Hotels.com stated that it was a Quality Inn issue and they would have to resolve it but the Quality inn refused to find any resolution for their own error. Quality Inn was not helpful and didn't not provide any assistance or alternative options for us. We ended up having to rebook and eat the cost even though we had already paid. We obviously fought otherwise but at this point it was past 1am. In addition to customer service being absolute trash, this place is disgusting. Dirty as hell, nasty breakfast, and unclean. People should really be paid to stay in this dump. Would have rather slept in my car for the night.

No double entendre, "rack rate" means the price of the room at the front desk if you haven't booked online. Maybe it also means the price when you call the reservation desk --- I don't know. During the avalanche, there was no cell phone service. Patrons get a little surly when snowed in. I ran into some British tourists who were extremely unpleasant. No, I'm not from Hong Kong, and it's not a British colony anymore. Stars and bars for everyone, but don't thank Jimmy Carter. Just kidding. Anyway, the room was clean. The AC which is also the heater is noisy, probably typical for this type of unit. The plumbing is loud from other guests but not an on going issue. It was very cold, I couldn't sleep with the heater on (Noisy), so I slept in my clothes and jacket. There are no extra blankets, the blanket provided is very thin and not suitable for cold conditions. I was really looking forward to a nice hot shower in the morning but the shower was barely warm. Too cold to take a shower! There was hot water in the sink basin though. The bed was comfy and the pillows were very good. My key card would not work in the lock I had to return to the office and wake up the manager again. He gave me two cards to try then, one did work, it was 2 am, I'm glad one of them got me in.

There was some light construction going on here to improve the hotel, but we had a king size bed, new paint, new toilet, and wow, a recliner to watch the flat screen TV with lots of channels! It's next to a Denny's and Wendy's, plenty of free parking and we found outside outlets to plug in our electric hybrid car. I think the room is great for this level hotel. There are some odd noises, but I always carry earplugs.
