That part didn't go as well as it should have, the weather turned up the heat, and for as much as I watered: still the plants were charred by the string of super sunny, hot days. Left with no choice other than to make another purchase-this time I was smart enough to ask Auburn Oaks to add delivery and install of the plants to my bill. WHAT a FABULOUS choice!! She just finished putting together her Yelp friendly photo opp area. She told me how excited she was as she took pictures of her handiwork and sent them quickly in a text. I perused the rows of everything from cacti to ferns, trying to find that perfect gift. If you ever thought for a moment that you don't have the green thumb to sustain life, then an air plant might be right up your alley. The air plant display was aggressive and it allowed a range of sizes from pinky to fist and larger. Not only. Would you find the care instructions on the wall, but there were paper copies to take too. Apparently it's harder than it looks. Plants dotted the windows overlooking the neighboring business and cars that passed. Broad leaves hung boldly overhead and little potted delights sat whimsical on tiny shelves. The whole scene just cried out for a nearby cafe with proximal seating to all this beauty. This is not a bargain shop. It's a little quirky mom and pop with a slim profit margin. Even in paying a bit more, have pride that you are buying local and supporting a small business. Viva The Plant House!
