Jim from Bills Backflow Service came out and literally had the gaskets and parts for my backflow (on my 15 yr old house in lincoln) and fixed it in 20 minutes (in the 105 degree heat). I offered to hold an umbrella and bring him cold water and he wouldnt let me but i did anyway. He was a great guy and really knows backflows as he works on public buildings and if you need backflow testing or fixing call Jim! He's a great local guy and has a beautiful dog that he brings too! Also he charged a fourth of what another plumber in Sac quoted (after seeing these pics.) I have never in my life tipped a plumber but did so today!(20%, too!)

Would not agree to it even after I had documentation. Also, they were not on time, and did not notify any arrival time windows. They had no business cards, and no invoice of the price details. Even their discount price was very high. I contacted another plumbing service, and they immediately came out. Their price for the same work was half of Sewer & Drain Champion. Sewer and Drain Champion has no credibility and is poorly managed. Do not use them! Dillon the Owner promptly responded. He said they have no recollection of my dealings with them. That is not true! One of the technicians I dealt with was Bill. He was cordial, etc. and worked to get the price of the sump pump installation down to $2500. from $2800. An employee named Chase texted me and said they couldn't offer the lower price. The other company I am now hiring can do the exact same work for $1400. So don't tell me it can't be any lower. Also, an employee named Matt was supposed to install the new sump pump and never communicated to me any arrival time. Here's a picture of the company's van parked in front of my residence last week. There was a smell emanating from our guest bath. Googling the cause of the smell put me in panic…read moremode. I called Draintech to inquire about a possible sewer leak. Kaelin answered the phone. (on a Sunday) I was expecting to get the answering machine. I described the problem and he calmly walked me through the possible causes. He gave me step-by-step instructions on what might be causing the smell. I wasn't confident that I could fix it myself, so I booked the scheduled visit that following Wednesday anyway. But after hanging up, I tried his instructions. And sure enough it fixed the problem. Long story short, if you have a spare bath that is unused. Not running the flush or shower can cause a ?vacuum? where the sewer smell could escape... (something like that, but don't quote me). I haven't written a review here in years, but wanted to let everyone know that Kaelin (Draintech) is a good and honest business. He could have kept our appointment and I would have happily paid for his visit. But instead gave me the instructions to fix it myself. That's amazing.
