I need American Physical Therapy in my life! I work a desk job where I spend hours in a position which is not ergonomically set up. I tend to get terrible neck, shoulder and back pain. I have been a patient of Dr. Amoya for years and he absolutely works wonders for me. It's been a long while since I had been in and I was experiencing terrible issues. Between yesterday and today, night and day difference. The office offers a number of services and one of my favorites are the massages. It typically runs $30 per 1/2 hr, unless of course you opt into their monthly membership option at $40 per mothly. This gives either two 30 minute massages or a 60 minute massage monthly. I tried getting a massage at a spa a few months back, the massage I received was nothing compared to the therapeutic ones I get here. It was a fail on my part because I would have felt better if I just came o American Physical therapy. The massage therapists here are really great, in my opinion. I tend to mix it up as I have found some perform a deeper tissue than others. Either way, tension is relieved regardless of who is giving me my massage. Anyhow, I love this office and I wouldn't consider anywhere else unless I absolutely had to. read more

I have enjoyed going to American Chiropractic Center for the last many years ever since I learned what chiropractic care even was. In fact, for a while, many of my colleagues who used to work with me all would go there as well. Dr. Vincent Amoia and Dr. Lynn Genet both personalize the care for each patient, which made me feel quite valued! Now, to be honest, I used to take advantage of my medical plan to enjoy a complimentary massage (and chiropractic care) with a small co-pay. So, in a matter of sense, I only got my adjustments as I wanted to massages. Then, in hindsight, I realized my back was feeling better after a series of adjustments. Plus, my medical plan eventually stopped including a massage in a visit. It's still worth it to get an adjustment and stem treatment for a small co-pay and then the option of a massage plan (discounted monthly hour-long massage or two half-hour massages). I give American Chiropractic Center five stars because of the customer service on all levels (front desk staff, massage therapists, doctors, physical therapy/stem staff, and everyone else there) and how they make me feel. I also think they offer a quality service as a reasonable price. I've been going to American Chiropractic for a few weeks now so it's time to let Yelpers know what a great place this is. First, this is a very welcoming environment which makes visits more comfortable. From the front office staff to the girls working with patients, each one knows patients' names. They are fun to chat with and are very knowledgeable. Don't be afraid to ask them to explain exercises again if you don't get it the first time. My treatment plan was reviewed with me very carefully and I know what to expect. I was also dispensed exercise equipment to take home which has been very helpful in my recovery. Dr. Amoia is great. He's friendly and outgoing and we have enjoyable chats. I've found American Chiropractic to be my go to place for chiropractic care. I've made two referrals and both love it there. When I am under a lot of stress, it seems to accumulate in my right shoulder. The pain was so intense back in March, I decided to go back to the chiropractor. Now, I am the type of person that does not enjoy it when a chiropractor says, you've got to come 3-4 times a week for the next 2 months. I've had that happen before. And I wasn't even in pain! Monthly adjustments is what I enjoy. So, I've been going to American Chiropractic since March 2010 via a referral from a coworker. My first visit included a entire workup. Xrays taken, back/shoulder adjustment, and e-stem. Dr. Amoia recommended treatment 2 times a week for 4 weeks. Then as I needed it. Now, I have decent health insurance. Thank you fellow Yelpers! I was in real need of help for some lower pain stemming from a boating accident 10 years ago. I received very good physical therapy for a year after wards. Of course, your body changes over time and problems can arise. With your reviews and a google search I made an appointment on Tuesday and they got me in on Wednesday. Everyone was very nice and knew my name and remembered what brought me in. My treatment was started with a series of x-rays because of my issue. The x-ray technician was hilarious and we went over my x-rays as he took them. I am one of those people that ask a million questions like a curious three year old--he didn't mind at all and answered everything thoroughly. We had a great conversation as he performed all the needed tests on my spine and back muscles. Next I spoke with the Doctor and she was a small blond that was so sweet. She was very understanding to my every need and was very thorough with her preliminary exam. She then put me in the physical therapy room for some muscle exercises and heat treatment. After finishing up with the loosening up of my frame we went into the adjustment room. The same doctor who must have weighed 30 lbs less than me, talked to me during the adjustment explaining in detail what she was doing. This kept me calm as I heard some cracking noises (NORMAL) that I'd never heard before. I was very comfortable and relaxed during my entire visit. Most medical offices always feel rushed and treat you like a number. A.C.C. is amazing in the fact that I never felt rushed, didn't have to wait more than a few mins to be seen and has an amazing staff that take pride in their employer. This is a rarity these days. Last summer, my fiance started experiencing moderate to severe back pain. Upon the recommendation of my cousins, we called and were able to make a same-day appointment at American Chiropractic Center. When we arrived, we were greeted very warmly at the front desk by Susan. In fact, we were greeted very warmly by everyone we met, from the X-Ray technician to Dr, Amoia, the man who would end up treating Bryan on each subsequent visit. We have been really impressed with the service and level of care we have received on the many visits we have paid to this office. We have never had to wait more than five minutes for a scheduled appointment, everyone remembers our names, and when Bryan had to cancel an appointment upon the advice of the doctor he saw at urgent care one weekend, Dr. Amoia via a call from Susan called to check on him and find out what was going on. About two weeks ago I was rear-ended by a truck. I have never been in a car accident before. Initially it was a big shock, for two days I had a constant headache. For me headaches are extremely rare so I knew something was not right considering my upper back and neck were in pain as well. I was referred to American Chiropractic and I am so happy I decided to go to them. I have never met a team of people who are so kind and personable! I knew initially from my first phone call that I was in good hands. My first visit I was a tad nervous being that I have never been to a chiropractor before but they really put me at ease. After x-rays and examination, my pains were proven by their findings and they set up a treatment plan for me. I will now be visiting a few times a week until February to get all back to "normal". Being that I wasn't expecting to be in a car accident (who really is) such a long treatment plan kind of sucks for me. Had I been scheduled to visit weekly to an office with staff who are less than desirable the process would be miserable. I feel so lucky that I wound up here and I have a good feeling my visits will fly by. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional. They work with you side by side at each day and treat you as more than just another patient. I usually show up 15 mins early for my appointments and they take me right back. I work 7 days a week, up to 11 hours a day, so my back is often pretty messed up. My boss was referred to American Chiropractic Center by a customer, and suggested I go as well. I was very pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and price. Only 40 quid to get an X-ray, examination, adjustment and electric stimulation. That's a steal anywhere. I signed up for their adjustment plan that day. With the adjustment, I can get two adjustments a month for just 40 quid. Amazing. I have seen many chiropracters over the years but this clinic is above and beyond a chiropractic office. They are medical professionals that make you feel part of a family from your first visit. I went in because I woke with excruciating pain in the bottom of my foot. From when I walked in and saw Kassidy, their front desk girl and her bright smile I had a feeling i'd be in good times. During my consult with the kindest, intelligent, caring and beautiful Dr. Genet she offered to do an x-ray on my knees as well. At that point, we decided I would benefit from their 5 series gel injections. I also met with Angelica to go over the insurance portion, and yet again another very smart and kind young woman who helped me understand what steps would be necessary for coverage of the upcoming treatments. I was then sent to speak with Dr. Dan, a Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner, again another very kind, knowledgeable, funny and caring Dr explained the process of getting these gel injections. His Medical Assistant Sara, was also wonderful at making me feel comfortable with a smile on her face the whole time. After that, I was sent into the treatment area where Val and Liz, again two women so skilled at their job and really seemed to care what they were doing the whole time, did a few things and after getting one final treatment with Kimia where she ran a laser over the bottom of my foot, i walked out of there pain-free. The next day I had the pleasure of meeting Leslie their physical therapist and AGAIN she made me feel so comfortable, gave me great advice even what shoes i should be wearing. She too had such a kind demeanor. Where do they find these people!!!! I have been back several times and i have received the exact same treatment each time. After the gel injections are completed I plan on returning to them for maintenance. It is as if you become part of a family that will do everything in their power to get you feeling your absolute best. They offer so many services, they are not your typical "chiropracters." I highly recommend them and I made a point to remember everyone's name because they all deserved to be known in this post. I went to one of their seminars to find out more about stem cell injections due to the pain in my ankles. It was getting to the point that I wasn't able to walk even to the mail box without pain. After finding out the only surgical solution was to have my ankles fused. I decided I would try the stem cells before doing anything drastic. Best practice EVER. My back was out and I was new in town. A buddy recommended Dr. Amoia. They first took x-rays to assess my condition. Then I got complete care. Trigger point injections, heat and TENS therapy, hammer massage (really relaxing...trust me), physical therapy from a personal trainer, and a chiropractic adjustment. I went here for a massage yesterday. Dear Google, thank you so so much. Keep in mind, I have a normal maintenance schedule because of back problems of massage twice a week and chiropractic care once a month. I signed in and completed the paperwork, easy. I was called back exactly on time, the punctuality and professionalism were a great start to an even better appointment. I was shown into the consultation room with Kayli who explained the whole process to me. It turns out that they not only do massage and chiropractic care, but also spinal decompression, rehabilitation, and stem cell treatments. They take a whole range of insurances, but I'm a self-pay kind of person and they offered really competitive cash rates too. After a bit of heat applied to my lower back, I was shown into the massage room. Well appointed, low music, good scents, soft blanket on top of clean, soft sheets. There's very little I hate more than scratchy, stiff sheets. After 30 minutes of one of the best massages I've ever had in my life (seriously, it was like she was playing seek and destroy with knots in my back- it was perfect) I got dressed, walked out, and signed up for a membership. They offer massage membership and chiropractic memberships and I've never been so happy to be signing membership paperwork before. Amazing place, will definitely be going back. read more

Well, I own and operate a carpet cleaning company in the valley and was in a car accident and had a whiplash effect with some minor annoyance and just wanted to make sure that I was able to get back to normal and not have any effects down the road and they were nothing short of professional and helpful. My actual massage therapist was amazing. Unfortunately the front office neglected to communicate to me that they don't have a billing code for massage in order to properly bill my insurance. Initially when I went to the front desk to check out the receptionist told me it would be $60. I asked if they had checked my insurance benefits because I knew I was covered for massage as long as it was at a chiropractic office. She took my card and came back literally seconds later telling me I don't have massage coverage. I asked if she had called my insurance company and she looked away but indicated that yes, she had called my insurance company. I was a bit surprised that she got through so quickly but I thought it would be best to double-check since I have used my massage benefits before on this plan. I called my insurance company myself and waited on hold for the usual time which was about 10 to 15 minutes. I spoke to someone in claims who explained that yes, I do have massage benefits-- just as I thought. She said that the chiropractic office where I had been treated was covered under my plan, they simply had to have a billing code to bill for massage therapy. I went back to the front desk and asked for the billing code in order to verify it with the representative at my insurance company who was willing to wait on hold. That is when the front desk explained that they don't actually have a billing code unless I was seen by one of their chiropractors. I felt really misled that the person who told me she called my insurance was likely not telling the truth that she had called my insurance company. That was pretty disappointing and unnecessary. I expressed that I wished that I would have been told that I needed to see the chiropractor for them to have a billing code in order to run it through my insurance. She said that when we spoke on the phone she "assumed I knew" and that "nobody really has insurance benefits for massage anyway". It's funny, but they explained it so well after I have received the service and was on the hook for the $60. Nobody really seemed to be bothered by the fact a little bit more communication before the service was rendered could have avoided this whole awkward situation. I would have actually been seen by the chiropractor and then they would have been able to bill for both services. Both services would have been covered by insurance. They lost an opportunity to provide a new patient with two different services, while I lost an opportunity to use my insurance benefits. Sadly, I won't go back to see the awesome and talented massage therapist that treated the tension from my whiplash. read more
