I don't know the name of the woman I first talked to regarding my invoice, but the first thing she told me was that the invoice was "correct" because the plumber's "timecard " says so. She told me the timecard says he was here 3 1/2 hours. He arrived at my house 8:15 AM and finished approximately 10:45 AM and spent at least 10 minutes outside writing up my invoice and came back into my house at 11:00 AM. That is not 3 1/2 hours, that is closer to 2 1/2 hours. She was defensive and argumentative with me from the beginning. I was not treated well as a customer, you were not much better, Jacobb. All I wanted was to have my bill explained to me. I don't know how you expect your customers to be OK with being handed an invoice of nearly $1000.00 with no documentation of how much labor was charged and how much was spent on parts. There was absolutely no time in and out documented, that is potentially a problem and is definitely a problem in my situation. I just wanted to understand my bill. And I don't understand why you keep listing everything I had repaired/serviced at my house. This is the third time you have listed my repairs, once on the invoice, once over the phone, once on the reply to my review. I know what I had done, that is not the issue. Had a water softener system break and Jacob, the owner, came out very quickly to install a temporary bypass so that we could have water until a new setup was installed. I just got charged $840 for them to replace a mixer valve on my tankless water heater. The part was approx $100. The technician was worried about the water temp fluctuation and called the phone number on the water heater and sat on hold for at least 2 hours. He was told by the call center person not to worry about it, and the water temp suddenly stopped fluctuating. I was FURIOUS when I saw the invoice. Yes, I get it that I must pay for their time, but watching him sit on hold for 2 hours? I will NEVER go back there again as a widow w four kids-I literally feel like I have been robbed. They should have given me a quote before they started, but I didn't think to ask because I was in a work meeting online. The short version: Down to earth, listens to your needs, makes recommendations based upon your needs and budget, has enough staff to be able to handle large and small projects. Reasonably priced. The longer version: I moved to a house in the foothills that was 80+ years old awhile ago, knowing it was going to need help. It soon became apparent that my septic system was having problems. As the repairs progressed, the situation became dire. Jacobb was able to suggest and implement solutions that would work for us long-term and be well within our budget. Truly a lifesaver--so much so that we asked him to help us with another major problem with our property: our well water. Although we've lived on this property over three years, we have never been able to drink the water, have never had enough of it to be able to irrigate on our property, and it's acidic and excruciatingly hard to boot. Jacobb suggested a means that would allow us to store the water so that we could irrigate, as well as separate out our drinking/home use water from that intended for irrigation. Had Hopppers come out to replace 3 valves. One valve is leaking and we were assured that he would swing by sometime to fix it (it's outside so not an urgent interior leak). Well almost a year later still no stop by. We recently contacted Hoppers again to say "hey, please come fix the leak" as well as to replace another valve. So far no responses or return calls to schedule an appointment, it has been three weeks. So out of 3 valves-2 were good, one leaks and now the guy won't call back. I don't recommend them. read more
