These movers were much better than the movers that I've hired in the past, and their price was fair. I could see that the guys were trying very hard to be careful not to ding my walls, and they didn't. They had to take apart a large roll-top desk in order to get it upstairs where they reassembled it. We had a horrible experience with a relocation move contracted with National Van Lines (NVL) through their contractor American Way Van & Storage. The salesperson from AWVS lied to us about key aspects of our move. * Moving on 8/9/23 from Cincinnati, ONE person showed up over four hours late, at 1:00 pm, to move all of our possessions from our 2,300 square foot home into an ENTERPRISE box truck * our condo sales contract specified we had to be out of the condo that day because the new owners were closing on ownership the next day with immediate occupancy * the evening of 8/9/23 the ENTERPRISE box truck broke down before our goods were completely out of the sold condo. We were officially trespassing at that point * on 8/10/23 we had to hire 2 men at our own expense to move furniture remaining in the sold condo out of the condo * The items were temporarily stored in the parking garage in a parking spot we no longer had a right to occupy * The driver rented a U-Haul truck and loaded those items onto it. The items were then transferred from the U-Haul to the broken down Enterprise box truck * Our goods spent TWO NIGHTS on a desolate, downtown Cincinnati street behind our building with only a hardware store padlock for protection * On Friday the truck was TOWED to a repair shop with our possessions remaining in the truck * Our goods spent THREE NIGHTS in thein the repair shop at which point they were covered with a coat of soot * Our goods were moved to another filthy ENTERPRISE box truck because the original ENTERPRISE truck could not be repaired quickly * When the truck arrived in Annapolis on 8/16 we saw the most glaring damage to numerous large pieces of furniture * We ended up getting over $10,000 paid to us in verified damage claims. * Now it is up to us to repair/replace the damaged goods * Not to be minimized was the amount of stress and anguish caused to us by National Van Lines due to this very poorly managed move read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Eric Wright was a con from the beginning. He argued with me about charging me an additional $900 because he said the trucks couldnt make it down my street but a semi Truck goes down regularly. He took that charge off eventually. Then said the movers have never been late on a delivery. They picked up my stuff on 5/14 and delivered 5/31 because they didn't have drivers. They tried to push it back further but I lost it. They acted totally different before and after I signed the contract. They responded emails pretty fast before I signed but totally ignored my inquiries after I signed and finished my moving. On my contract, there was an estimated 200 dollars of packing service. Remember, these are just estimates. During the actual move, I didn't use all of the packing. There should be about more than 100 dollars refund. But they just took it as granted. I sent them several inquiries but got no response at all. What a great company!!!! Not a trustworthy company!!! Beware!!!Use another company!!! Company did not deliver tool bag full of tools while moving. On April 26th they came and picked up all of our stuff from our house that we moved out of. We paid $150 per day extra to have it stay on the truck until April 29th when they where supposed to deliver everything that they moved from our old house. (note that this company did not use inventory stickers for our move) Upon delivery the Crew leader said that he did the seals wrong on the truck doors.( he sealed only one door and forgot to seal the second door) He said that he messed up and to sign on the line on the paper. Once done again we had to sign a paper saying that everything was moved. ( which we looked around the house to make sure we saw everything real quick but without having inventory stickers, this is real hard to do.) We started unpacking and putting things up. As we started to come across things that needed put together, we started to look for our blue kobalt tool bag. ( which has our two kobalt drills, batteries, Kobalt screwdrivers, measuring tape, kobalt socket set 19 piece, and drill bit set) We looked through every box and room in the house and the tool bag was no where to be found. I contacted Melinda Newport to see if something was left on the truck, on April 30th. We told her we where missing our blue Kobalt tool bag. She finally got around to telling me that there was nothing left on the truck and that nothing was turned in to there office. I had to then ask for a claim paper, which they did not offer, I had to ask for it. Melinda then sent me over to her "Claims Manager" Chris Cox. She sent me the claims form to fill out. I did and sent it to her on May 3rd. May 3rd I called Chris, to see if she received my email. She answered her phone very unprofessionally and seemed as I was wasting her time and that i shouldn't have been calling her. On Monday May 8th I emailed her asking if she had got a chance to review the claim. She replied saying that she would be finished with the review by the end of the day and that I would receive the results in the mail. Which they didn't get the results in the mail till May 10th. They said that they could not confirm that there personnel received the tools( which all was in a blue kobalt tool bag that they did take with them). I guess thats why this company doesn't do inventory numbers so they don't have proof if they don't fully move everything. They also said that i didn't note that there wasn't any damaged or opened boxes. ( well the whole bag was missing so i couldn't note that because the whole bag that the tools where packed in was gone. They also said that we signed the paper saying that all seals were all intact that were put on all the doors of the trailer. But once again the crew leader said that he messed up the seals and that he should have put seals on both doors and he only put on one door. but it was all good and to sign on the line. They deny liability for my claim. ( which the claim was for $332.32) They didn't use inventory numbers to make sure that everything that they moved in the moved was delivered. Which you would think they would do if they truly where trustworthy company. And the fact that they sent a crew leader out that was not fully trained on how to seal the doors on the truck. This company is liable for the items that where in the blue Kobalt bag that they moved from one house to the other. And they are not willing to fix there mistakes. read more

I've never used a mover before so went out on a limb after talking with the consultant. I liked her and trusted her. I received a quote for about $680 with 3 men and a truck. Moving day only 2 men showed up and I didn't think about the 3rd man. Who has time when you're moving? The bill I was presented with was over $1000.00. I paid it then had second thoughts and reread the contract and cancelled my check.Things sort of got resolved I had to meet them with cash (an inconvenience) and they charge me $35 for check not cashing. I also had a few issues with broken and scratched furniture and dented walls.I get no move is perfect but how do you discover these things right on the spot? This has been the worst experience with a mover I've ever had + I've used cross-country movers 4 times in the last 15 years. I was provided with a "Not to exceed" contract - which was one price. I called this company 4 days prior to the move to ask to include my motorcycle - and was informed this would cost more - No problem - I realized it would. I paid the bill in full prior to the driver arriving for pick-up. Driver stated the estimate was too low + was "protesting" the shipment. The driver stated that the weight was more than what was on our estimate. I received a call from the salesperson (this is the morning our things are to be picked up) and was told the 'not-to-exceed" contract I had signed would have to go to "non-binding" and I would have to pay for total weight. My response was "wait a second - you're the professional and I showed you everything that had to be moved + we have a "not to exceed" contract. He suggested that we had "added to" the shipment - We had not. In fact we had taken quite a few things out of the shipment as we had been living in the new location for 2 months before securing a place to live that could also house our things. The manager of the salesperson was contacted and a very contentious conversation ensued - in which I was subjected to verbal abuse by this woman. Ultimately - the motorcycle did not get hauled to Florida because the driver stated that he could load and haul it - but it would get damaged. It was left in Ohio + is still there. I paid to have this company move it - and they didn't. I believe I should get the extra $ I paid to have the motorcycle included, but they state that since the shipment "went over" on weight, that I am not going to get any $ back. How is this good customer service and what kind of a racket is the moving industry if they can have you sign a "not to exceed" contract - then charge more because they underestimated the weight - to get the bid? I am beyond frustrated with this situation and if it were possible to give a "no star" review of this company - I would. read more
