From the very first call, they were friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable choosing them. There was no upselling, in-fact Perry convinced me to drop some unnecessary equipment (which would have otherwise added to the invoice price). The installation went smoothly, and the team (David, Nathan and John) took their time to explain everything clearly and answer all of our questions. What really sets them apart is the support after the installation. Anytime we've had a question or needed help, they've been quick to respond and genuinely happy to assist. The owner, Perry, dropped by a couple of days after installation to help us out on an issue. It's rare to find a company that truly cares about their customers the way they do. Initial Communication: Before settling on N & D for my home security system, I did tons of research, including research into all the big home security companies. Unlike other companies, N & D Security does not lock you into a long-term contract, nor did they try to upsell me on products and services that were beyond the scope of my needs. Rather, Perry readily identified what would likely make sense for my home, asked incisive and poignant questions about my home security needs, and carefully listened to and thoughtfully answered all my questions. He then diligently followed up with a recommended package for my home. Perry's attention to detail, follow-up communications, and responsiveness was impeccable. And I was all the more impressed given the fact that N & D is a small team that essentially operates as a family-owned business. Installation: The installation could not have been more seamless. John, Darren, and David arrived promptly. They installed the security system and had me up and running in little to no time. I was thoroughly impressed by the service--the N & D team went above and beyond anything I could have expected. For example, in addition to setting up my home security system, Darren helped set up our doorbell camera and even attempted to help install smart locks throughout my home. I spoke with Mike on the phone last week about my situation. He was professional and patient with my little worry-filled self. He followed up diligently to my questions / concerns and provided resources that were helpful for my situation. He worked w my uncertain timeline due to this particular unstable individual's unpredictability. The situation ended up resolving peacefully. I am grateful for Mike's support throughout it, and I highly recommend working w him for your security needs - whether as a little female like me fearful and needing help; or private security for dignitaries; or for organizations needing security for events. It was difficult to figure out what to search for with private security, but through this experience, I learned through a bit of research that Virginia's Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) has a website where you can look up a business related to security and see the license info (and make sure they are legit too if you're working w one private individual). You can also read into what the differences in training are for each of the certifications. Mike has agents available who can serve as unarmed and armed security with arresting authority. (There might be more security services his business does, but this was mainly what I was needing so that's what we spoke on!)

I have to say if your in charge of security your not doing your job. I've watched your staff just walk by not say a word. I'm all for helping the homeless find shelter. But I even mentioned on to the gentleman smoking his lungs out and wetting himself. He got irate so this tells me that he's a probable risk to the families that walk daily through the tunnels. Not to mention the second hand smoke cloud he's created. Might I suggest you contact the authorities for his removal to a shelter or have metro remove him since it's their policy to not allow smoking as it's a hazard.

However, the EEOC will soon be sorting things out. The so-called leadership I've encountered is inconsistent and moody. No one's safety should be entrusted to a person/people with those traits on a daily basis; or God-forbid in an emergency situation. They have some good guards at the location (why I gave one star) but a chain is only as strong as its weakest link and a WEAK security chain is a loose-loose (pun intended) situation. I sure hope the company in question wakes up and smells the coffee before they are dragged through the mud with them upon investigation.
