Jim from Bills Backflow Service came out and literally had the gaskets and parts for my backflow (on my 15 yr old house in lincoln) and fixed it in 20 minutes (in the 105 degree heat). I offered to hold an umbrella and bring him cold water and he wouldnt let me but i did anyway. He was a great guy and really knows backflows as he works on public buildings and if you need backflow testing or fixing call Jim! He's a great local guy and has a beautiful dog that he brings too! Also he charged a fourth of what another plumber in Sac quoted (after seeing these pics.) I have never in my life tipped a plumber but did so today!(20%, too!)

This situation required turning off the water not only to the sprinklers, but to our entire house. I never write reviews, but David did such a great job that I felt compelled to write one. First, David replaced three very old, outdated valves. What I appreciated most was that he took the time to explain what he was doing and how the valves and solenoids work together with the controller as a system. As someone who knows very little about sprinkler systems, I really appreciated the clear explanation. Second, he installed four new sprinklers, one of which was a challenge because of the concrete surrounding the PVC piping. In addition, he replaced eight heads, six risers, and capped one sprinkler. He adjusted every single head across four stations and zones, walked me through each zone, made careful micro-adjustments, and explained how everything worked. Lastly, he left my backyard spotless and looking as good as new. I would not hesitate to work with Mark and David at First Class Irrigation again. Jasper showed up on time, was very friendly, did a thorough job on all of our windows, and even put the screens back on (this was surprising since technicians left screens off at our old house, and we learned that the screens on our new home have to removed and put back on from the inside). I was under the impression that he was going to install the glass as well and wanted him to do it--he agreed and took my cabinets doors and the glass with him back to his shop. Everything seemed fine, however, I have not heard from him since and, of course, not seen my doors or glass. I have called, left messages, emailed and written letters and weirdly he won't answer. I think he's lost my cabinet doors, and it's certainly meaningful to me to have gaping, unfinished kitchen cabinets and not to mention out $300 as well, but this whole thing is fixable. I can't understand why he would ruin his reputation over this.
