This is a copy of my review on a different Yelp account. I can't merge the two accounts so I'm copying the reviews as directed by Yelp before deleting the extra account. Great news. Justice grindth slow but exceedingly fine. The State of Nevada and the FTC are pressing charges against American Tax Services and their many aliases. To look at the documentation run a google search on "State of Nevada vs. American Tax Service". The court documents are public and you can read them online. Terrance Selb and Tyler Bennet and other assocIates are specifically named in the charges. The prosecution is attempting to recover the funds and return them to the victims of the scam. The assets have been seized and accounts frozen. If you have not been contacted by the Nevada Attorney General's office, you should contact them. They may be able to add you to the list of victims. They demanded exorbitant fees up front. They never sent me an itemized invoice, AND THEN THEY did absolutely NOTHING. If you have ever done business with these people, immediately report fraud to all your financial services, change your account numbers and change your phone number. Then go to identity theft.gov and do ALL of the recommended lockdown procedures especially the social security number. I wish I could give no stars. They are scamming liars they took my dad for over $17,000 dollars and he still owes the IRS $33,000 dollars. I'm so beside myself. My dad has now passed away and I am left with a mess. My dad has a lean on his home due to this mess and I lost my dad I don't want to lose his home too. It's been in our family for so long. These people are scammers and now they are shut down by court ordered. I'm turning them into the better business bureau and one way or another someone better pay for this. Scam, liars, absolutely awful! I wish I could give zero stars. They lag so you have to keep sending them updated information, they lie about what they can offer you, and when there lies came to surface they lied again saying I was in good standing with the IRS when I was actually in collections. When I called expressing I wasn't happy with their services, a higher up was extremely rude and demanded I either close my account with them or pay them more money! SCAMMERS!!! Sounded like a great way to settle our tax debt. They required $10K up front (which we took out a loan for). They told us they had to file the current year tax return before they could offer and compromise our tax debt of $22K. They prepared our individual tax returns, we signed the returns and they "accidentally" filed a joint return for us with forged signatures!!! They won't return our calls or emails over the last several months. We are now in collections and have received a notice to LEVY our property!! We need to expose these people. My case is of 22k, i was able to charge back 15K back, and 7500 are left that they have stolen with their deceptive practices. They have spent months promising to collect and show the work they insist has been done, and none has been supplied. I have dozens of emails asking for it. 7500 worth of work was not completed. They start off great and then just kind of fade off into the distance, won't respond to emails or calls. None of my tax problems were resolved and I wound up with a bunch of liens against my property with no help from American Tax Solutions. I'm only putting one star so this will attract your attention with tax season upon us, otherwise, it would be a -10 I heard about this company on the Alex Jones show and it turns out This company is a TOTAL RIP off. I have been trying to get my money refunded for over a year now. Gavin Dane is a high-pressure sales person who got $8000 out of me for a trust that was not needed. He lied about what would happen to an inheritance that I had received and told me I needed a trust otherwise I would lose the majority of my money to taxes. He said we couldn't lose any time on getting this trust started that we were already behind in time so I paid him over the phone because I was in a panic.. unfortunately, I had not seen the reviews from this company until that evening. That same evening, which was a Friday, I called to cancel but they were closed for the weekend. On Monday morning I called and told Gavin that I did not want any of their services and wanted a refund. Actually follow through once they receive payments would be a good start here. They make promises to get you into the system, don't start working on your case until you are finished with payments and then surprise surprise they ask for more money. Signed last year, no follow up and 8500.00 later no taxes filed as promised. Another scam with "someone will call you in 24 hrs to discuss" "the administration changed laws and we don't think we can help now" AFTER you pay all your money. Crickets now after my continued emails and calls and out much of the money I could have just paid the IRS. Buyer beware. Actually run as fast and as far away as you can from this group. They then said they would do it for the amount the quoted $5500. this now gave me a bad taste in my mouth and decided not to do business with them. After 4 years and $30,000 later, these people did NOTHING for me. I was passed from person to person, approximately 19 people in total, each one having to get up speed from the last. They didn't negotiate one penny off the original amount the IRS had stated we owe. They are scam artists. the lien is still on my property and the same amount the IRS told us we owe four years is still due. I investigated them four years ago and they didn't have any negative comments on here or the Better Business Bureau. They are lucky now to get one star from me and others. Using a spoof dialing system to get customers with false numbers, after talking to a representative they immediately try to get your name and social security number without the person knowing what they are dealing with. They immediately will close the call when you mention anything about the do not call list being ignored by them and their phishing scam. read more

I started this process with ATS as I owed the IRS & State approx $40k. They kept asking for information, which I forwarded to them. I have asked for a refund as they have not performed what they said they were going to do. The response I got was "you did not provide all of the information we have asked for"; therefore, you did not comply with the signed contract. I put together a 4 year timeline of every telephone conversation, every email and every text message which I forwarded to them with no direct response. Go figure. The only response I received from them was when I went through the AG and they said the same thing that I did not comply with the contract. I would be more than happy to provide all of my information to those that are filing a lawsuit against them. Everyone should go through the FTC and the AG to file complaints. I did and if everyone else does they said they may be able to open a case against them. read more

I paid this company $15,000.00, and started working with them in June of 2022, and since then they have not been able to get in contact with a single person in this company in regards to my case. I also heard about this company on the Alex Jones show. I can't believe he didn't research them beforehand. I'm sure there have been many people that trusted him and didn't check out the company before contacting them. I was 12 years behind on taxes. When I called and talked to Chris he said IRS only goes back 7 years so the company would file that, negotiate with the IRS, then do the next 5 years of my taxes. Should take 3 months tops. Total cost, $2,375.00. That was a lie. Hell, it has all been lies. I stupidly let them talk me into another $10,000.00 when I thought they were ready to negotiate. If I went through everything I have dealt with since July, 2022 when I first contacted them it would be several pages. Bad on me. They don't answer emails, they don't respond to phone messages. Can't believe they are still in business. I need to find a lawyer to see if we can get a class action lawsuit going and sue this company out of existence. RUN. American Tax Solutions (ATS tax group) in Los Angeles stole $72,500 from my family. They claimed to have made a settlement with the IRS on our behalf for 2021 taxes. To make payment, they instructed us to wire the funds to them and they would make the payment on our behalf to the IRS. Years later we hired a different tax attorney to discover the payment was never made and we now owe over $156,00 due to additional fines and penalties. This company committed fraud against us and the IRS. Despite multiple attempts to contact them and we have not received a call back from the case manager in months. We cannot make it past customer service and the answer is always the same, "the case manager will get back to you this afternoon.". They are a fraudulent and dishonest company, and should be shut down immediately (after all their clients are refunded in full, plus any distress, fees and penalties for not fulfilling their duties). read more

This company is a scam. They got 3000 dollars from me and did nothing. Received no calls from them at all. Then a year later they call me back and said they could get the IRS to re look at my file. I said ok then they wanted another 2000 I end up paying 700 with the promise of paying the remaining balance in 30 days. Something did not feel right so I closed the account I gave them to debit and I worked out a payment agree with the IRS myself. These people are pure scam. read more

We used this company based on a good review from a reputable resource. Unfortunately, they did our taxes incorrectly. We are getting fines and interest from the IRS. ATS Tax Group has been unresponsive to our calls and emails beyond being told we were assigned case managers, who never end up contacting us. We are not permitted direct phone numbers to reach any managers to speak to directly. Please do not use this company! You have no way to reach anyone and they pass you off time and time again without resolution! Cindy.
