I did so much research on line and in person in buying a new mattress, one of the hardest purchases (over a car I think?). US Mattress customer service was helpful, great actually, Mike in sales and Kathleen in returns, not pushy, in fact, had more of a homespun local slant than some local stores. They were both super quick and personal in responding to emails (as though I was their only customer). Their prices are competitive. They have an excellent return policy. Sadly I ended up returning my mattress and getting one they do not carry, BUT I would highly recommend working with this company. Don't waste your money on an expensive mattress. I should have listened to all the articles that said the same. I initially chose to buy from US-Mattress because of their 100-day trial period on a mattress but, unfortunately, I chose poorly both times. Patrick led me to a Vi-Spring mattress - organic, no fire-retardant or other chemicals to out-gas - which is what I wanted (as I'm chemically-sensitive). He ordered the wrong mattress, initially, ordering what another couple was lying on, but got that corrected a few days later when I looked more closely at the invoice. Brad corrected that. However, Vi-Spring's "soft" was still too firm for me and hadn't had a good night's sleep since I got it although it, initially, felt great in the store. My last mattress had no support left so anything would have felt better, I guess. In explaining to Brad what I liked about my old mattress (a plush pillow-top), he led me to one which, also, didn't work out - a Simmons Beautyrest Black. After a year, I gave it away; too hard, as well. At only 125#, I don't sink into a memory-foam mattress. I'm happier with my $800 Serta from Art Van than I was with either of the other ridiculously-expensive mattresses from US Mattress. (Read later that memory foam mattresses aren't as good for you as they're cracked up to be.) It was nice working with Brad, however, but less so with Donna who wasn't as good about returning phone calls. We ordered our mattress on December 29, 2017. It is February 11 and we are still without said mattress. Every time we've called to find out the status of our mattress, we've been told a different day. We will call again tomorrow, but last week were told wed, then on wed were told Thursday and on Thursday were told Monday. Our initial estimated delivery was January 16-21, 2018. We were called to schedule delivery and given the date of February 1, 2018. I took time off of work to be here only to be told that the mattress was damaged. Clearly we are very displeased. First off let me start off by saying the customer service and everybody I engaged with are top of the line!!! So, why the 2 star review then?! I had a Spring Air back supporter for close to 12 years that I loved, the only place that seems to still carry this mattress product is US MATTRESS. So, yes I am at the mercy like all of you to studying the videos and trying to figure out just which one would fit my comfort level, because if you order the wrong one, you are in trouble. When my new mattress arrived after a couple of weeks waiting for it, I quickly realized this was not the mattress for me, way WAY TOO SOFT. So, this is where they get props, they waived the 30 day sleep on it trial bases and are letting me return it and have been amazingly courteous and professional, but the reality of the situation is I'm back to sleeping on garbage while you can bet my wait time to get a new replacement will be another couple of weeks. The MOST frustrating part about this situation is I picked out a Stearns and Foster and was able to lay on it at a mattress store around the corner from my house and it's amazing, but while I have to wait for US MATTRESS to process my return which the customer service lady told me takes 3-5 days combine that with the whole delivery process which can take an extra 2-3 weeks, from the moment I picked out and purchased a mattress to the time I'm finally gonna get to enjoy it 2 months may have gone by, and while I was laying on the mattress at the mattress store around the corner making sure I wanted the Stearns and Foster mattress, the salesman came up to me and said "I can get that delivered to your house tomorrow" I literally wanted to cry. The company they use for delivery (MDX Group) is atrocious and US-Mattress refuses to do anything about it because I'm assuming their crappy delivery is so cheap. We have had inclement weather here in Boston but what we just experienced on Friday was not nearly as bad as any winter storm. Heavy winds, rain and some coastal flooding. But our house is nowhere near the coast nor is there any flooding within the area or obstructed paths and today is not a bad weather day. The facility where this company is located (Avon, MA) is nowhere near the coast & right next to an easy access highway & I'm 25 minutes away... Upon further research everything is all clear around there area, my area & plenty of area in between. My delivery is (was...) scheduled in a couple of hours from now. I've not once got a phone call from the company, I felt worried about not receiving their "courtesy call" to make sure delivery was set & on the way today. So I had to reach out & call. I was told that my delivery will, in fact, be rescheduled. I was then told I cannot be transferred to anyone to setup the reschedule of the delivery and that I will just have to wait until they call me back. Which they say can take up to 48 hours. I luckily just got off the phone with someome higher up after recalling about rescheduling but was told that the next earliest delivery they could do was Thursday, March 15th... 2 weeks out from my already late 1-2 week delivery window. For an item that was suppose to be shipped within 1-2 weeks now takes 4-6 weeks because of some rain and wind from the 1 previous day before is absolutely absurd. How does a shipping company like this functions day to day and survive year in and year out is baffling to me. The customer service is so poor and the courtesy calls are non-existent and the rescheduling times make absolutely no sense. If possible stay away from this delivery service. US-Mattress uses them as their service and it's about time they sever ties with a company that makes them look this piss poor. I came here for a mattress because I heard good things. The in store experience was good. I ordered my mattress and was told it would arrive in three weeks. Three weeks went by and I called and they said it was delayed two weeks because of COVID. Nobody informed me of this, but I continued the process. Two weeks later, I was told the mattress was going to still be delayed, but I continued. About two weeks after this I called to schedule delivery because they said they received the mattress and they said I would not get it until September. I first came to the store beginning of July. After all the communication there was, the business failed to inform me multiple times about the situation when I needed this mattress by the beginning of August and I was told I would get it by then. read more

I bought 3 mattresses with US mattress before here in Michigan and this time I though I was getting the same Beautyrest Recharche Kenosha Place ll luxury firm, like I order 2 times previously. But, this time got it with pillow top which is too soft and is killing my back, I slept on this awful bending mattress two night and i am in terrible pain. I am a good client that ordered the same mattress before and I was sure that I was getting the same exact one. We went there to shop a new mattress this Saturday. This store is brand new. Very nice and clean. Easy to access. The gentleman, Brad, did an excellent job. He spend time talking to us to understand our needs, answering our questions objectively, and giving the recommendation not based on the price, but based on meeting our specific needs. Buyer Beware: Shipping Issues. I live in Los Angeles, and I needed a mattress company that would deliver and remove my old mattress, as the mattresses are far too heavy for me to move (and get up flights of stairs) by myself. I ordered a mattress from this website, only to discover, after purchasing, that they don't actually keep the mattresses in stock--they are just an intermediary. So they send an order to the mattress maker (Serta or Beauty Rest or whatever), and then the mattress gets made before sending to you. Which means it can be 3-4 weeks before you get your mattress. THEN, I tried to arrange a delivery window through US-Mattress, only to discover that they subcontracted out to another company for delivery, Pilot Freight. When I contacted Pilot Freight about delivery, they told me that, actually, they can't do "premier deliveries," so they sub-contracted out to a THIRD delivery company in my area, called Guido. It soon became clear that none of these companies were in proper communication with each other. Pilot seemed quite confused about my order, and when I talked to them on the phone they seemed unaware of both what I was shipping and when it would be arriving. They used too much company jargon on the customer service helpline, and I kept having to ask them what the heck they were talking about. "Well, the order ships from DTW..." "What's DTW?" "Our Detroit office..." You get the idea. As a teacher, I would give this company an F for communication and delivery. I'm sure the mattress will be fine, when I finally get it. read more

The initial purchase process was just fine. When the initial mattress did not meet my expectations I initiated a return form. It then took 7 weeks to get me a replacement mattress. My credit card was charge one week into the process and then the replacement mattress finally showed up a month and a half later. I am used too the Amazon experience. My wife and I just concluded our first purchase with US Mattress. Things did not go smoothly, but this was more a function of the trucking/delivery company's inefficiency than it was of any failing on the part of US Mattress. A call to the supplied customer support number put me in touch with US Mattress Customer Care Specialist, Tomah Banker, who was both professional and of great assistance in getting things ultimately resolved. (This required a replacement mattress, since the first was badly damaged in transit leading us to refuse delivery.) While the overall transaction took way more time to conclude than expected, the end result is that we now have our new Serta iSeries mattress, bed frame, and promotional "Comfort Set" (2 nice king pillows and a mattress cover), all in excellent shape. "White Glove" delivery meant everything was installed for us, and our old mattress and all packaging materials were removed. The Memorial Day pricing was very reasonable, and we believe this was a good value. Obviously, it would have been optimal had everything gone without a hitch; but, under the circumstances, US Mattress--thanks largely to the excellence of Ms. Banker--came through for us. We'd deal with this company again without hesitation given our overall satisfaction with this first experience. read more

I purchased a mattress from US Mattress in 2011. It was a mattress bought on special, but then aren't all mattress seemingly sold 50% off. The sealy mattress we purchased was a nightmare. It became misshapen on the back and front, and a huge hole 2.5" cavity developed on the side I sleep on. In 2015, when looking to replace the $1000 mattress I contacted sealy for recommendations for an alternative. It was our 10th Sealy bed, first problem. Sealy recommended that I work with US mattress to have a warranty replacement. It took a while and multiple calls but our bed was replaced with a comparable model to the one we have purchased, an improved model, but the same model equivalent in sealy's line. The new bed is a dream, the most comfortable bed I have slept on. US Mattress honored their warranty, with encouragement or prodding from me, but they honored the warranty. It was not the perfect experience but they did the right thing in the end. read more

I have mixed feelings about US-Mattress.Com. Ultimately, I am giving them four out of five stars because I received a comfortable mattress, paid a reasonable price, and had professional delivery. They lose a star because the order was placed at the end of April and I finally got the correct mattress delivered on June 11. From what I can determine, US-Mattress.com takes phone/internet orders and then has the mattress drop shipped from the manufacturer. They use an independent vendor(s) for the delivery. So, if problems exist with the product or delivery, it's not really their fault. As such, my review is based solely on their customer service. As with many companies, US Mattress has some great employees, but they also have their share of ones that seem to do the minimum required to keep their job. To keep it positive, I will only comment on the two shining stars Jessica J. and Valerie P. as they both really went up and above to help me and provide superior customer service. They carefully listened while I explained the problems, understood what I was saying, and took the required action to resolve the issues. I ordered a Full-XL mattress. The first one was mislabeled by Sealy; it was actually a standard full and 5" shorter than what I had ordered. I refused delivery, wrote the reason on the delivery receipt, spoke with the delivery service as well as US-Mattress.com. Unfortunately, US-Mattress would not re-order the mattress immediately so that I could get the correct mattress more quickly. They had to file a warranty claim with Sealy. That involved waiting for the delivery service to take and forward photos of the law tag and the actual mattress dimensions. Then, they had to wait for Sealy to approve the claim. When the re-order was finally entered into their system, I realized that the warranty rep only ordered a new mattress and not the matching foundation (boxspring). It was clearly a misunderstanding, but an astute employee would have realized or asked questions. When I called to get this straightened out, Valerie was patient and empathetic. She understood my frustration. She got her supervisor involved to get the order corrected and processed. As a result of her actions, my stress level and anxiety went back to normal and I could actually sleep through the night. Jessica was also nice and competent. She investigated, followed up timely, and offered solutions. She resolved an issue with the mattress protector being shipped to an address where I was not yet living. In the overall scheme of things, this was a minor issue, but she was determined to take the action that provided the best customer service. I am thankful to both Jessica and Valerie for their professionalism and helpfulness. read more

So i was in the market for a new mattress. I've pretty much destroyed 2 beds in the past 5 years. I'm 6'4 350lbs I figured it was time to spend some money on a good mattress. In the past i had a POS memory foam mattress from Sleepy's and I bought a cheaper inner spring from a local place. I found a very nice mattress in a Sears showroom, a Beauty Rest Hybrid. I tried it out and it felt pretty good. You really can't tell how a mattress will feel until you actually sleep on it. I did some research to find the best price and stumbled upon US Mattress. They had a really good price, pretty much they beat Sears sale price. I ordered my mattress and a bed frame, 2 box springs and some pillows. In about 2 weeks my mattress was done and they were shipping it out. The pillows came in only a few days from when i ordered it. US mattress uses an outside vendor to deliver to my area, Philadelphia. When the guys started to put the frame together they told me is was for a Queen and not a king. I asked them what do I need to to do, so they told me to call US Mattress. I called spoke to a nice woman by the name of Lynette. She gave me my options, since i didn't want to miss another day or work, she offered to ship the frame UPS. She also helped me out since I would have to put it together myself. So far the mattress is pretty nice, it's firm and I mean really firm. So far my experience has been awesome. It's nice to know there are still good people that work for good companies. I wouldn't hesitate to order another bed or piece of furniture from there. They also offer a 100 night guarantee, which I may have to take them up on. Maybe I will get used to firmness of the bed. I purchased 2 mattresses from US Mattress, they where the Simmons Beautyrest Adda II. They first made your back feel real great, but because we are over 250 lbs, they started to sink down and it was hitting our spine. So I called to exchange and it was only 3 weeks, and they said it would $139.99 each to exchange so I could only afford to do one, so I asked which one is best for big people. They recommended Serta Perfect Sleeper Belltower II. It cost me another $300.00 with the $139.00. Now the first night on that one caused me so much pain, I had to go out and buy a mattress topper. I will never order from any mattress place especially US-Mattress, I will order from a local company. What I thought was a great deal, is costing me more than if I just went down the road. When I ordered the first one I had gone by the video..and it shows a large man on it..just not after a couple weeks. Very Unhappy, the bed I have now is too hard, and the one my brother has is too soft..we now have mattress toppers. I should have just kept my old one and bought these would have saved $2,000.00. Now we both have beds that we cannot sleep on without a topper. Plus they only let you exchange it once per bed. So only my brother could exchange it, but he says he;s not spending another dime to US-Mattress. So my husband and I purchased mattresses and box springs 5 years ago from u.s. mattress we were really happy with the sales associate who accompanied us but we definitely loved the product we went in yesterday to purchase a bed I knew exactly what I wanted when we walked in there and of course he showed me the most expensive mattress and box springs that there were but I told him that I did not want that I wanted the normal 11 12 in mattresses because part of it was I didn't want to spend the extra money for the deep pocket Sheetz he immediately got into a small bit of a disagreement with me and asked out of the mattresses that we were looking at and went to walmart.com trying to show me how much Sheets Were at Walmart... I have tried 3 times now to deal with US Mattress in getting orders correct. 11-26-16 ordered a Queen size mattress. Today the mattress was delivered and guess what it was a full size mattress. The customer service rep that I spoke to told me to take pictures. WHAT??? The order was refused, why would I take pictures? I wanted this situation resolved right away for it is already going on 5 weeks to get this mattress. I got no and I mean no satisfaction from the CS who answered the phone. The mattress is with the trucking company who US mattresses uses and they too are very rude to deal with. NXD out of Avon, MA. They should have read the order before they left to be sure it was correct. I say this is my 3rd time for I ordered two mattresses, the above order was for my son. My mattresses ordered when they came were tooo short. Yes too short. I ordered twin but could not understand why they were almost 5 inches shorter than a regular mattress. I sent these back to US mattress under their 100 day guarantee. Ordered two others, one came damaged. Again I refused the damaged one to try and get this resolved in a timely manner took over 6 weeks to get resolved. Again their trucking company could not find the damaged mattress and US Mattress would not send a new one till they got the damaged one back. That is my fault???
