We were committed to having a great time and chose not to get in the "ain't it awful" mindset while we were there. We paid $15,000+ for 2 people. This did not include air fare. -the hotel, Hampton Inn was great! Super accommodating, professional, and festive -Now-the basics that were far below expectations FOOD-our package indicated that it was included and it was... hot dogs, nachos, fries, etc with 1-2 hour lines. Seriously!?! For the price we paid, we expected more. SHELTER-yes, I see the seating chart. Our seats WERE noted as covered and they were...unless it rained . We literally were on the drip line and were SOAKED both days. Again, for the price, we should have had better seats. TRANSPORTATION-the shuttle from the hotel's drop off was 1.2 miles from the gate. That's not transportation to and from the derby as indicated in our very expensive package. I realize that additional distance due to the storm added .5 miles. Even so a .75 mile walk is NOT acceptable. As stated above , our package was $15k+ for 2 people ($7500+ per person). After returning home, I spoke with a neighbor that also attended the Derby. Her package was through Derby Experiences. She paid $6000. This was her experience; --FOOD- they were in section 324. Lounge/restaurant room with buffet --SHELTER-Completely covered --TRANSPORTATION-Shuttle from Spring Hill to Churchill Downs within 100 feet from the entry. We saw many many buses/shuttles doing this same thing--but not ours. Our experience was far below our expectation. Obviously DERBY EXPERIENCES should have been our choice.

When I called to make reservations, I should have received an electronic invoice the following day. I did not receive it until a month later, only because the bride and groom did numerous follow ups -(the company has messed up numerous guests travel arrangements so the bride and groom got involved to help everyone). When I finally received the electronic invoice, it was for the wrong location, not Cancun but Punta Cana Dominican Republic. When I received the paper itinerary a few weeks after that, the dates and names were incorrect. I also noticed that we were placed in the family section of the hotel, even though I made specially clear during booking that we wanted to be in the adult section. I followed up with the travel agency to get this corrected. I had to follow Up about 5-6 times to get any sort of real response - I received excuses like they had been out of town since the last time I emailed them, or just no response at all. Then when I finally received a response of some actual content, I was told that since I booked in January when in fact I booked in early December, and can prove that with our credit card statement. Never during booking was I told that the hotel was sold out. I don't believe it was because we could book the adult section if we did it through a public search engine, i.e. Expedia. In hind sight I wish we had just booked on our own so that we wouldn't have had to deal with all this. This company is extremely unorganized and I would never use them again for travel purposes. Not only are they disorganized, they are rather snarky in responses which is not how you treat your customers. What is more concerning is that travel arrangements could easily get screwed up by them because of how unorganized they are.

I find it curious that the website says "Every service we offer is completely FREE with no hidden…read morecharges" yet we were asked to pay a $100 per person "planning fee" for the bare minimum of pre-work that could have been done through the Disney park app itself.  Did not enjoy the process, did not see the benefit of using this service (but acquiesced because family members were using it and we could not be added to their plans without paying the fee), would not repeat or recommend to others.  They'll also ask you for your Disney account password, which should never be shared or disclosed from a security standpoint.   Download the Disney World app and take a little time to save yourself the $100 per person "planning fee" charged for coordinating "the Disney dining and Fastpasses" which can all be done quite easily, it turns out, from the robust app that Disney has released for park visitors. 10/10, would recommend the app to anyone.
