If I knew it was this easy to amend a tax return, I'd have called Toan sooner for his excellent service. Instead, I waited months to respond to an IRS letter because I was terrified upon setting eyes on that IRS letterhead. When I finally called Toan, I had already called a couple of other highly-rated tax accountants on Yelp. One said they had never seen the type of IRS letter I had received, and had to google the IRS code referenced. Another wanted me to come into the office in person, by appointment. As a full-time working mother, my time is valuable. Within 5-10 minutes of calling him, he created a Dropbox link for me to upload documents, and was able to review them and call me back to discuss my return within the next hour or so. While doing my taxes on Sunday, just before the Tuesday deadline, I realized I was likely doing them wrong due to starting an LLC and not knowing the requirements. Short on time and motivation, I found Toan, a highly-rated CPA on Yelp, who was very responsive. After a 20-30 minute call Monday morning to explain my situation, he provided a reasonable quote. Despite an LA extension due to wildfires, Toan finished my taxes the same day (though the quote was a reasonable 3 day since taxes were due in less than 48 hours and a busy time for all CPA), helping me meet the original deadline--a huge relief.
