The road conditions were poor due to recent snow and ice storms. Despite the challenges, it was clear that Amir is an experienced and steady driver. My experience was not riding in the car, but rather making a very last minute late-night pickup request to pick up my boss, who was flying into Portland airport (had about 30 min before needing to be picked up). American Town Car DOES NOT HONOR THEIR RESERVATION CONFIRMATIONS. I received a confirmation for a late night airport pickup. When they realized they did not add in the $20 surcharge for the late time, they re-issued a new quote without contacting me. I have been using American Town Car for transportation to PDX for the better part of a year now, and I have nothing but nice things to say about the company and its service. Goran has always been the perfect driver, punctual and professional. He is always on time (if not a bit early to make sure he's not late) with a warm greeting and a bottle of water on-hand. If I want to talk he's always up for it, and conversely if I want to work or even just take a nap, he's quick to pick up on that as well. And as a driver I have never seen him do anything dangerous or reckless, always driving in a safe (but efficient) manner. As for the company's cars, they are similarly praise-worthy. The town car is roomy and the SUV is very comfortable, especially for someone as tall as I am. The cars have always been spotless inside and in excellent shape outside, so you can tell you're riding in a well maintained vehicle where the service cares about more than just getting you from Point A to Point B. Meanwhile pricing is fair and reasonable, which is to say it is a towncar service, but the service more than exceeds the price. With I-5 and I-205 traffic getting worse every year, Goran's service has allowed me to get to and from PDX without the high stress of driving - there's plenty of that already with flying - which has been more than worth it. Ultimately American Town Car gets a solid recommendation from me; it's exactly the kind of town car service I had been looking for. read more
