First time on a Thursday night. Came in late night, hungry and praying their kitchen was open. IT WAS! Kitchen doesn't close until 11:30PM. IDEAL FOR GAME NIGHTS AND LATE NIGHT EATS. Clean restaurant, you can tell their leadership cares about sanitation. Sat at the bar with Courtney, SO SWEET. She's a dream. She was very helpful with answering any question I had. DEF RECOMMEND HER WHEN YOU COME IN. Ordered "steak and fries" and it was okay. Didn't really taste flavor at all. I like the fries, hot and crisp. Would get again, but I noticed all burgers on Thursday are $6.95. I'd recommend coming here for food, especially late night. Plenty of games to play. Great local bar located in Addison! They offer outdoor seating to enjoy during the warmer months . Went in and tried the bone in buffalo wings which were cooked to perfectly and crispy 10/10! The sauce was on the spicy side but all can be settled with ranch! Also gave the popper burger a try, which I would rate 8/10 poppers gave it the cherry on top however in my opinion could use some extra patty seasoning . They offer a wide variety of beers to pair with their yummy food.Give them a try when you are in the area ! read more

I went to American Tap for an event they had going on. The ambiance of the place is very chill. It's dark, modern, and has a very city vibe even for being a place in the suburbs. The bar amenities are also nice. The bar itself is pretty big, there's plenty of seating including booths and tables and even a private room. There's also gambling and arcade games. As for the service, it was lacking tonight. There was one server and at first I was kind of annoyed by her disrespectful attitude, I quickly realized that she's the only one handling an entire bar full of people. My annoyance quickly became empathy and it just sucks because it took an hour and a half for me to get my food. The food itself was ok. I got the chicken quesadillas and I must've misread the menu because they loaded it with peppers and onions and it just wasn't very good. The cheese fries were delicious. Overall, American Tap presents itself is a very well balanced place with a nice exterior and a pleasant interior. The bar crowd was all very friendly. The service staff and food could be improved and sped up a bit. I'm weary of ordering food again. But otherwise thank you for having us. read more

Wanted to try a new place, the menu looked decent, prices were great. Well it was a complete let down, wanted to order pizza, apparently they were out of dough on a Wednesday. Ordered the sampler platter, was surprised at the large portion and was like wow definitely getting my money's worth. Tried everything, it wasn't flavorful, felt literally like we were just eating fried dough, no seasoning whatsoever. Southwest spring rolls were spring rolls... the pickles literally were not salty at all, best thing about the platter was their pretzel bites. It's FRIDAY night (11/1/19) I came here to meet my friend and her boyfriend. Picture this. We sat at a long table by the men's bathroom near the bar. It's pretty slow. I got here a little after 10:30. There's 6 tables and maybe 2 or 3 servers on? My friend and I are both servers. People think servers make the worst guests. That is definitely NOT always true because when I go out to eat I look around. Are there multiple tables? Is it busy? Are there food runners or a busser? Is there a manager around? I take multiple things into account. If it's busy I'm patient. I always tip 20%+ when I go out to eat. I understand tip outs and I try to tip cash as often as possible. I'm rating this based off service. Great service attracts more traffic. But more so the food is what makes people come back. If the service is not the best but the food is great then I'd come back to give it another shot. If the food isn't the greatest I'm not coming back for more. Props to the chefs. The food is great. I got the pork sliders. Smaller than typical sliders I've had but these FRIES...are amazing. I have no idea the name of my server. She never introduced her name to us. She's blonde and white. Her shirt says "this is my day drinking shirt" She'd come over and one of us would order versus asking all of us. Like we'd all be ready to order a drink and she'd walk away after one person saying their drink order. Maybe she's a new server? I don't know if I'm dying to come back here. It had been a while since I stopped at ATP so I thought I would give them a try. (I visited on August 11th.) Yes, they have 40 beers on tap and that's the highlight of this pub. But...so do a lot of taverns within a 15 minute drive. I ordered the crispy chicken sliders and three sliders were served with french fries on the side. The three sliders were actually a breaded chicken breast that was cut into three. The chicken and the buns were dry with little flavor. The fries were pretty much the highlight. The bartender was indifferent and disinterested. Hey, I'm not looking to be schmoozed or fawned over but you could ask "How's your sandwich?" or something along those lines. It doesn't take much to smile and ask "How's it going?". Yeah, I'm a fat, old guy but my $$ is as green as the young bros that wander in. I will give her credit that she let me sample one of the beers. (That's a common practice at most bars.) Mediocre food, poor vibe and indifferent service sums it up. read more

Super excited when businesses open, specially when they offer tons of craft beers. I went there for lunch, no beer there, but I got to see their craft beer menu and like Aimee M said, the "craft beer" list is pretty main stream. The place is a very nice size. It's very cold though. Not inviting enough for me. Onto lunch. We got pretzel sticks and they weren't that memorable. The appetizer portions were pretty small. Between three of us we got a wedge salad, Caesar salad with Portabella mushroom, and a Texas burger. I had the burger, it had more of a meatloaf taste than an actual burger taste. I tried the Caesar, average dressing taste but the croutons were buttery, fluffy goodness. The salads were fresh and crisp. I know a few friends that have gone to Trivia night here and they love it. On December 11,2020, my friends and I went to this location and had the worst experience. We got there, sat down, bought drinks, and decided to play music & to our delight there was a touchtunes available. We are Hispanic so we decided to play some Mexican songs & half way through the songs we chose and PAID for, it was changed to an English song, not once but TWICE. We were extremely upset since this had never happened to us at other bars. Management/Security gave us the ridiculous excuse that "it was because someone bumped it". What a coincidence that it never happened when a non-hispanic song played. Moral of the story, spend your money elsewhere and DO NOT give this racist place your business, because chances are you won't be welcomed if you are Hispanic or another minority. read more

The wife and I are seriously enjoying American Tap in Addison. The food is all around good and so is the service. I can't believe how many different beers they have on tap. If you like root beer beer then look no further. This place gives Bigby's a run for its money simply because of the food selection. There are great burgers, wings, chili, and other snacks to enjoy. Prices are comparable to what you would pay at Applebee's or a local pub. The most we have paid for dinner plus drinks and tip is around $60 for two adults. Check local circulars for coupons. Some will publish 10% off the bill coupons (including alcohol) that you can use. I wouldn't consider this a family destination but I have seen a few parents bring in their kids for a meal. Some of the regulars get pretty loaded and use foul language so parents...be advised. There is always at least 5 different sporting events in the 20 different TV screens at any one time. I go here because of an organization that I am a part of who hosts their monthly meetings here. It isn't my choice, although it's not bad. It's a typical dive bar type of environment. The first time I was there I asked if they had wine and the bartender (which I appreciated) gave me a look and said yes but only Barefoot. Hard pass. But you can get tons of good beers and they have a full bar for cocktails as well. The bartender (a woman with dark hair whose name I neglected to get) was very friendly as well. It's not a place you come for gourmet food and craft cocktails, but it's good at doing what it's meant to. The food is standard but still tasty. The bathrooms are good (the better one is in the private room) and the service has never been slow. The onion rings and quesadillas are solid if you're looking for some grub. read more

We had a group of 5 , went for dinner about 6 pm on a Wednesday, 2 small groups at the restaurant and 1 server, no problem we were patient. I meal came out 20 minutes later 2 more meals came out, and then finally another 20 minutes the final 2 meals came out. The server never checked to see if we needed another drink or to explain the delay, in addition to that the bread and cheese on the meatball sandwich I ordered was burned and fries were cold. Highlights: -Good deal on beer. -We had 20 wings as an app (they had a great special). The wings were some of the best I've had-and I have eaten a lot of wings. -The MAC Daddy O burger was pretty solid. I live out of town, and I was excited to try this restaurant, for it seems they have a little bit of everything. However, the first time I decided to try it out, I didn't have access to a car. Thus, I ordered food from them, via uber eats. First of all, the only item I ordered was a bowl of chili. Just chili. When I received it, not only did the chili only consist of burnt black beans, but the liquid chili mix and the black beans were separate...You could legitimately tell where the mix stopped and the beans began. It was like two separate dishes in one tiny cup container. Obviously, I knew that this had absolutely nothing to do with uber eats, and was fully this restaurant's responsibility. So, when I tried contacting American Tap and Pub to ask for a refund, they were incredibly rude. The manager I was on the phone with was very degrading, (kept calling me honey), as well as telling me it was Uber Eat's fault, since that is where I ordered it from. I tried explaining the situation, and that it had nothing to do with the delivery, but he shut me down, and practically said too bad. 10/10 DO NOT recommend this restaurant.
