and fries on the menu, in addition to other meat and cheese foods. Tickets to this show were $12, which is so reasonable for a night out. This is more fun than going to the movies and should definitely be a go to if you want to get out of the house. Fresh air, water, seating...all this sets Iron Works apart. If you haven't been, go, and of it's been awhile, go back. My other half was reluctant to go out but was so glad he did.

I could not judge the space as a concert hall. My estimate is a capacity of 400-500 chairs, in rows of 14 the floor, plus the balcony. I was there to see Judy Collins, who still has a wonderful voice. (She is 87). A friend asked why she was not performing in the Mary Seton room at Kleinhans Music Hall. I think the acoustics are better here, as are the slightly padded chairs. It is certainly more intimate.

We parked right across from the venue. The venue is located in a refurbished church and the highlight for me was seeing all the fixtures including pews and glass stained windows still in tact. Getting in was easy they just checked our ids and scanned our tickets. Short walk from the entrance to the actual music area. There is a floor standing room area you can watch the music, as well as two elevated seating areas. The seats were pews and very roomy. It was nice to be able to sit and enjoy the show free from the crowds. The sound quality was mostly good but at times I found it was very loud and hard to hear what the musician was saying. Didn't get any drinks or use the bathroom, so I can't comment on this aspect. Overall, I thought this was a great venue.

The food was good. However, they did not replenish the food quickly at all and seemed a bit out of sorts. I had a romaine leaf in a champagne flute with some very good Caesar dressing for a salad. A Nice beef carving station. Pasta that I could not eat as it wasnt gluten free but they did have things marked very nicely.Gluten free which I really appreciate. There is no potato or vegetable offering. So I just had a lettuce leaf and 2 thin slices of beef (ebough for a slider sammie), a small scoop of goat cheese topped with some beets which was super yummy but no crackers or anything with it. Andd could not eat the dessert. The bartenders were super nice and took very good care of us. I would say go and try it and ask about where to park if u plan on a med sized event. And make sure there is enough food and ask about dietary restrictions.

The space is set up and decorated beautifully! So many different spots to take pictures or just hang out. And then the actual banquet area was very spacious and looked very elegant with the string lights, tablecloths and cloth napkins. Everyone who walked in couldn't believe how great the space was. The food was also fantastic! We just had a regular dinner buffet with baked chicken, roast beef and sides, but everything was very tasty! The star of the meal was the chef selection of mini desserts! Everyone raved about it and everything was absolutely delicious! I could have eaten those lemon bars all weekend. The thing that put everything over the top was the courtyard. Everyone did not see it as soon as they came in but once they did venture outside, no one wanted to come back in. Good thing the program part of the banquet was already over. We took wonderful pictures. The fire pit was lit, and everyone just wanted to stay for as long as possible. I only wish we could have stayed past 10. The only downside was the A/V. But i think if you are bringing your own speakers and things, it would be fine. All in all, I would absolutely, unquestionably refer this space to anyone looking to have an event. We had around 120 people, and we were in the larger room, but even the smaller room looked great when I peeked in.
