American plumbing came out for two tasks: 1) quote for a water heater which was $2k more than their competitor. Perhaps they would have done a good job, but I obviously didn't hire them with that delta. 2) fix a clogged drain for which they said we needed to replace our pipes and charged us $500 for no resolution. We hired PSI Vail and they solved it the next day. I let them know on the phone that they didn't solve it and someone else did and they still charged me $500. read more

AP&H and Esteban Eudave, the gentleman who completed the work, was impeccable from start to finish, I requested service the week prior and he was there on Monday within the exact time frame I was told, the quality of the work that was able to be completed same day was better than when my house was built in 2018. Not the cheapest around but I know of companies that charge significantly more at a lesser value. I was given the price to finish the job same day and was able to approve via email and a call from Esteban! I also received photos of the work before and after completion which is rare! I was a service manager for 9 years with a company here in the valley so I was impressed from start to finish with the whole process. The plumber came our home at 7:50am this morning. He was able unclogged the toilet sink in 5 minutes, but my toilet needed double flapper. He said he is going to home deport and buy it. I told him if you charge for shopping fee, I don't want to continue the service. He said he will not charge for the shopping fee. He came back from Home Depot after 40 minutes which less than a mile from our home. Then he finished (temporary fix) the job The entire job was completed within 20 minutes. He spent the the hour very wisely for charging the service fee . He charged me for an entire hour whiche is $250. I was charged $250 for under $100 job. Today(2024/04/24) : The flapper link was broken in 2 hours. I called the company and they sent the plumber again. He again did a temporary fix but the water started leaking into the toilet. They are saying that is not part of the job. They want me to hire another company/person to fix that. The laday at front desk told me the owner is going to call me but he never did. He called his employee but he didn't have to time to talk to me for 2 minutes to solve issue. This company cares about money. Just be careful when you hire for any service from this company. I highly recomond NO to this company for any job. read more

I signed two contracts for American to: 1) rebuild my hot water heater & boiler system & 2) to retrofit an A/C system that was not adequate for 2 big rooms in my house. After finishing the hot water heater & boiler system for the $50k contract price, the hit me with a $2,500 PRV change order undisclosed upon contract signing & telling me I needed to reduce my in house water pressure by 40%. I said I was concerned about loosing said water pressure, & they said or did nothing to ensure me I would have adequate water pressure. Finally due to a leak, I agreed to said change order where GM said he'd give me better than the original 2500 price, but then while still under my one year warranty, they didn't even continue getting back to me. Then 2) regarding the $50k A/C system they installed where in the contract language it said that their systems would adequately cool said two rooms, their installed system didn't come anywhere close, so to me said $50k contract and my 90 percent payment to them is worth an absolute goose egg = worthless to me. They haven't warrantied said A/C systems, & I fortunately kept a 10% retention from these horrible crooks! read more

American Plumbing is terrible. 10 years ago when Mustafa owned and operated the company it was great. New owners, came out for many repairs of our old school boiler/heating system. They suggested a big efficiency boiler, installed and it had trouble from the get go, crazy loud, constant services. One service the tech stole our Apple over ear headphones($700) which had a tracker and we called and got the headphones back. Not pressing charges or even telling the owner. Then the boiler broke lasting less than 4 years and costing over $20,000. We changed heating and Plumbing companies, additional $25k later the 2nd new boiler works. The new plumber told us that American sold us an old unit they must have had sitting around. The whole thing was terrible. read more

I'd leave one star if I could. DO NOT USE THEM, they will rip you off. They promised to service our home on a Thursday. Three days out they called to ask if they could instead come on Friday. We told them we would have to reschedule our vacation plans to accommodate a Friday visit. They told us Friday was our only option, so we agreed to Friday. They called us the morning (Friday) of our service to inform us they wouldn't be coming and didn't care how much they had inconvenienced us. Esteban showed up timely even though it has been an extremely busy time this month. He was thorough to check for possible causes of problems with radiant heating system and demonstrated a very complete knowledge of the boiler and system. It was anticipated that a circulation pump may be faulty which would be a costly repair. However, through diligent checks only a simple valve adjustment was necessary. I requested a change from our old regular water heaters to tankless ones, and stipulated that we must maintain our early recirculation hot water system that was operational at the time, in the fall of 21. We also added central air conditioning to our central forced air system at the same time. When we came back the winter of 21-22 our hot water recirc system didn't work and our washing machine right next to the water heaters had only hot water, no cold. We asked for a correction of these errors. To their credit the air conditioning is OK and they came out at least 4 times to try and fix the hot water, but they were NEVER able to fix either of the hot water problems, and finally quit answering my emails to the owner and my phone calls. I finally gave up and hired a different contractor who fixed all the problems in one try. Not having the knowledge and ability to fix the problems they caused is sad, but refusing to even return emails and calls is inexcusable read more

Complete joke. I've spent $60k~ with these guys this year. When they were installing a bath tub drain, they flooded my garage and attempted to overcharge me. More recently, they spend a month messing up schedules to take care of an issue for me. I finally told them I had to move on- the owner never apologized, despite the repeated failings on their part. They would claim things were fixed, or never show up. One tech. cancelled last minute, because he found out he needed to move his apartment. Brad, the owner, never calls back. I finally gave up, got my refund, which the agreed to (given how lousy they had handled everything). Now fast forward, I have an issue with my humidifier they installed 6 months ago. They dont want to come back out to fix it, so aren't going to honor their work. I don't blame them- they'd mess it up anyway! read more

Had a great experience with American Plumbing. We've used them three times now. Once to repair a toilet and do a servicing of our furnace and water filtration. Another for a free quote on a new A/C unit and finally for a water heater service. They were timely, courteous, and efficient. I would see them again and recommend them. read more

These guys do great work and are always pleasant to work with. They show up when they say they are going to and all the work they've done for me over the years is solid. I do not recommend this company. They came out to fix a minor leak in a bathtub. The window of arrival was scheduled between 10am and Noon. No one called or showed up until after 1pm. The plumber then proceed to explain the problem but said he wouldn't fix it, that it is outside of his scope of service. The sealant around the tub surround had failed and he called his boss and they decided they couldn't help me. I then received an invoice via email 3 days later for $185, for basically just telling me what the problem was but not fixing it. I mailed a check the same day as I received the invoice for it stated they would accept check payment if received within ten days yet, they went ahead a charged my credit card 4 days after emailing the invoice. This company doesn't care about customers, just out for quick money. Avoid at all costs. read more

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I hired them to do a basic service on my AC and furnace. The charge came to $480 for approximately 1.5 hours of work. I also received an estimate of $460 to repair a leaky shower and 2 outside hose bibs. I understand that service providers in this area are not cheap but I would steer clear of this company. read more

Do NOT use this company. In my opinion they are totally incompetent and unethical, the worst plumbing company I have ever used. To unclog a Basic kitchen drain and change a faucet I supplied they billed me over $1000. I was charged $533.68 extra for a basic snake, when I had been told on the phone when I scheduled their service by I believe her name was Jessica, that there was no extra charge for a snake. The first "plumber" they sent after an hour clearly did not know what he was doing. He was on the phone almost the entire hour with his office. Another 2 plumbers later arrived and all 3 were laughing it up in my kitchen. When I complained I needed only 1 plumber, I was told don't worry you won't be charged for us- wrong. I was billed for 2 hrs for both a lead tech and journeyman at their hourly rates when 1 normal competent plumber could have easily completed the job in 1 hour. I have photos of all 3 plumbers joking around in my condo and the snake for which they charged $533.68 extra, about the size of a car battery, although I was told it was included in the hourly rate. They are a complete rip off. read more

I needed a washer/dryer hookup installed. I was given an estimate of $850, which I thought was a bit high but since there were some unknown figured it could be realistic. the guys showed up on time and were professional. they finished up the install in 2 hours and headed out. they left a bit of a mess, but nothing too bad. my real disappointment was when I was sent an invoice for $850. when i questioned it, I was told the amount was actually higher but they were "honoring the original estimate". even if they installed $50 work of materials (some pipe and a washer box), that would still be about $200/hr per guy. my advice if you chose to work with this company, be sure you are comfortable with their "estimate" regardless of what it actually takes them to do the job. read more

These guys are crooks..they will get your call and do the work but don't expect them to be honest about the billing. i had them come in the day before christmas to replace a boiler. They were great about getting the job done. Cuddos for that. But the owner said he'd give me an old boiler that he had in his warehouse so we used that one. $2500 later it was done but he charged me for the boiler . Oh well. Chalk that up for needing a boiler. The next time i called they did the work but when i got the bill they were charging me 2x for a job that he didn't complete the first time. The last time I called, i should have known better...they tried to charge me for a 'helper' all of $160 and all they needed to change were the zone valves. Are you kidding me??? AND..they totally overcharged for the parts and the hours that they were here. Lastly, the owner told his billing lady that he didn't want to do business with me. All i want is honest billing!! Show me the work order! They will not do this so you'd better be prepared to pay too much.... read more
