I love you Savers. This location has single-handedly furnished my apartment and has refreshed my…read moreentire wardrobe. The staff here are pretty chill, and are especially kind towards regulars. The crew in the furniture section are always quick to help me find what I'm looking for or keep an eye out for me. Compared to all of the goodwills, and even the nearby ReStore, this is gonna be your best bet price-wise. This is the first thrift store that I've been to that rotates its inventory based on the season. All of the furniture that I've purchased here has been for less than $20, and I'm talking about good hardwood furniture and even a 7ft silk sofa wrapped in the OG plastic protectant. For my fellow DIYers, you'll come across sewing machines often here, some built into tables with full kits for about $15 - $25. There is also a rack for scrap fabric, and abandoned knitting projects in the back. This location is in the prime spot, as it receives donations from all demographics. So whatever your style is, you're bound to find something you'll like here.

Why is there the the handlers for Christmas lights on sale for 3 dollars each? Bonkers. Also, the inconsistencies of pricing is frustrating. A no name brand beat up pair of sneakers is 14$, but a brand new pair of name brand vans is 10? I love how organized savers is. But some stuff is so frustrating at times.

I recently stopped by Uptown to do some shopping and while I did find some cute tops and a dress,…read morethe overall experience could've been a lot better. I was there on a Friday midday and was surprised by how messy the store was for only being open for 2 hours. It seems like it wasn't properly cleaned up before closing. The tops section was disorganized with a section for tanks that was oddly disrupted by regular blouses and then sweaters... and then more tanks. It was confusing to shop through and made it more difficult to find what I was looking for. I also noticed the prices being incredibly high for mediocre items (I literally saw a Gold's Gym tshirt someone probably got for free being priced at $9.99). A lot of items were damaged including a Free People top I would've totally bought had it not been missing beading and still priced at $20. I purchased a dress that was originally $12.99 but because the straps were safety pinned on and beading was missing, they were nice enough to give me a 10% discount. However, once I got home I noticed the sensor was left on the dress! Super disappointing and annoying since I don't live nearby. The dressing rooms were filthy with dust bunnies and clothes piled up all around the rooms with very few people working to get the area cleaned up. This place has boasted about how they weren't a normal "thrift store" because the shopping experience is supposed to be elevated thanks to the cleanliness and organization. But I'm afraid they've really lost their touch in both respects there. It's tough to justify paying the elevated prices when the customer experience isn't what it used to be.

The owner is absolutely wonderful, and she has connections to all the best local pickers, and then some. Everything I've ever bought from her (yow, I've probably given her several hundred dollars at this point, I think) is high quality, and it's made to last. There are three stories of furniture, fixtures, decorations and so on. She does take credit card (no minimum), and if you want, she can try and find specific items for you. The prices are great, for the most part, and the higher prices are justifiable, in my opinion. She will negotiate somewhat, but for the most part, her prices are firm. All of her prices are reasonable. She regularly has sales and discounts on various items. There's a parking lot next to her building, so it's easy to get in and park, but it's on the busy part of York Road with some of your view blocked on the way out - so it's an adventure leaving. The shop is directly across the street from Andy Nelson's BBQ (also a fantastic place to visit). I don't recall the specific hours, but it's not open on Monday. Call the store for their hours of operation. Key words, in case you're curious about the store's style: antique, shabby chic, country, vintage, picker, crafts, restored

I spent yesterday driving around with my wife looking for some furnishings for our new apartment…read more We started with the big one - second chance - but did not have any luck. Everything there was either beautiful but wayyy too pricy or really cheap. I've been there before and had better luck but yesterday was not great. So we decided to drive north using the GPS and searching for places along the way and this one popped up. We found the owner to be very helpful, and great to talk to. We both liked her selection a lot. It's certainly not the size of second chance (~1700 sq ft of floor space I would guess), but you can tell she puts effort into bringing good quality pieces into the store. I found the prices to be very reasonable, too. We purchased a handmade hanging cabinet with a glass door for $120 and a French style handmade metal pot rack for $120. There's a good parking lot out back, making it a nice, low stress trip even on a busy Saturday.
