I come yearly from the Twin Cities. I stay at the Radisson hotel on the river. I get a Riverside room and I watch the fireworks from my room. The Rotary Light is located at Riverside Park. You can drive thru, walk through or take a horse carriage for $25 +tip. They have many photo opportunity spots, they have a warming house, multiple fire pits, an ice skating rink. I have also seen Santa & Reindeer there. This event goes on from Thanksgiving until NYE at 1 am. This is a great winter activity.

It was really fun to turn on the radio and see the lights dance along with the music. This is a great time for kids and adults alike. Santa is there and a living nativity, all it costs is a donation of canned food - it's for a grate cause. Take the time to enjoy the lights and donate to a good cause - yes the lines can be kind of long but it's worth it.

It will take you about an hour to check everything out, maybe a bit more if you do the scavenger hunt, which I did alongside my kiddo. The interactive exhibits were great as well, and they do a great job of teaching you about environmental issues plaguing our water systems and use art to do it in a way that conveys a great message. We arrived about an hour before closing and despite having to visit at a fast clip, I'm so glad we added this to our agenda. Most of the rooms contain visiting exhibits, and my favorites this time included the up-cycled plastic art and the large canvas from the 19th century depicting whaling that is visiting. If you're in Winona, this museum is a must-add to your places to visit list!

Drunken people, litter, loud house parties and traffic. The fest puts a burden on law enforcement and the city employees that have to clean up all of the litter. In addition, people are urinating in alleys and parking lots. The fest should be moved out of the city and held at the La crosse County fairgrounds or somewhere else in La Crosse County.

We were able to pick our seats and reserve them ahead of time and the seats?? Wow. They were recliner seats and very comfy. Could almost lay flat to watch the movie. I almost fell asleep. What I liked most about this place was the staff, including the management, was busy with broom and dustpan cleaning the floor. Saw someone spill popcorn and they were there instantly to clean it up. Now I'd say that's pride in your place of work. Then again maybe it's job protection. lol Will definitely be going back.
