It's easy to pass right by Lake Street Pub as you're flying down this stretch of Lake Street but don't blink and miss this namesake spot as it has some good things to offer! A friend and I stopped on for a quick bite and it was exactly the kind of spot we were looking for: low-key with tasty food. While there isn't much to say about the indoor and outdoor look and feel, as it's literally just "a bar", it feels inviting and friendly. The staff reinforces this by being of high spirits while leaving a bit to be desired on attentiveness. The menu has the bar food classics we all want and crave and I had the chicken tenders basket and a salad. Both were tasty and of good size proportionally. Their ranch in particular was AMAZING. Coming just for a meal and a catch up we didn't linger much. However, I'm going to keep this spot on my radar as I enjoyed my visit and meal. read more

Came in to watch some soccer games with a buddy at 8am. The bartender was so nice and accommodating towards us and put the game on with the audio. You have to check out this hidden gem! They have the best daily specials. We ordered the ribs that were half off on Saturday and they were so good! The ribs had the perfect amount of barbecue sauce and were so tender that they just fell off the bone. The meal comes with a small side of cole slaw and some fresh cut French fries. 8/16/2020 I called ahead to ask about the groupon $40 worth of food and drinks. The person who answered the phone said there was no manager and said she would honor the Groupon. I am rating our server(white, short haired blonde). My friend and I ordered half a dozen wings and surprisingly that was the ONLY thing that was correct. I ordered the Me Gusta burger with sweet potato fries. I asked for my burger to be medium and it came out well done. I asked for the Sriracha sauce on the side. Our server said it was the kitchens fault that it was on the burger. I'm a server and I know that move. I've done that before. She really didn't sell it to me that it was the kitchens fault. Also I got peppers on my burger and online the menu said pepper jack, jalapeño, sriracha sauce and bacon. $16 as shown on the receipt. My friend ordered The Lake burger with avocado but with chicken instead of a beef patty and sweet potato fries. She got a BURGER PATTY and she asked for chicken. She never got her avocado and it was added onto my burger in the bill. Both burgers were incorrect. To top it off this server did NOT wear a mask which made me feel uncomfortable. When it came to cashing out she was very stand offish and rude to my friend. I do not recommend this place. read more

I really wanted to like this place, so I tried it twice. With both trips, it was pretty empty so I sat at the bar. Both nights, the bartenders were very nice and helpful. The first night's meal was just alright. I was excited about trying the Root Beer BBQ Wings. They were too sweet for my taste, but the other flavor I got was good. There was a particular flavor on both the wing flavors I tried, but didn't pinpoint it until the second trip. The second trip I brought my neighbor with me. He quickly found out that the beer list was basically a list of beers they didn't actually have stocked and that three of the four beers on tap were our or not working. Apparently the fourth and final tap was frozen? IDK. I will say that it was really embarrassing bringing someone to try a place and finding out that they didn't have the ingredients for the first, second, or third meal he tried to order. I got a Reuben sandwich. It wasn't grilled, the meat was kind of sparse and the connective tissue was too much. I got it with tots and immediately realized that the particular flavor I tasted on the first visit. They need to change out their frier oil more often. The taste was old oil that needed to be changed. I realized that with the exception of the sauces covering the wings, the tots and wings tasted identical. I probably won't come back often...and definitely not with anyone else. read more

Nothing cures a hangover than a Bloody Mary. Before my trek home, my friends and I wanted to grab a Bloody. Lucky us Lake Street was close to our hotel and open around 9am on a Sunday. Meg was our bartender/server (found out she's also the GM), and she was phenomenal! Very friendly and accommodating, and she was doing it all since they didn't have a cook that morning. I wouldn't call this place an Irish bar, but they certainly love Guinness here as there's lots of wall decor and has a few options of Guinness drinks. I didn't notice it right away, but Meg actually put some Guinness in the Bloody Mary. One of my friends didn't like that, but I didn't mind. This is certainly a little gem where you can get a drink, plus breakfast, lunch, and dinner. read more

Friday night, thought I would give it a try. Been here for 14 years and never set foot in the place. I see a Group on was available, figured I'd give it a try. Just going solo on this outing. Glad I did.....first, I didn't even get passed the mood to sit down. Walked in, after passing through the outside smoking section next to the door. This night it was a classic "biker looking bar from the inside" but no bikers inside or hogs outside. Most male, a true dive bar. "dining room" was a mess of tables without any structure, and various chairs at the tables. No foot rail at the bar....a bit uncomfortable if your tall. The atmosphere in the so called dining was very unappealing....did a 180 and back on the road to another eatery. Don't think I will return. read more

Lake Street Pub is THE place to be for a delicious meal and phenomenal service. Yes, we did go on a Wednesday night, BUT we were treated with the utmost respect!! Nicole and Mitch were fantastic and attentive, but not annoying. They offered helpful suggestions on food and drink, all of which turned out to be wonderful!! My husband and I ordered the poutine - delightfully handcrafted with a flair of breaded mushrooms and tasty cheese curds. We also took advantage of the $0.50 wings and toured a myriad of flavors: chipotle, cheesy garlic, garlic Parmesan, and Rootbeer BBQ Chipotle. All of them were AMAZING, rich in flavor, and big pieces. My favorite BY FAR was the the root beer BBQ chipotle... not too hot, deliciously sweet. Perfection. The holy guacamole burger was real good! One of the best burgers I had. I was also taught that guacamole is supposed to be spicy and it blew my mind, mostly because I'm not used to eating it that way. I don't want to go back to normal guac anymore! Went there for the first time last night; we like to stay local so it's a convenient location. First I want to start was the server we had was great she was really attentive and kind, made sure we had everything we needed and drink refills were fast! They have a good variety of slots which is a plus! We love slots, They also have darts And other games The reason why they lost stars for me is they say they keep a sterile environment but masks are not enforced, guests, cooks, servers and bartender were not wearing them. First time here after a recommendation from Bartender Megan who we drink with at another bar and we couldn't be more impressed. Manager Marky greeted us warmly and guided us through a mouth party of great drinks and food. Excellent burger and sampler appetizer tray. Don't believe the negative reviews. The new owners have only been here 1 1/2 years and are doing a great job. All TV's ARE HD. All food is great and Bacon bloody Mary's are mouth watering. You have to try it. I stopped in based a recommendation from a friend. The burger was hand patted, not a frozen patty and the fries were hand cut. I was shocked with food and service this good they were not packed. Horrible!!! Ordered ribs and wing dinner. The ribs arrived and were not cooked all the way through! Pink and runny when torn in pieces. Would not even try them, didn't want to risk food poisoning!!
