I came here Tuesday for the (free) weekly "world tavern poker" games, first one at 6:30pm. It's a…read morefriendly fast-paced group of 3 or 4 tables of six to eight. I finished "in the points" this time! It's held in the hall that you get to through the small bar. You get to the bar through a door with the Canteen sign above it off the parking lot. It's a very low-key place, with some VFW memorabilia. As a non-member, I signed in by the door. The decor is old and homey. There's around a dozen seats at the small bar, but i dont recall if there were any tables. There are some kind of lottery or scratch-off ticket machines, and a tv. The bartender keeps things moving, and there's a simple menu, hot dogs, pizza, cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets and fingers, a philly cheese steak, fries, and more. The burger was hot and juicy, and i think it may have been microwaved. Tasted fine. The fries were pretty good and piping hot. The people all seemed friendly and relaxed. If your at all cool, you wont find much for you here, but if you're just a regular person, this seems like a nice place for a quiet drink and some regular food.

As a Legion member, I visit Post 166 whenever I come to Ocean City. It is a veteran's service…read moreorganization, so it's generally not open to the public - although a member can sign in a guest, and members of other veterans service organizations have access. The post was remodeled about three years ago, and the ground floor members lounge is very nice. They have cooks on staff and have daily specials in addition to a regular menu. The food is always good here, and the service is good. And since it's a member's organization, the prices are very reasonable. Nice post, and nice people.

Always ask for the specials because they are creative and delicious! Wednesday is wing night, Thursday is tacos and steak specials Friday and Saturday! Only improvement that could be made would be live entertainment more often. Band nights are great but only happen once or twice a month. Bingo would be fun or live music on the deck in the summer. Overall, it's a fantastic legion to join if you are able. We will be spending many more evenings here!

They have daily and weekly numbers for members which is a chance to win money! They have a full kitchen and bar. Lots of different drinks! The food selection is good and the food is even better! My personal favorite is the fried pickles! Also have weekly activities ie; Bingo, Karaoke, live bands, pool table leagues, open mic nights and so much more! Highly recommended you to check out a social membership and to check this place out when your in town! The restaurant and some special events are open to the public! (No membership needed) Note; this place is cash only and it's a non-smoking place!

She arrived apologetically, however a call to the host would have been nice and since now we are almost 30 mins in to our 3 hr set up time, you'd think she would have offered to assist. Outside of that. It is a wonderful venue so long as you bring enough decorations to transform it into your own event. They are not strict, and allow access to kitchen amenities. I'd recommend it for sure.
