This was our first time using professional movers. We couldn't have been happier with the entire experience! We literally just said goodbye to the guys about 30 minutes ago!! Jarron, Wesley and Rascoe (Walter) were an awesome team! From the very beginning and throughout the move, we were very pleased with American Moving and Storage. We worked with Dennis to estimate the needs for our move and get a bid. We were specifically looking for movers to take the large items and furniture, as we have the ability to move boxes ourselves. Dennis took the time to hear our needs and make a very competitive bid. We decided to go with AM&S due to their availability to move us on a Saturday and their reviews on Yelp. We received a confirmation call the day before and were pleasantly surprised when the team arrived a few minutes early! Jarron, Wesley and Rascoe were friendly, polite and funny. They followed us through the house quickly to survey the items to be moved and got to work immediately. We were astonished by how quickly and respectfully they treated our property. All of our furniture was wrapped and handled with care - despite the need to move many very heavy items down and up stairs. For anyone wondering - a "3 man" team for moving is the way to go - it keeps things moving quickly and the movers are able to handle/pack your items into the truck carefully! Additionally, my husband and I were very active in the moving process. We were motivated to keep our costs as low as possible. My husband helped in carrying many heavy items and I kept busy packing and unpacking wardrobe boxes; They supplied 5 to use during the move free of charge! Our active and quick participation resulted in the guys working their butts off and a VERY quick move! The truck was FILLED in 2 hours and emptied even faster. We ended up finishing in 4 hours - 2 hours under our bid of 6 hours! This saved us A LOT of money! We couldn't have done this without the guys understanding where we were coming from and working with us to meet the goal. We are so happy that Jarron, Wesley and Rascoe were game to get it done! These guys were really hustling and we couldn't have been more pleased! We are in our new house and the majority of the furniture is right where we want it. WHEW! Gil, Luis, David, Javier and Sean C showed up on time and ready to get started on our move yesterday. Very courteous, professional, and personable group of men who took the utmost care in moving all of our things, which included a baby grand piano, huge armoire that came down a flight of stairs, weight machine, multiple sofas, tables and a buffet and hutch. Our furniture was wrapped and placed expertly on a semi truck being taken to their storage lot to hold for 30 days until our new house is completed. Joe came out the day before to inventory all of our items as did two others whose names I can't remember that packed up some lamps, TV's, pictures, dishes and a Christmas tree that I didn't have boxes for. All men were very professional and courteous. Dan followed up with me on several occasions as our move in date changed and I found that we needed long term storage. He has been a big help. He even came out a second time to look at everything after I had sold a few things and then decided to add back in a few pieces of furniture that I did not get rid of. No problem! Being able to keep all of our things on the truck was a huge help both financially and from the standpoint of not having to have everything removed from a truck a second time and less chance that something would be damaged or lost. Dan also arranged for the storage of our piano inside their warehouse to avoid it being outdoors on the truck for 30 days. No problem. Communication with this company is excellent. I found this company on the Tom Martino website as well as Yelp reviews. I think you get what you pay for and I am glad that I located a company that had such rave reviews! This company far exceeded my expectations. I am sure that when we are finally settled in our new home at the end of this month that the group of men that arrive to unload our things will be as professional as the group that arrived yesterday. Wow, what a great experience we had with American Moving & Storage! On August 31st, Joe, Luis, Miguel and Tyler moved me and my mom, with our lifetimes' worth of belongings, from outside of Longmont to a house in town. They arrived right on schedule at the new house, picked up a fridge and washer to be switched with those at the old place, and spent the next 11 hours on the run - yes, they literally RAN all day long. Oh, except for ONLY a 20 minute lunch after loading the truck and a 5 minute break in the late afternoon! Nearly every picture and breakable item in the house was wrapped and safely boxed - thanks, you saved my life! John delivered supplies that were needed, and the whole team was fast, efficient, and extremely careful. The packing of the truck was a work of art - seriously. And my sweetheart lost the bet - yes, they did get everything in the truck, with even a little room to spare! The team put back together every piece of furniture they had taken apart, and when the truck was unpacked, Joe led all of us on a room by room tour to place everything just where we wanted it. This was after 10+ hours of steady and grueling work! We agree that we have never seen anything like this amazing team! Thanks also to Dan for his initial visit and to John for the confirmation call ahead of the move and the follow-up call afterwards. I must say how grateful I am for this team's time, patience, and huge physical effort. They were consistently kind, attentive, and pleasant. Long before the end of the day, they felt like old friends to us. Leaving her country home after 31 years was a difficult, difficult decision for my mom to make. I'm not one for writing reviews, but at the same time I use them religiously when finding a new business. My experience moving with Gabriel, Louis, and Gil was just to good to not share... I have done more than my share of moving as I have move 24 times in the last 25 years. In the beginning I was young and traveled light. Towards the end I have collected so much stuff, especially cooking gear, that these moves are really more like moving a small family. Of all 24 moves, this last move with Gabriel, Gil, and Louis was by far the best move I have ever done, despite having to move across the country! Gabriel set up the move and did my estimate. I specifically chose this company because of the confidence he instilled in me that they would not only get the job done, but that they were already thinking about contingency plans for anything that could go wrong- weather, road closures, etc. Gil and Louis packed up all 2000 sq. feet in 2 days. They worked hard and they were extremely conscientious, making sure everything was packed properly and safely. Not one thing broke on the entire move!! Beyond that, Gil and Louis are two very nice gentlemen who are polite, respectful, and a pleasure to have around. While I drove across the country in my vehicle, Gil followed with the truck. I was given regular updates from Gil and Gabriel before I would even have time to start worrying. Gil unloaded the truck with some local help who were more than adequate, but it takes a lot to fill Gil and Louis' shoes! If you have any concerns about moving, these are your guys. I cannot say enough nice things about American Moving & Storage!!!! The entire process was a breeze because of the company's professionalism and reliability! Branden, Eddie, George, and Luis were OUTSTANDING! They made moving day actually enjoyable with their friendly, courteous, can-do attitudes! And Todd was great to work with over the phone in the booking process! From day-one, my interactions with this company confirmed that I made the right choice. I researched many moving companies and received a several estimates, and while this company was the most expensive, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! We went with a cheaper company for our previous move ten years ago, and let me tell you, it was so not worth it! American Moving & Storage is worth EVERY penny! They definitely deserve all of their 5-star ratings! Take the stress out of moving and hire this company; you won't regret it! They treated us, our home, and our belongings like we were royalty. They covered every piece of furniture--even the cheap Ikea stuff that I said not to worry about--with furniture blankets, and they covered the stair rails and door frames with protection as well. They even rolled out the "red carpet" to protect our wood floors. Branden, Eddie, George, and Luis worked so well as a team and they had the BEST energy--they spoke kindly and calmly to one another when maneuvering heavy pieces of furniture and joked around in a very uplifting and relaxing manner. It was such a relief to have them take care of us on moving day!!! They even rearranged our bedroom furniture for me several times until I was satisfied with the arrangement. So patient and so kind! They did an amazing job with our move and I would highly recommend them to anyone that wants a professional courteous moving company!! John did a great job in the office to help us get everything confirmed. He checked in often to make sure that we had all of our questions answered. This was our first time using a moving company and we were worried it would cost an arm and a leg, however their pricing was really fair. When you compare the costs to rent a moving truck and do all of the work yourself it was almost a no-brainier to go with American Moving & Storage instead. When moving day came, we had the pleasure of working with Gil & Miguel. I cannot say enough good things about these 2 guys. They worked so quickly and we never felt like they were trying take advantage of us by extending their hourly time frame. I honestly don't think it would be humanly possible for anyone to work any faster than Gil & Miguel did. They did a wonderful job making sure all of our items got to the proper rooms and were set up exactly where we wanted them. Miguel even helped me come up with an alternate plan when a couch we had didn't fit in the room we originally planed to put it in. We also had several other companies delivering our appliances and new furniture at the same time they were working. I was worried this would cause a cluster, but Gil & Miguel were really accommodating and helped make sure we didn't have an issue with any of the deliveries that day. BEST. MOVE. EVER. Just Awesome. Everything promised and more to keep things clean, running smoothly and in a timely way. Sean, Joe and Kai were helpful, funny, great attitudes. They constantly sanitized their hands at both locations, used clean blankets, worked with my husband to help him self transporting fragile stuff and keep things clean from a germ perspective especially on my personal things like clothes (which we hadn't even asked for) and our mattress etc. Disabled and auto-Immune disease people should ALL know about your company. This stuff is a nightmare for those of us in this situation and so difficult to get people to understand that honestly, someone's weird flu, can kill me if I catch it and it goes systemic and if I get sick from carried germs it happens scary fast and I'm good, so that's awesome. Nothing damaged, great care taken even with the cheap things we had, just as much with our higher end things and boxes of fragile art, heirlooms from Australia, designer apparel and designer decor I packed well myself. Not a chip, crack or break in anything, dented box, nothing. Nothing was dusty or dirty from the truck, everything was wrapped, and if fabric, plastic wrapped or both. Hardly more expensive than competitors and took less time, so really, it was no more in total $ in the end for a great experience. ANYONE can call me for a reference. FIVE STARS. read more

My husband and I recently relocated from Longmont, CO to Tempe, AZ. We used American Moving to load our truck (had I done more research, I would have realized that they rented trucks, as well). The two gentlemen that loaded us were FANTASTIC! Albert and Walter are the best of the best. I didn't realize that it would take so long to load the truck and I should have had three guys; but those two took seven hours of hard work and took great care of our belongings and treated everything with respect. We had a bit of a snafu, in that our truck filled up and we still had some lingering items; one being a brand new couch that had just been delivered. Albert and Walter were basically finished with their job and had to go to another job, but they both came back at the end of their work day on their own personal time to help us load another trailer. My husband and I did not know how we were going to get the job done on our own. God bless those two wonderful men for coming back. WOW! They made what was a very stressful day, very tolerable. American moved us in early March. We had previously used their services in 2013 and we were completely satisfied with everything they did so even though this move would be more complicated - we had to store everything for several months - we made the decision to use them again. As on the prior move we were very happy with their services from the estimate to the actual packing and storing. The guys were totally professional and worked so hard to get our move inventoried and packed in the vaults as quickly as possible. We had one small glitch after a a short-lived rain/snow event where the guys started coming in through the garage rather than the front door where the carpet protection was causing some very dirty areas on the back stairs and hallway. I spoke with John the next day and he arranged for a professional carpet cleaner to meet us at the house the next day. The carpet looked great when they were finished and the closing of the sale of our home went off without a hitch. I would not hesitate to recommend American Moving to anyone (and have already) and look forward to working with them again when our belongings are moved from storage and into our new home. read more

If you are moving, and need to hire movers, look no further! This is an exceptional company and team. Anthony was fantastic every step of the way. From our initial meeting, to follow up calls and emails to make sure we were ready to go, he put us at ease throughout the entire process. When moving day arrived, Jason, Jerome and Sergio were on time, incredibly careful, professional and courteous. Even with a last minute change in plans on moving some items to storage, all of them, including Anthony, were able to seamlessly accommodate our needs. Turning what could have been a stressful situation into just another step in the process. And with a last minute change, they STILL came in under the quoted timeframe. All the while, every one of them with a friendly, helpful manner. We had a followup move of more items to storage, and Jason and Luis showed up on time, and were done within an hour, all without issue. Again, very professional and friendly! These guys are amazing!! What an exceptional experience. We were in the process of selling our vacation home in Colorado and selling it furnished. What we had to move other than the furnishings fit in 32 boxes and other containers weighing 3,100 lbs. We contacted American Moving & Storage (Bekins) to get an estimate. Todd Madden, moving consultant, came out the next day and took the inventory. Other movers in the area gave an estimate and did not come out. The movers came in one day for 3 hours to box the furnishings. The next day the moving van came out and loaded in an hour. Finally on Friday, Sept 21, 2018 the moving van showed up a total of 1 week later. Dale, the moving van driver got all the furnishing into a bay in our 3 car garage and did an inventory. Dale was in and out in 3 hours. It was a pleasure to have Todd and Dale take care of us in a timely fashion and they were very, very pleasant to deal with. And the price for the move was significantly less than bids from other companies and Bekin was on top of our move. Moving is difficult but these guys were exceptional. I cannot say enough about Charlie and Josh from American Movers! They were exceptional! I had a really bad experience with a previous mover and working with a moving company for my recent move made me anxious. I was the quintessential "Got scammed by a Mover!" and this was the last thing I wanted to do. I worked with Bill, inside guy, for a quote. Although they were a bit higher than I expected (I did live on the third floor with NO elevator), the services and care they provided were worth the little extra money. I submitted an inventory list, along with pictures and he came up with an extremely close timeframe for my move. When Charlie and Josh arrived they were pleasant and EXETREMELY respectful to me, my husband and kids...AND they were VERY careful with my items. They did not "accidently" hit a wall, scuff my furniture, nothing! They took their time and did not rush with my items!! I truly appreciated this. It meant they had respect for me and my things! Today was a tough day for a move - we woke up to 8 inches of snow on the ground! I was fully prepared to have American Moving call and say that they were going to cancel and reschedule. But no, that did not happen. Instead, Jorge and his team arrived and did a superb job in the most demanding of conditions. Not only did the team perform their job cheerfully and efficiently, but when the job was done, they went out of their way to clean up and make sure that I was 100% satisified. I would be remiss if I did not mention the other members of the team who helped make this move go smoothly: Gabriel - as the owner of the firm, did everything he could to make sure that everything was 100%; Dennis - when he came for the estimate, he went over every facet of the move and answered all of my questions; Luiz, Rueben, Sergio, Jose and Wyatt - these guys worked diligently, and more important, carefully. I had American Movers help me load up a Uhaul truck for a long distance move. I rarely give 5 star reviews unless people go above and beyond what I would expect as a great job. The two guys that came were VERY hardworking. They didn't take a single break the whole time. I had gotten ill a couple days before the move, so I was not as prepared as I would have wanted to have been. They helped me in any way that I requested (wrapping stuff up, closing boxes, moving items around for me, ect). Not a single thing broke on the move. I think this was because of how well they wrapped everything and also how the loaded up the truck. Everything was packed in tight, so nothing shifted around during the 1000+ mile trip. And they actually did everything right by putting the heavy boxes at the bottom (novel concept, but most movers I have had in the past didn't do this). I had expected bout 2-3 hours of work, and they guys were done in a little over 1 hour. I would use them again if I am ever am back in the area, and I definitely recommend them. read more

We could not be more thrilled with our entire experience with American Moving & Storage. My husband and I have never used a moving company so we weren't sure what to expect. However, we were happy with every single aspect from the first phone call, to our consultation, the packing and finally the actual move. I was surprised with how thorough the consolation was, moving from room to room and discussing what would need packing and what would need moving. The actual estimate was quite a bit above our price range so we ended up scaling things back but it was still the perfect amount of hours and movers. The best part of the entire experience were our packers/movers Gil, Ruben, and Ray. They were such incredibly hard working, professional, and kind young men. They were receptive to any task set before them and worked harder and faster than I ever could have! AMAZING MOVERS! We used American Moving to move from Denver to Virginia. Since we've moved almost every year for the past few years we consider ourselves experienced movers - and have had our fair share of terrible movers. American was fantastic!!! From our first call, to the estimate, the paperwork and the day of the move the team was great. Most movers ignore you once you sign everything but Nick kept in touch and answered any questions that came up - he even called the day of the move just to make sure things were going well. The team that came to load the truck was wonderful. They were professional and polite - and in company uniforms. Clearly not the day laborers that we've gotten with other movers. They were really careful with our stuff and made sure everything was protected and loaded correctly. The proof they were great, not one broken item. I've honestly never had that happen in a move before. Bottom line, these guys are great! If I'm ever back in the Denver area I'd absolutely use them again. read more

After shopping around, we chose AMS. We asked that someone come to the house for a better idea for a quote. We were moving from Denver to Phoenix, but we didn't know how we were going to do it. AMS worked with us and gave us every scenario we ask for. In the end, we utilized their packing service to pack the remainder of the home that we had spent a month packing ourselves, then we hired them to Load the rented truck we got locally to drive ourselves. Gil and his team performed to perfection. The remainder of our items were packed and the truck was loaded in a way that only a professional could do as they knew what could be loaded on top of what and in the end everything made it to our destination with out a scratch. I highly recommend this team and ask for Gil and his group to pack and load. UPDATE: I wanted to make sure Gils team was included in this review. We moved to Longmont after 43 years living in Boulder. Our children used American Moving and Storage for their moves and we decided you use them, too. We talked with the owner, Gabriel. who mentioned that the movers are employees, covered by workman's comp. This was a key reason we chose American Moving & Storage because we believe that employees have a stake in the success of the business. Even though the price estimate was higher than another moving company we considered, the actual cost is based on the hourly rate and the number of movers (we had 5 movers and 2 trucks). We were extremely satisfied with the move. Packing up the trucks took all morning and unpacking took all afternoon. Furniture was carefully wrapped and moved. The movers took great care carrying boxes and furniture and made sure no property was damaged. The movers were tireless and moved many many heavy boxes of books and office equipment. True Story: Luis, Danny, and Leo were the three-person crew from American Moving and Storage that brought my furniture and household goods out of a month storage to my new condo. They worked efficiently to move everything from a moving truck and 4 packed vaults on a flat bed truck to a third floor condo unit. Everything arrived in perfect condition. Nothing was lost. When it was time to pay the bill, and give the gratuity I had planned, I asked Luis, "Where's the fourth guy?" He looked puzzled: "There is only three of us!" Surprise!!!! Their work was so efficient, I could have sworn there was an additional worker helping them. Turns out this crew are cousins, and have been working together for over 20 years. I can't say enough positives about them, and the earlier crew that packed my furniture and goods up initially.
