I had a really BAD experience getting my PT work done by Patrick O'Brien. Based on my personal…read moreexperience, I recommend that you DO NOT GO TO PATRICK O'BRIEN for any PT work!! Let me start with Patrick O'Brien's lack of hands-on attention during my PT sessions. After the first couple of sessions, he only spent 5-10 minutes out of a 45 minute session with me doing hands-on work on my lower back. The rest of the time I was doing exercises on my own that I could have done at my home. I say "on my own" because he was in his office on the phone discussing future training clinics or talking to his admin about other patient billing problems. In any event, paying no attention to what I was doing! Equally disturbing was the way Patrick O'Brien handled my bill. I finished my PT work in October and, more than two months later, in January, I received a surprising letter claiming I owed an additional $688. Unlike what I was told by his admin, It turns out that his therapy was "out of network" and I had not reached my out of pocket max. When I called to tell him how surprised I was to receive a $688 bill, Patrick O'Brien was not sympathetic. In fact, he came across arrogant, with an "I don't care" attitude. He just wanted his money! In fact, he never once asked how my back was feeling! Come to think of it, throughout my PT sessions I never really felt that he cared about reducing my back pain! There are lots of good PT therapists in our area. I will never use Patrick O'Brien again and because of the mostly non-hands-on therapy approach and the arrogant attitude he had when I approached him about his surprising January bill, I am writing this review so others can avoid having a similar bad experience.

Lynsey came for one-hour sessions three times a week at times we worked out together. She provided massage, manipulation of the leg, training and practice on strength and flexibility exercises, and customized homework assignments that she adjusted as I progressed. I also got access to the MedBridge website which has videos and descriptions of many of the exercises. This is absolutely top-notch, professional physical therapy. Instead of going to a facility or gym and working mostly with PT assistants and machines, I got full hands-on therapy with a licensed and experienced (and very good) physical therapist. This place is run by two 12 year females and one uncaring male…read more They let the patients perform the therapy alone, without staying with them and coaching.. then, a lady who was on a bed, was asked to follow him over to the recumbent bike..he walks over and waits for her to get off the bed alone, and maneuver, her walker alone, to the bike.. He should have assisted her, and walked with her until she reached the bike. Then sets her up and walks away and goes and chatty chats with one of the 12 year olds. Unbelievable . I have been associated with other PT facilities..around,,and this is the worst.. These are older patients they have coming there,,and it is appalling they are taking advantage of them.
