To be honest it was still a little expensive considering they were driving from Wilmette to Northfield to Glencoe, but less than the other: $840 for a 3 hour minimum for a party bus of 28. We also didn't need it for the entire 3 hours, but the options I found were either one way or 3-4 hour minimums so this was the best deal. I found their communication to be stellar both via email and text. The bus driver was on time and the kids had no trouble locating the party bus when they came out of the dance and I've heard it was one of many party busses. A few of my daughter's friends hopped on for the way home and commented that this bus was way nicer than the one they took to the dance from another company. Overall, it was a success. The parents could have easily driven these kids ourselves, but the party bus elevated the experience and the kids all seemed to enjoy the VIP treatment.

After researching local companies, I decided to go with The 312 Limo, and everything was an exceptional experience. After setting up a quote online, I was able to reserve the date and put down a deposit. All the policies were clearly explained and the communication was in a very timely manner. Since the limo was a surprise for my parents, I was able to note that when making the reservation, as well as select the stops and approximate timing for the day. I received confirmation reminders prior to the reservation. When the big day arrived, I received a text from Harris letting us know that he was down the street. He wanted to be sure that he didn't arrive too early and spoil the surprise. I was able to let him know how the timing was going, and he was ready with the door open as my parents came outside. They were so surprised that it didn't really sink in until they got inside and saw how incredible everything looked. There were waters and sodas with ice for us, and Harris had set the air at the perfect temperature. The ride to lunch was so smooth. Even in horrible Lake Shore Drive traffic, Harris navigated through the turns like a pro. He opened the doors for us and we agreed to communicate when we had 10-15 minutes of lunch remaining. Although getting our bill for lunch took longer than expected, Harris was so patient and had the limo ready when we finally made it downstairs. From there, we made a quick stop for photos at the church where my parents were married and then headed back home. Harris was absolutely outstanding for the whole afternoon and made the trip flawless. I will definitely be using The 312 Limo if I ever need a ride for a special occasion in the future. My parents are still gushing about how lovely it was, and it made the end to their 50th wedding anniversary celebrations truly memorable!

Then two weeks before the wedding, I realized we needed more space, and he was wonderful with helping me make an additional reservation. They were prompt at each pick up and drop off time. Came to my rescue with lots of cold bottled water (super important during a wedding as everyone seems to be dying of thirst), had plenty of beer for the wedding party to party with as we made our way to our destinations, and finally had a red carpet champagne toast that was super cool for pictures. We used this company for prom transportation and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience…read more The first party bus that arrived was not in acceptable condition. The air conditioning in the back of the bus was not working, there was a strong moldy odor inside the vehicle, and there was water on the floor. When this was brought to the driver's attention, he said the AC would begin working once the bus started moving. After he drove the bus and returned, it was still blowing warm air and he mentioned that the coolant light had come on. Because the bus was clearly not usable in that condition, the owner later arrived with a replacement bus. While we appreciated that the kids were ultimately able to get to prom, the group ended up leaving approximately 40-45 minutes later than planned. When I asked if there might be any consideration for a discount due to the condition of the original vehicle and the delay, the owner repeatedly stated that "it's not about the money" but declined to offer any adjustment. During the conversation she also mentioned several times that she had come from a funeral and referenced a small pickup time change. Unfortunately, there was never an apology for the condition of the original vehicle or the delay. When I mentioned that I would be leaving a review about the experience, the situation escalated and she stated that she would not take the kids after they were already seated on the bus ready to leave. At that point we simply asked that the kids be taken safely to their destination. To make matters more concerning, another parent later saw the original bus broken down less than two miles from the pickup location, which raised additional concerns about the condition of the vehicle. I reached out privately to the company first to give them the opportunity to address the situation before posting publicly, but never received a response. For events like prom where parents are trusting a company to safely transport their kids, the condition and reliability of the vehicle should never be a question. I would still be happy to update this review if the company is willing to resolve the situation. Update: After posting this review, the owner contacted me directly to discuss the situation. She apologized and issued a partial refund. I appreciate her reaching out to address the concern.
